Big hit. Dottie never was a classic beauty but she knew how to make herself look beautiful. Her biggest asset was her I-dare-you-not-to-watch-me personality and her beautiful waist line An excellent singer, she knew how to underplay and make the audience come to her. One of the best liked people in the film business.
Thank you so much for posting this as a stand-alone. This Burke/Van Heusen item is both a throw away ditty and -- at the same time -- a high class gem. They don't make 'em (I mean songs and songwriters) like they used to.
WHY CAN'T WOMEN LOOK THAT TODAY? Where I live the younger ones are fat and covered in tattoos. They have no self respect at all.

Its Sinus-clearing aspects aside, Grayson's voice was beautiful but she was kind of sterile, a better match for Lanza than Kelly or Sinatra.

Johnny Mercer had the hit of this. The melody was used for a Northwestern Bell "Phone-Ability" radio spot. Lyrics go like--
When Mrs. Hall can call her neighbor in Saint Paul,
While making chocolate brownies for tea.
She's got a lot of--
"Phone-Ability." :)
