@RoseWood5566 First off, manga is pronounced as you say "monga". It's not like "M-ayy-nga" Anyways, Sailor Moon is a sort of girly anime. I can admit that but it has a compelling story. It's not all double rainbows, sparkles, and constant giggling. It has a plot with drama, sad moments, and action and whatever you want to call "manly" kinds of anime. I like sailor moon because of the interesting characters, the plot that sucks you in. If you don't like it, then don't click on sailor moon vids.
I can understand the rants about Super S but this a Magical Girl Shoujo Anime, not freaking Dragonball Z with the exaggerated screams. Sailor Moon was a Shoujo Anime not fast brutal bloody Shonen one.

Granted, I am a guy and the like, but I can notice when there's a editor running around while saying "They can't handle the truth, they are just *insert age and gender group here*." As far as I could tell, there was one running around.
something i would have said about all this is the pure homophobia that came along with the attempt to dub Stars. The dubbers were SO INTENT on getting Lesbianism out of the equation they did shit like "What if they're really men? What if they're 'very close' cousins?" The fact is, at some point in the manga/anime every character has feelings for someone they know is really a girl, like Uranus and the Stars. But homophobic cartoon companies here couldnt take that ( to be continued)
And they knew they couldnt ignore the OBVIOUS lesbian themes in the anime/manga. Therefor, I see the lesbian relationship between Uranus and Neptune BEAUTIFUL but the god damn dubbers already called them 'cousins' in previous seasons, so they could either cut out a TON of the season and dub it in a 'family friendly' way or drop it as 'complete' or simply explain that the 'cousins' thing was a lie and be TRUE to the anime/manga, they chose the 2nd one

That's true, the dub of Sailor Moon is an epic fail, but which is worse Sailor Moon or the 4Kids dub of One Piece?
I've watched all the episodes of One Piece done by 4Kids and i must admit, i've seen more edits in a single episode than i've seen in the entire first season of Sailor Moon.
For 1 thing, Sailor Moon didn't edit characters for skin color.
The bad things were how rice balls were muffins and the editing of Japanese Fire Deity 4 resembling Satan.
True, then again, Sailor Moon didn't have too many cultural elements that were just there.
Also, one needs to keep in mind that syndication/network censor rules aren't the same. How else can Beast Wars have indiscrimnate 'shots' and missles while Beast Machines would have very little of that, given that the same production company was behind both series, for example.
We can always expect edits for series aimed at younger audiences simply due to cultural differences. It goes for anything.
I actually liked the english dub, just my personal opinion the only thing I hated about it was the edit of the final two episodes and the cut out of the episode of that told the story of sailor venus. I not a Purist so I don't sweat little things like the rice balls and muffins. WHAT I DON"T GET THOUGH is why did they cut the DVD manufacturing and productions. Its like AN ARM and LEG for the first two authetic seasons of sailormoon and sailormoon s is 400. alright show, LOVED mars and venus
From all accounts there was a freeze on Sailor Moon media during PGSM and the ratings might not have been strong enough to keep it going.
As for the Sera Myu, there are in hiatus; seeing as the actresses may have moved on to other work (i.e.: graduated), they might be fishing for a full cast.
Sailor Moon as a series is about done. The real concern is that the rights on the series lapsed, meaning no legitimate way to get more of our 'Bunny' over here.

The Neptune/Uranus thing was in Sailor Moon R. There never was an attempt of Stars , aside from fansubs.
In all honesty though, would have prefered a ton of stuff cut or access to the Japanese audio and subtitles legitimatly?
For the state of the dub, you can blame cloverway/toki usa for that.

I love sailor moon. i also agree that they should have stuck with the mangas storyline 100%
and did they really force sailor moon musicals to stop?
and was PGSM supposed to go on longer?
