I want to thank you because your video helped me learn to wheelie my YFZ. I had to sell it but thanks to you I felt a little bit of achievement in what were probably the best months of my life. I cannot begin to express how much it meant to me to be able to stunt my quad so well and so early in my learning curve.
Just about every sport vehicle Yamaha makes from their bikes to their quads is going to wheelie easy. That's just the truth. Yamaha's are the only quads I know that wheelie out of every corner without the rider holding the front end down.
@ViCiTeHD hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, ur so retarted, go play ur video games where the camera magicly foats above the guys head, of course his helmet ain't gonna move, cause the damn camera is attached to it, duh!
@ViCiTeHD omfg! for the last time, the head looks like its not bobbing cause the camera is solidly attached to the helmet, go to any other go pro video where its attached to the helmet, its not fake, some people just don't get it, wtf, do you even own a 4 wheeler?
@ViCiTeHD You kidding me right? Get a gopro camera, attach it to your helmet, and watch the f'in video and see what happens. How could I possibly make a fake helmet cam video, not to mention 5 others? You don't bob your damn head around when your riding, you focus straight, and obviously the camera moves with helmet. I hope you can understand that beyond your stupidity. Also, The second clip in this video, I used an extended mount that sets the camera a couple inches above the helmet.
Ah, screw 'em. I'm 21 now. Bahahah. My information is out of date... I saw the recommendation on a 1985 Moto4, so maybe my information is a little more out of date.
I have a YFZ450X and it is the trail racingedition among the YFZs...I love riding wheelies on mine...i had mine 5th gear pinned while riding a wheelie and it was awesome...Mine was clocked at 78mph on garmen nuvi gps...But they are geared for acceleration not top speed...the fuel injection shows better throttle responce...(i am making stock references and comparisions)
That's excellent quality 720p: what file type and format did you output from AVS and what did you upload to youtube? I'm having issues uploading 10min/2gb wmv files to youtube ex Corel Video Studio, so am looking for an alternative that still gives good quality when it reaches youtube.
@CnRDirt ofcourse it is you know you're not going to tip to the side on an atv. But wheeling a bike isnt that much harder. I've only ridden dirt bikes a few times and after wheelying the atv I can easily ride one on a dirtbike or a streetbike. The only thing thats hard is switching from thumb to twist throttle. Thats the hardest thing about controlling an offroad bike IMO, I can not perfect the twist throttle standing up going over whoops, its just not second nature its just sketchy lol.
is it easy to wheelie one of these? cause i have a predator and its front heavy so it doesnt wheelie good but im looking to get something like this to have some fun like this
@pierulz223 If the predators are really front heavy than simply standing up and pullin back hard on the throttle should lift the front end of most any sport atv. But the YFZ is real nice and light, I can stand and lift the front end in 5th gear with no clutching. But they only top out only 65-70mph. To slow down a wheelie practice using the rear brakes slightly while going backwards past your balancing point. Perfecting this will save your ass one day if you go backwards on a fast wheelie.
@raptorboyz960 The X is the woods version which basically is a shorter width (47 inches vs the 50 inches the R has.) If you're into woods riding/racing, the X is the way to go, and for motocross you want that extra width, you'd go with the R. But im not certain on all the differences I don't have either I have the 08.
next time your in the snow or loose dirt try mounting the camera backwards. ive never seen it done and would imagine it would look cool. just a thought
And hey I just noticed (been studying your clutch work carefully, LOL) that you have full front and heel guard nerf bars. They look, I think, like the pro armor ones. Am I right? If so, did you have any trouble fitting these? It is said that they produced these to be compatible up to the 2007 model, and since I have a 09, and you have a 08, I'm just wondering.
@killeret666 - I use Cyberlink Power Director. Its the only program that has worked well with this camera. It isn't a free program, but search on youtube and you can get it for free. Thats what I did.
Dude I just learned to pull the bike up with my own weight today (IDK why, first bike, learning on a 450 isn't easy, LOL used to be scared as shit of falling off the bike) Using the clutch is something I tried right away, but I don't wanna brake the grab bar, so I haven't really tried wheelie-ing with the clutch and using my body to balance it, like you do. Any tips? And what gear are you doing it in, because I find first gear necessary, but too sensitive, maybe I need more clutch actuation.
@corotor12345 - Practice really makes perfect. You have the right idea, and over time you will gain much more confidence to perfect the wheelie. You always wanna throw your body weight into it when you wanna pull the front end up, but once its up you wanna stabilize it. The best way to gain confidence is to practice wheelies going further backwards and "Tapping" your rear brake. If I gain to much speed doing a slow wheelie, I wanna go beyond my balance point and balance out with the brake.
@corotor12345 - prt 2- But as you said before, get a good feel of the clutch and throttle. The 450's are really peppy and liked to be revved, making more clutch work at lower RPM. The 400's was much more forgiving doing slow wheelies. If you wanna run a fast wheelie, you don't need the clutch at all, just shift gears when you rev out. And the grab bars are pretty strong. I just snapped mine recently on a 5th gear wheelie. Luckily, I tapped the rear brake just in time to save my ass!
Oh, ok, thanks dude! But uhm, my problem is I forget to use the rear brake LOL. And wait, fifth gear wheelie but going fast or slow, because slow in fifth gear, it would be rather illogical to snap a grab bar, fifth has no torque and won't react as violently to throttle.
And again, for the slow wheelies, do you have the throttle set, and only use your clutch, or do you use both. And, lastly, in order to pop it up fast without gaining speed, is it better in first or second gear? Thanks!
Thanks! I like the look of the old yfz's then the new R's or X's. But the new ones definitly have a better setup. But im a cross country rider, I set my quad up for woods, rocks, tight trails, ect, and the yfz does its job!
@raffertyraffraff34 - Neither, its the original YFZ450 (2008) . I'm kinda wishing I waited for the yfz450x to come out, but i wasn't to fond of the new face lift they put on the new 450.
The camera is attached directly to the helmet. If the helmet does move around, you wouldn't be able to see it because the camera is going to move with it, as well.
