As someone who was at this game back then, when Fleury got destroyed by Webb it sounded like a sonic BOOM. The crowd exploded like someone scoring a goal.

I won't forget the female Ranger fan in the 100's who wouldn't stop running her mouth the entire game. When it was clear the Isles were going to win, the Isles fans finally let her have it, she was heckled without mercy all the way to the exits. I saw her face as she passed and I honestly thought she was going to start crying.

They consider all of it to be "too violent" now, hockey's too dangerous for today's society. It's SOCIETY that's trying to get rid of the so-called bad blood in hockey. There will ALWAYS be bad blood in hockey, it'll never really disappear regardless of how much people today try to get rid of it.

I was at this game, Center Ice, was an afternoon game if I remember correctly.

There was a female Ranger fan acting like a bitch all day, when Kvasha scored to put us ahead, she got very silent and then got barraged by Isles fans.

She left the building crying, her boyfriend was good about it as he tried to shield her from the fans, he was laughing and took it in good sport.

Bad blood always exsists between these two, 2001 everyone seem to decide to come back to the Coliseum and stir it up with the Rangers because we were a much better team than lets say..........years prior. The Rangers took exception because they had all-star teams and couldn't make the playoffs, unlike the Isles who had a legit reason to stink......we had kids in uniform. For the Isles fans it was revenge, for Ranger fans it was frustration with the Rangers.
