This may sound silly (the sound coming out of the 700), but when you've played around with a patchable synth for a while, you get to know it. You know what it can do, so when you hear something new or strange, it's worth exploring and recording.

Yes the Roland system 700 is huge, and very well build to help understanding, sadly you haven't the sequencer, I so much love the sequences running through all the modules...

synths just bewlider me. i have no clue how all those would work in conjunction with each other, i mean it's a completely different world from guitars and pedals. i love the sounds of synths, i just have no clue how they get those sounds haha.

@adude43 Why do you care enough to comment? I had a little spontaneous fun with a synth that was here for restoration. I happen to love System 700's and have seen several of them. So I get giddy when I get to mess around with one.

This is the only modular I feel comfortable around, even though I've seen nearly all the others--Moog, Buchla, Arp, Emu, Aries, Serge, Doepfer...

And once and for all, I've never claimed to be a musician nor a synthesist!
