  • sounds russian, so I guess he's from eastern part of Romania.

  • well depends on which region you are in... im from Iasi so my accent is closer to Russian than that in the video. Im guessing that the person in the video is from Valachia.

Transylvania is in Romania, my fellow silly Americana.

  • Haha it sounds like a younger version of my dad with better English.

  • If that's Romanian, I'm Pinocchio. I'm sorry, that's just slightly more towards the Ukrainian accent.

  • it sounds scottish because we roll our r's the same way, r's that in other english accents are silent or just different but it's 100 % romanian, and yes it is similar to the scottish accent

  • chiar ca suna ca un accent scotian in fine depinde de la persoana la persoana!!!

  • Cool...sounds vampiric XD

  • @glitch509 that is where Dracula originated from..him or Helsing..not entirely sure!

    :)

  • @Calpico852

The vampiric myth has origins in Romania, yes. Contributors to the myth are Serbia and Hungary.

It began with Bram Stoker's book, Count Dracula. Inspired from folklore stories of ghosts and werewolfs. But the main source of inspiration was emperor Vlad Tepes III of Romania. A brutal, vicious leader of the military at the time.

He despised the Turks and the Ottoman Empire for their forcefuly imposed taxes.

And he mercilesly tortured and killed every turk he came across.

  • Stoker only named his character after Dracula because I believe the time period fit into what he was writing about and they were both "monsters" in peoples' eyes. Stokers story was in NO way inspired by the real Dracula, he only used his name, that's it.

And for anyone saying that's not a Romanian accent, it is. My parents sound exactly like that when speaking in english. You have to keep in mind that everyone has a different way of pronouncing things.

  • @glitch509 Let me tell you that the second most famous ''vampire'' was also from Transylvania, queen Bathory.

  • @ZamolxisGebeleizis

    WRONG!

    elisabeth bathory was from hungary

  • @ashboy20 Elisabeth Bathory was a hungarian from Transylvania, learn more :))

  • @ZamolxisGebeleizis Agreed. The Blood Countess, though has Hungarian roots, was raised mainly in Transylvania, Romania and has never, ever gone back to Hungary.

  • @glitch509 The vampires are from romania:D

  • oh come on..This is really a scottish accent. I'm romanian and I've worked with some people from Scotland that spoke just like that.. xD

  • that definitely did NOT sound Scottish. lol

  • Defintly Romanian.

    Toata cinstea prietene ;)

  • Nope..it's definitely Romanian..

  • Have you even heard a Scottish accent?

  • sounds Scottish to me too..xD, but whatever.
