For all the poor children that we continue to hurt especially the little ones without their parents in Gaza,... compassion is a gift, a virtue and divinely inspired.
fantastic reminds me so much of my parents and grandparents having a wee sing song on a sat night.. and i was on ma granny's knee and she would sing it to me. ah bless great memories, thanks.
a used tae cry ma eyes oot when I was 8 hearing this but its not the original version as the original version is more up temple, I did some research and as far as everyone knows the original masters have gone missing that PYE the original label owned
These are awesome entertainers...too bad that I discovered them at the end of their career, cause I absolutely love them! Thanks for the post! Jan from Georgia
It's a beautuful song and there's nothing funny about being blind at all. I'm blind and I have to type in brail. My brother read your comment to me. I think you need counselling and I also feel sorry for you I wouldn't swap my lack of eyesight for your sick sense of humour. Not for one minute
hey, i really didnt mean anything, i just listened to the begining and found the tune funny, thats it, nothing more, if i offended anyone, im really sorry i really wasnt laughing about being blind...my friend is blind....
Hi Luck4eva. Thank you very much for your opology. My brother read your bio and tells me you're only 17. We have all done and said silly things when we were young. But at least you are man enough to opologise. I hope you have a good life ahead of you. You sound like a nice person. Good luck. Paul.
I'll start by saying the boys music is always playing in our home and has been for at least 45 years, Twenty years ago my granddaughter became very ill and was hospitalized, went into a coma and it was said she may not make it, so I started playing TABs music at her bedside a few days later she woke up, the doctors says it was that GENTLE VOICE not there medicine that did the trick. Today she is a vibrant young lady who wants to say thanks in person
just read the comments and they bring back memories of being left outside the pub wi your crisps and juice ....... my dear mam used to sing this song and at the time i thought it was about us kids coz my daddy died wen we was weans but now i know she was singin it about her own life and i only just found out she lost her mammie wen she was 5 and her daddie didnt want her .......wot a bastard my mam also passed away wen she was in her 40s ..if i new then wot i no now maybe i culdve made a diff
when i was a wean my younger cousin sang this song at parties and family gatherings, the adults, usually full of alchohol, sat with tears in their eyes listening to it, and bunged him a few bob, little bugger made a killing wi the dosh, to all out there, all the best from a travelling scot, blessed be and merry meet.
Ma dad used to sing this song at the New Year parties. My husband who is from England thought I was kiddin when I told him the words of this song. Brilliant!!!
I wish they would re release the original pye version to this one and all the other original pye recordings they were brilliant these guys at the time. We used tae hiv hoose parties back in the 60s and 70s and they always hid the Alexander brothers sweet memories
But seriously I was taken to see these guys play much against my will as a kid of about 14, though I never dared to admit it as a child I really quite enjoyed it, trhanks to my parents who maybe just had better taste than me LOL
LOL,,, AAAAAAH At least you were in a car i can remember my old man leaving me out side the pub in a tattie van,, bring a tear to my eye,, only got one noo
I am sitting here all by myself having a little cry as it brings back all my childhood memories of time spent with my Scottish grandparents who are gone now...we used to attend all of the Alexander Brothers concerts together. Thanks for the memories...
