  • My favorite caption Is: Oh, you silly goose. hahahah XD Whoever did that made my day! Every time I'd watch this video that's exactly what I would be thinking! XD

  • "In japanese, this is called a ... PEN" cracked up for a good 3 minutes

  • what exactly does watashi wa___________ desu mean? is it translated to Nice to meet you I am___________

  • @SpeechMatic no , わたしは_です , means "i (subject indicator) _______ (adj indicator)" these video's are good for tourists but if you really want to learn japanese, the crutches of romaji will get in the way later, for example "watashi wa" would be spelled watashihawa" with a silent ha if it was word for word

  • That sign doesn't say, "Whore House." 「加藤」 is a persons name, "Katou" roughly translating to "adding wisteria" when you read the Kanji.

"Whorehouse" is among others 「娼家 」.

  • Oh, you silly goose XD XD hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha so funny!! *explode*

  • Yan had a lot of baggage didn't he? (Still bitter from her divorce with Yan.)

  • 1:53 - ikemen (;

  • lol ball pen, borupen EPIC

  • 1:51- 2:03 made me LOLOLOL XDDD Idk why, but its like when she shook her head, she was like, "Ohh, you two." XDD lmao. -wipes tear- jeez. >< this video brings back memories of when i sucked at japanese lol.

  • So I can insert object into this?

    Kore wa _____ desu

Like "Kore wa midori desu" = "This is green"

  • my ears are bleeding

  • this annotations are freaking hilarious :)

  • lol, oh you silly goose

  • how do you type bourupen? do you write the entire word with katakana? or do you write "bouru" with hiragana and "pen" with katakana?

  • @olx222 All in katakana, but this video is old. This term for a pen is as unused as the English word "ball point pen". Now we just say ペン pen.

  • i want to save this in computer.how to download?

  • lol at the annotations.

thx man i'm goin to japan at the end of the year and this is really helpful.

  • These vidoes have really really helped me learning Japanese!

Thank you so much for posting them!!!

  • I'm glad they've helped!

  • wat does yoroshiku really means? I often hear that words not as to introducing one's self. or is there other meaning of this?

  • It means something like "best regards" or "please remember me".

When people introduce themselves, saying, "初めまして。よろしくお願いします。", they're saying something like, "This is the first time we've met. I look forward to having a successful relationship".

初めまして refers to the act of meeting

どうぞ宜しく or よろしくお願いします refers to your future relationship with the person you're meeting for the first time

  • And よろしく can also mean, "well", "properly", or "suitably". For example:

この件はよろしく処理してください means "I would like you to handle this matter however you find suitable"

And here's some examples where it means "regards":

お父様によろしくお伝えください means "Please [give my best regards] to your father"

トムによろしく means "Give my regards to Tom"

  • wakarimashita! domo arigato gozaimasu!^^

  • It means "please treat me kindly in the future". for example, if I meet someone for the first time (in any country) obviously I would introduce myself. but besides just introducing yourself, in Japanese culture, it's customary to say to the person you're introducing yourself to to say "I hope we have a good relationship in the future or please treat me kindly in the future".

  • Naturally in any relationship being friendly or intimate (in any country) you expect that your partner treat you kindly now and in the future but in western culture you don't say it to that person because its not our customs and sounds ackward. People would look at you like "what? treat you kindly well no shit duh". Get it now.

  • 5:45 can be very ambiguous ;)

  • those lessons are brilliant !!

    Thx aploosh!!

  • thank you for uploading

  • Thank you for uploading this. I had it on video and recorded it off the Nippon Golden Network in Hawaii 21 years ago - I still have my books. I will be able to review now!!! Thank you.

  • Yeah! This one has been missing on this channel for far too long! I love this series and credit Aploosh's upload of this show with my love of the Japanese language!

  • I'm now adding all of the videos that were missing and re-uploading the videos with out of sync audio. I've also changed all of the titles to make them easier to navigate. I'm thinking about making annotations for each video with english and japanese translations, but that could take awhile. Anyways, I'm glad you like the episodes! 頑張ってください!

  • That's awesome! I have these on my harddrive but still use your channel a lot for the other user comments, etc.

I love the new organization in the titles, too.

The new uploads look incredible by comparison. The quality is day and night.

    Keep up the good work!!
