use 16:9 mode to amke It HD...don't use full screen while filming, or It won't make Hd on youtube ;)

Hi, I think of buying this camera. But one important thing I should know before I will buy it: Is there an autofocus while recording a video? If you move an object closer to the camera, does the camera focus on this new situation? Or does it get blurred? This is a very important aspect for me, so please answer me...thanks in advance

Yes, autofocus works fine in video mode.

you turn off continuous auto focus on the menu. It fixes the focusing problems

The video looks great, the sound is awful though. You can actually upload videos encoded in high definition now and they will work on youtube.

The manual states "The camera may become warm during use", "especially the grip area".

Then it states "this does not affect the performance or the quality of the camera".

LOL, every camera, pda, ipod, zune, every product that uses batterys gets warm when using batterys. Its a by product of the batterys conversion of energy. lol

yeah but the voice/mic isnt the best, but returning the camera because it gets HOT on your hands is just pure bullshit.

he might just return his next camera aswell because all cameras gets hot!

about the mic, TZ5 has a problem, but not if u put it out for some sound...

try to speak or sit next to the TV or something, and it should be better...
