I'm assuming you have some experience with particles, so I want to ask you this, you know the flame decal that is on the sword in the lost paladins of the divine. How can I make my own custom sword like that.

A concept idea for this animation:

Name- Wrathful Light

Effect- Does __ amount of fire damage, repels undead within __ feet.

OR

Name- Absorbing Light

Effect- A basic "cast on target spell". When it hits the enemy, this happens. Does __ amount of damage over time.

People are/have been making mods for oblivion forever, and it will keep going on. For instance, look at Morowind, still modders there.

And indeed, he is. But that has to do with particles is a complex system which is a bitch to learn. It took me 2 weeks just to make a flame out of it. Then you gotta add a hell of a script and etc, etc.

In other words: Oblivion does not support custom made particle systems, so you gotta work around it. Not many got the skill or patient to do that ^^

As a modder who got.. basic ... Particle knowledge, how do you make the particle texture? I can understand most of the particle effects come from either a particle system or a plane, which usually is animated: but I can't seem to find any tutorials or anything of particle texture =(

Try out "tes cs wiki" lots of tutorials there. Also, Filterforge has some good texturing tools.

I have gone through every tutorials i've seen on google and on the CS Wiki. There is minimal help on Particles.

I've gone from zero knowledge to basic particle knowledge thanks to SaidenStorms tutorial and personal help.

My main problem is the particle texture, I can't seem to understand it. I've gone through every single PS tutorial, and I still can't make any texture which makes my particle looks like fire.
