  • oh goodie! thank you for uploading this movie. i love the adaptation. my fair lady but this is my favorite betwen the two

  • I thought the gong was a symbol of a J. Arthur Rank Production.

  • I am from Armenia,,but at first i like this,,,,thanks bernard shaw for pygmalion

  • i had to learn the entire play for my examination....thanks for refreshing those memories

  • I love Leslie Howard, I think he is better than Rex Harrison for this role, even though Rex was still pretty good. Leslie Howard is hilarious and brilliant in this film and is extremely good in Gone With the Wind and The Scarlet Pimpernel. He is my favorite actor from this era.

  • ZERO!!! DISLIKES!!!! :DD Yaay, I'm starting to read this play in AP British Literature<3 It is lovely to actually see it in action! Thank you so very much!

  • who here got this from call of duty BO Zombies

  • Oh thank you so much for posting this! I love Leslis Howard and I love this film. I think this is best version of the story; My Fair Lady ruined it with all that singing!

  • @MsSilentsiren I like them both very much in different ways. "My fair lady" is one of the few musicals of any kind that I can tolerate and I thought Rex Harrison was brilliant.

This of course came first, is a wonderful film and in some ways, more believable than its more famous musical counterpart.

  • I LOVE Wendy Hiller in this role. She is so endearing, natural, and earthy.

  • When this delightful play turns up, I am always reminded of the episode in Al Capp's comic strip "Li'l Abner" when the whole hillbilly family from Dogpatch are visiting the UK and coming across various British celebrities of the time. GBS asks Li'l Abner, "Have you seen my Pygmalion?" and is told, "We got a pig too, but she's a femaleyun" (she was, in fact, the family pet). This version is the best and Hiller's Cockney though not entirely authentic is better than Hepburn's or Andrews'.

  • I've always wanted to see this version!

  • thank you so much ,all these parts are help me more when I studied Pygmalion :)

  • Thanks for putting this up, it was good to see it again.

  • @AgingFishwife You're very welcome.
