I must say, I LOVE Romanian accents. Being from Canada, I must say that our accents are quite boring. I envy Romanians, and you other Europeans out there. :}
doesn't sound like russian difference between russian and romanian accents are letters R and L russians say sharp R like in russian but romanians pronounce it softer and romanians speak L like in spanish

it sounds scottish because we roll our r's the same way, r's that in other english accents are silent or just different but it's 100 % romanian, and yes it is similar to the scottish accent
The vampiric myth has origins in Romania, yes. Contributors to the myth are Serbia and Hungary.
It began with Bram Stoker's book, Count Dracula. Inspired from folklore stories of ghosts and werewolfs. But the main source of inspiration was emperor Vlad Tepes III of Romania. A brutal, vicious leader of the military at the time.
He despised the Turks and the Ottoman Empire for their forcefuly imposed taxes.
And he mercilesly tortured and killed every turk he came across.
Stoker only named his character after Dracula because I believe the time period fit into what he was writing about and they were both "monsters" in peoples' eyes. Stokers story was in NO way inspired by the real Dracula, he only used his name, that's it.
And for anyone saying that's not a Romanian accent, it is. My parents sound exactly like that when speaking in english. You have to keep in mind that everyone has a different way of pronouncing things.
@ZamolxisGebeleizis Agreed. The Blood Countess, though has Hungarian roots, was raised mainly in Transylvania, Romania and has never, ever gone back to Hungary.
