I disagree with those who say she always looked sad underneath. If you look she does have moments of happiness and sheer joy. Nobody but a certifiably insane person can be giddy 100% of the time. Part of her job was to put on a happy face even when she wasn't. That doesn't mean that she perpetually wallowed in the pain of her childhood. I have to agree with posters who brought up the similarity in Marilyn and Britney's look. Britney Spears is absolutely beautiful when she behaves. They have similar looks, Marilyn has the 50s style and Britney has the modern style. If you don't think much of Britney, you don't know Britney enough. I'm a fan of both Marilyn and Britney.
