    No Surrender 1688 - 2010

God Bless the People of the Loyalist Fountain Estate.

    God Save The Queen

  • I do not believe in your god and this is not because you are protestant, I do not believe in your god because the Christian's god is for the rich. I do not believe in your queen or king because I am republican, but not republican in the Irish sense; I am republican because I want a republic for Spain.

  • @albert19441 NO ONE CARES WHAT YOU WANT YOU WEE CATHOLIC BITCH GSTQ~FGAU WESTBANK LOYALISTS STILL UNDER SEIGE! DONT BE VAGUE KILL A TAIG!

  • @albert19441 Why did you put an English song on in the beggining?

  • @albert19441 Free the basque country,Galicia and Catalyunia!

Independence for Ulster Fuck the RA!

  • @albert19441 Christianity is not just for the rich you idiot! It is for everyone. God has no favourites. Watch the video called "Davey Falcus" on here youtube to see that God and Jesus is real!

  • fuck off ye wee prods

  • you must be joking with the pictures of the bogside..its definitly not a protestant area hahaha..!

  • West of the Bann river is green, nationalist, republican and Irish.

Prods now live on the waterside, away from the city, except for the Fountain area where few people have jobs, an education, or prospects for anything except a cheap blue bag booze and a curry carryout. Northern Ireland is a jurisdiction, not a country, by the way.

  • yea this aint a protestant area... this is the cityside and also a picture of the bogside...

  • Yes, they are taken at the protestant area in Derry.

  • No they are not, you have a picture of the Bogside. That is most definately not a Protestant area.

  • IRA= I Ran Away

    NO SURRENDER!

  • At last we have people calling it by its proper name

darned republicans try to bend wikipedia to suit them by calling the city by a slang term

  • why is this called londonderry, and you have the dubliners music???

  • My grampie's family is from there. I will visit someday! My mamie's parents didn't like the idea of the two marrying because he was Protestant. She is very Catholic.

  • What a great name Londonderry is

  • I Love the name ...... LONDONDERRY.....

  • Derry is wonderfully complicated and simple. No land or peoples have touched me as deeply. A night life like no other.

  • @periodic21 Londonderry

  • Am I the only person to notice that not one person was seen in any of the photos? Not one car on the roads? Does anyone live in this town?

  • Im from the city and proud of it

  • oh derry, how i miss ye

  • God, no one wants to live in londonderry. it looks a hole!

  • You make me laugh, never been yet judging God's country.

    Londonderry's the most beuatiful place.

  • Im from londonderry,n guess wat dats da name, look in any map.your man is correct the area he showed was a protestant area it was the inside of the walls, it dosnt matter that derry is 75% catholic it is a protestant city. Londonderry is so important to Protestant history cus wen King James landed in Ireland the protestants from south of Northern ireland wer bein killed so everyone kept moving north, until they reached Londonderry, where 1000s lay under siege. Then King Billy Prince of Orange

  • I just think that people of a small island should be able to live together in peace since religion should be forgotten when one talks about housing, schooling, civil rights and so on.

  • @albert19441 NEVER!

  • At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if (London)derry is Catholic or Protestant or whatever. It is a nice, friendly city and county and very important in Irish history, as you say.

People need to get along and respect one another, be they Cath, Prot or other/none.

  • To be fair, the vast majority of people from Derry are Catholic, and even my Protestant friends reject calling it ''Londonderry'', as it sounds too bizarre and is seen as a way of imposing loyalism. Not that I take any particular side, however, extreme loyalists are not among my favorite of people.

  • We have the Apprentice Boys of Derry which is part of loyalism. Keep it real you hate the name LONDON???

  • @gondolagoro LONDONDERRY IT ISNT THAT FUCKING HARD TO SAY!

  • @gondolagoro not a clue have you?

Loyalists may have hijacked the London part but it was named london after the man who oversaw its contruction.

  • Nice Video man, this is where I live, but I don't think you realise the bother you have started by calling it a protestant area, not many people will like that. I don't care what you call it, but most people do!

  • great big sea rocks!

btw, nice photos, i hope to visit this place soon.

  • It's Derry or Doire.

  • Since you are Irish you know much better than myself.

When I visited Ireland last August I fell in love with Dublin and this is why tomorrow May Day I will fly to Dublin where I shall stay four days.

  • Yes, indeed. And on your video, you state at the beginning: "Londonderry - Protestant area". Well, that's inaccurate. Derry is over three-quarters Catholic/Nationalist.

  • You can see another YouTube of mine that states at the begining "DERRY CATHOLIC AREA", the title of the video is "Derry (Catholic area), Giants Causeway,Glenariff Forest Park" and you should see it if you visit my YouTube videos.

  • Maybe don't bother mentioning whether they're Catholic, Protestant or anything else. Why should it matter? That's the problem in the North; people there are so sectarian in their thinking.

  • sorry i hav 2 correct u instead of catholic/ nationalist it shud be taig/fenian

  • Thanks for your sarcastic comment! Of course, you're not 'correcting' me at all. I just prefer not to use racist and bigoted terms like you because I'm not a racist, angry and pro-apartheid person like you!

I have travelled a lot and find people like you very pathetic and sad really. I feel sorry for you. Hopefully you will grow up one day.

  • Hey what the hell is wrong with you folks over there (not you personally)? I was on the Emerald last month. Loved the "Irish" people in both the north and south, but didn't like so many of the (rude)"immigrant-Irish" in the south. It is just because I was a foreigner (USA) Irish folks in both the North and South were so nice (tourist means money)? I'm protestant my wife's catholic. Friends here are both protestant and catholic. Why can't yall just get over it? I'd be curious to hear your reply.

  • Your post shows that you know little about Ireland's history. The situation in Northern Ireland has little to do with religion, so it doesn't matter is you're a martian.

You're saying you found Irish people's friendliness insincere? And who was 'rude' exactly? Well, we're far more genuine than most yanks.

  • I'm not quite sure what "so it doesn't matter is you're a martian" means. I know enuf bout Irish history to know some are stil upset about the english supplanting irish during the plantation period & domination over the island 4 100's years. My point concerning the "immigrant-Irish" and some being insincere is that a lot of eastern europeans and asians are coming to Ireland. I found them not as hospitable as the native born Irish we encountered in ulster and in the republic.

  • Sorry, that was a typo. I just meant it has little to do with religion...one could be a Martian and still be on the 'wrong' side. Many people in Northern Ireland nowadays have put history behind them but it's some Loyalists who don't accept the natives of the country or the country they moved to 400 years ago.

As for the immigration to Ireland, what can one do? Immigration is a feature of modern day life in the Western "democratic" countries. Some are friendly, quite a few aren't.

  • did u realy have to say protestant area y nt unionist area jasus nw and the first six letters of londonderry are really not ment to b ther lol
