  • Tablo : 'yeah, cuz I am The Question to all Answers'

is that mean Tablo is genius? OF COURSE!

  • Comment removed

  • *-* Nocturne.. let it burn.. :*

  • @LinkShouldBeAGirl too bad its all about sex, money, and drugs

  • @Theasianphilosipher @marksene Yeah, but it's talking about the dark side of prostitution. It's mainly focusing on how people really act - a businessman who has sex with a hooker quickly goes into his house, and feels guilty when he sees his wife. It's what really happens in this world, very unlike American rap.

  • I dont like rap, but its so good..like so much!!

  • PLESE

  • ANYONE FIND AN INSTRUMENTAL

  • not a fan of rap but this is really really good. at first i didnt know who it was...sounds a bit like eunhyuk but tablo is still amazing

  • i Listen Epik High Every Day & i will TILL I DIE..

  • I just like a few rap songs. I like this the most. I love it.

  • this reminds me of the old school rap in the US that was pretty decent. now a days, the stuff is mostly crap.

  • Serious goosebumps. <3

  • I listen to this when I jungle with Nocturne

  • This is awesome. A million times better than the American bs I hear all the time nowadays.

  • @SkylarkInTheSky

I don't know what you're talking about. Eminem is still good.

  • @Javagui21 Yeah, he is.

  • fuck mp3's there lame just buy the album!!!

  • i love epik high. and every time i listen to their songs i love them even more.

  • This beat is Alchemist's 'Street Glory'.

  • honestly i'd pick epik high as the best over any mediocre artists/groups any damn day.

  • When I heard this beat. I was like wow, this sounds like "There's Something Wrong With Him" by Royce da 5'9"

Then I was like... "But Epik High just does it 10 times better..."

I absolutely love Epik High. I hate rap, but they're the only exception

  • i hate rap but this is awesome

  • Sorry but Epik High definitely owns Eminem ANY frickin day of the week.

  • They really paint a story in my mind with their lyrics.

  • Man, the beat makes me chill down to my bones.

    Brrrrr.

  • @Jets262 I agree with you.I love epik high, but idols are in a totally diff category.love them both! x)))

  • this pwns all the faggot ass dance idols who dominate kpop these days.

  • @ninoisintheskies Amen to that.

  • @ninoisintheskies

I agree with you to some extent, Epik High is definitely my favorite Korean group out there, been listening to them since '06, but I wouldn't go as far as to bash mainstream kpop either. Those guys work hard and have talent too! Plus Tablo is friends with quite a few of them x]

  • epicest line ever:

''I am the Question to all Answers''

  • @AgeOfZombies because "genius is not the answer to all questions. it's the question to all answers"

  • pasala a español!!!

  • tablo's one of best lyricsist

  • I like how you can tell their music is amazing when after ~ 60k views 407 people can like this video and not a single person dislike it.

    EPIK HIGH FOREVER!

  • Little that I known how awesome rap can be coming from Korea. I've been feed with stupid so called rapping in idol music.

Kpop idol music didnt bring justice to how awesome the real musician of South Korea. I am ashamed of myself on how shallow my knowledge about SK music. Epic High how I wish I get to know you earlier.

  • Just came across a song that kinda sounded like this song...plagiarized Epik High perhaps? youtube(dot)com/watch?v=L3jYZ1UMkYQ

  • Tablo, forever my inspiration <3

  • my dad was near by when suddenly..."love and sex" came out. o.o ------silence----- *quickly close youtube tab*

  • i've never heard anything about them before... SHAME ON ME!!! this is amazing, awsome.. can't find the right words

    love this song

  • There is a reason why this song hasn't been disliked yet :3

  • For Korean's this is pretty fucking ill.

  • "cuz I am, the question to all answers" OMG so epik

listening to epik high gets me back to real life again~

  • Tablo the poet

  • idc what people say about k-pop, epik high hits the lyrics deep

  • just perfect

  • holy shii-- did anyone else read these lyrics? that some intense poetry..

  • @123courage yeah awesome

  • Epik high are the gods!

  • I wish rap in the US was more like this.

  • @LinkShouldBeAGirl The mainstream US rap might be a bunch of 'look at ma bling and this chick on my arm' but if you go a bit underground, there's some great artists...

  • @LinkShouldBeAGirl Dude rap in US is MUCH better! Listen to 2pac, Ice cube , Game, Dre and all of those!

  • @marksene I think that person means current rap. And they are right, it's all autotuned nonsensical shit.

  • i'm really surprised. cuz i thought hip-hop is just about sex and drugs.

omg i have already fav singer. but i think it will change soon.

  • I'm happy they put some Shakespeare references here...That is really awesome.

I also like how he said he was "the question to all answers" instead of "the answer to all questions". That was creative.

  • thanks for the subs i love you, no homo

  • genius is not answer to all questions, its the question to all answers.....

cuz im: the question to all answers

  • I LOVE EPIK HIGH!!!! they are one of the BEST things to come out of KPOP!! And Tablo is a lyrical genius. I feel really sad for Tablo at the moment, hopefully he knows that he has supporters!!!! and I hope those people can leave him alone let him live his life.

  • i dislike hiphop, but this is awesome, both the music and the lyrics. only shows that really good music is not bound by its genre, ey?

  • isn't the background tune donna summer's once upon a time?

  • @viridisbaca Wow, good catch there. I haven't heard of Donna Summer before and I must say, you have nice taste in music.

  • I love how Epik High uses the trends in today's Hip-Hop and turns them around. This is what I call real Hip-Hop, music for that matter.

  • And this is why I love Epik High. ~Pure, uncensored music FTW.~

  • epik high ur my natural high :)

  • someone tell me if they got any eng songs?

and any suggestion to their good songs?

sry i'm new to this group.

  • @QueenVeeEe Closest I can think of is Mr Doctor but only a few verses in that is English but it's still majority in Korean.

  • @QueenVeeEe excuses, lesson one, follow the flow, future, breakdown supreme remix, free music, maze, map the sould some of the ones i listed are collaborations.

  • @tokitokirin oops

typo. its map the soul -world wide version

    haha

  • @QueenVeeEe Check out their song "Over"

  • @QueenVeeEe "tablo's word lesson one" "butterfly effect" "follow the flow"

  • 0 dislikes NICE keep that!

  • Man this song is really deep.

  • speechless...that was like a whole movie/novel/poem all in one, and done in only 4:48 minutes

  • I tried to write my english essay on epik high's songs..but I had to give up b/c it's just too complex, deep, and EPIC to explain..

  • Well, I always hated rap. I didn't understand this kind of music at all.. But that was before I heard Epik High for the first time. Now I love them... Their lyrics are just amazing as well as the music, just.. wow.

  • O.O

omg can i like study this instead, for english literature

    that was AMAZING

    tablooo <3

  • i love how tablo is so good at english

  • Are the members of Epik High Christian? O_O

  • Comment removed

  • yes they're all christians

  • @tokee1234567 where'd you find this info?? :D

  • @aznpunk91 Tablo states before that he believes in God. In some of Tablo's songs, he insults fake Christains, the people who act like they're holy and Christian when they don't know the first thing about God and faith. So, I'm pretty sure that when he insults Christians, he's not insulting Christianity as a whole, but those who act like Christians when they are not. I'm not sure of Mithra and Tukutz.

  • @claire1909 Oh okay, cause I've heard some Christian themes in their songs as well as many non-Christian themes. So I wondered whether one, if not all the members of Epik High were Christians. Thanks :)

  • Epik High isn't your average hip hop group. They can write real music. They can write about some serious stuff. Just to name a few, they've wrote about corruption, crime, sin, sacrificial love, prostitution...how often do you hear a song about that? They're not afraid to write about what they think about the reality of society. That's real epikness.

  • @claire1909 Seriously, my all time favorite hip hop group.I WANT THEM TO MAKE A COMEBACK ASAP T.T

  • Love the Shakespeare references. And I also love the theme of lawless, godless, deceptive, immoral night time.

Money and immorality are synonymous it seems. Let it burn~

  • Supreme T, and Street T, is the underground.. Big T. eyah, cuz bla bla bla.

U dint insert the Underground Big T

  • What does Nocturne Means?

  • In French Nocturne means something that is related to the night, I guess it's the same thing in English

  • a nocturn can relate to a final act in a play, or a swan song, if you will. it can also refer to a dark poem, final words. sort of like 'the malencholy of raphael". or "the romance of king auther". just depends on how you use it, really.

  • Someone wanna explain to me what this song is about? I have an idea..but it's blurry. Someone wanna clarify?

  • Reply: its a hardworking business man who has neglected his family for work

and ends up sleeping with a prostitute. And how the man

"wears a mask" like he trades in his identity for one night..hard to explain im not good with wording things :D

    butyeah basically about prostitution

  • @RyuuXLe i have no idea but maybe its talkin bout life at night?!!!! idk

but the lyrics r kinda werid 0-o

  • wow amazing!

  • "i am the question to all answers"

    genius.

  • yeah where did you buy it and how much is it?

  • when i see these comments

' wow, epik high finally have become worldwide rapper ! = )'

    but i found that

    ' its were ALL KOREANs'

  • Nope, I'm canadian =D XD

  • Everyone needs to chill out! Music is music. Is there such thing as a better act? Nah. In reality it all depends on your own personal opinion and preference. Seriously you guys, one can't really say that Korean rap/hip-hop, etc. is better than America and vice versa. Of course it is refreshing to listen to a band, such as EPIK HIGH, where they talk about things other than women, sex, cars, but I'm sure that in Korea, Japan, and other countries around the world they have their share of ....

  • ..... artists who sing about those topics just like we do here stateside (some people just like to listen to artists rap about sex, women, cars. etc.). That stuff is just on the surface. Im sure if you dug around the hip-hop scene stateside you would find a lot of artists with moving lyrics. Dunno. Mainstream. Undeground. Whatever! Music is music—period.

  • Immortal Technique,

    Sage Francais

  • One word:

    Beasts

  • Epik High Are GODS.

    they are GODS of music

  • Supreme T you're my man

  • as a korean born in american,i was brought up with more of the american culture surrounding me.honestly, i didn't like korean music and i just thought they were posers who took american people's ideas and used them.but when i discovered epik high, they changed the whole definition of MUSIC for me.they're making a piece of art or poetry and just adding music to it. i think it's such a beautiful thing and they should never stop.azninvazn619: i agree, it is a shame people don't know true music.

  • but don't say all of american music is bad (hip hop and pop) it has its good parts too. take black eyed peas for example. they have where is the love and that was rly good.

  • gokucrazy22: i never said all of american music is bad. i said that i was more familiar with american music as well as artists and actually not too fond with korean music. but after i found epik high, they changed my outlook and every type of music.

  • i understand u. srry if what i said sounded like i was trying to offend you. kinda same with ur idea except for me, i originally thot that korean music was just crappy until epik high, bigbang, etc.

  • don't apologize, you didn't offend me (:

we just both really like epik high and we want that message to be clear.

  • Please don't mention BEP. Where Is The Love was not that good, I couldn't follow the lyrics, because they didn't fit. They only rhymed.

American hip-hop is beastly underground, more so than Korean hip-hop. I prefer KHip hop however, because everyone who made it, and those that are still underground are all intertwined in this tight connection. It's a Soul Connection.

  • Epik High.

    I can't describe it.

    They win.

  • i kno them the songs i like r follow the flow mr doctor and believe i ish azn

  • epik high is the best rap group today. they're at the same level lyrically as tupac, eminem, immortal technique, etc.

  • true that!

not many rappers can put tablos words into verse

epik high is really really good

  • yea, it's a shame alot of Americans don't know them, truly epic. i also like that they can go into any genre and master it, staight hip/hop, catchy, sad, slow, they can do it all.

  • @azninvazn619 nah epik high deserves better

  • @azninvazn619 Epik High is waaaayy better than Eminem...

  • awesome

  • I'm so glad that I found epik high. I love their lyrics. When they talk english. O.O

They are so good! I wish they would release an english cd b/c clearly it wouldn't be a problem since they have perfect english. Plus they can teach some american artists something about true music.

  • i think its just tablo who could speak english.

  • wow thanks for translating, reading the lyrics really put emotion into me. thats why i love epik high

  • u should translated other epik high's songs.alll of themmmm, omg cuz im gettin addicted with them :)

  • EPIK HIGH FOREVER!!!! rock the mic, bia~

  • i like the beat :)

  • tablo is amazing. i wish there were more groups like epik high or artists like Tablo

  • I know Epik High dosent just make music they write things that are so true and awesome plus I went on Yesasia(dot)com and I looked up epik high and found a book of tablo like writing in english and stuff when he was in stranford and I wanna buy ppl say the book is awesome

  • ohmygoodness. i read it! pieces of you right? it's extremely...deep. it's one of those "read inbetween the lines" books. there's a lot of meaning behind it, and it's touching. i started crying on page two -_-" i highly recommend it!

  • whre did you buy the book?

  • I don't see what's so controversial about this song :|

  • i might be acceptable here in the US, but in Korea it's a Rated R song.. (if such things exist..)

I personally love the song and think that Korea needs to chill..

The anal, radical assholes there need to listen to this...

  • Well thats what you think, but before the US in medival times people would die everywhere and the smell of blood would be borned into the air everyday, now think fo a child growing in a enviornment like that, now think of Today they have ratings, and everything else. Its all a matter of assumption and how life is there, now, where etc

  • koreas best known for starcraft ^^

  • i hate all rap xcept this song :p

  • omgoodness.

    tablo's SICK.

    woooot.

  • amazing.

i'm seriously considering Tablo to be my project on "favourite contemporary poets" at school.

  • @keynna47 well was he???

  • @xxgabyestradaxx yes, he was. i remember my teacher going "WOW!" after i read her some Epik High lyrics

  • @keynna47 ur teacher now knows good music...^^

  • Ha nice beat

  • man this is deep i love the fact that they are so lyrical, even though i don't speak korean it is great to hear such a sick flow with words that cut deep in to the soul reminds me of lupe fiasco amazing 5 stars and thanks for translating

  • its surprising to hear this and hear Love love love (one of there songs), the theme and subject is sooo different

  • the lyrics...so true...

  • gosh, i really love this song :O

  • what does he mean by the question to all answers?

  • In the {High Society} album, a track titled: Lesson One(Tablo's World), tablo has a line that goes "Genius is not the answer to all question, it's the question to all answers" and this song goes on to further illustrate how our human intelligence has furthered dangered and mistreated the whole world (the song is in english so you can easily understand (: )

  • So when Tablo says he's the question to all answers it's not trying to boost his ego, rather, he's reinstating his purpose in writing which is to raise doubts about the perceived "answers" to the suffering ppl, war, deaths, unjust in the world.

I hope this answers your question (:

  • 존내좋당 ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ

  • Tablo wanted to remap the human soul. However, his music doesn't remap it. It recreates it. I hate how lyrically gifted Tablo is. When God made him, God wasted no time whatsoever.

  • *nod* sooooooo true

  • i love epik high

    (tablo inparticular)

unlike most people in the u.s. and in the music indestry nowadays, he actualy talks about important things not just how many cars someone has and how great sex is.

    i admire him!

  • Comment removed

  • can you please names some( i realy would like to know)?

and people have their own opinions.

  • Epik High is second to none

  • youre a joke. you have nothing but shit between your ears. youre just a tool.

  • wait, what?

Like 99% of all mainstream rap is about sex, girls, or drugs in America.

I know 1 song that stands out - Where is the Love by Black Eyed Peas, it's the only song I like by them. As for everyone else, I haven't seen an "important" message come out from them.

Go find 5 mainstream rappers in America and write em up here, I'd be interested in that kinda music if you're able to prove to all the "ignant peeps" they talk about something important "every now and then".

  • #1 Bone Thugs 'n Harmony

What's the point, though? I'm dealing with a very pro-Asian/Epik High crowd here and they're not going to stand for any negative comments made about Epik High or Asian music.

So, even though I'm fairly certain I'm right with regards to Epik High not being that special, as a whole and when compared to other known acts, people here aren't going to want to believe it.

Don't know if it's because of "Asian Pride" or what, but some of you need a reality check.

  • I think you are coming from a rather biased pov as well seeing that you called Epikhigh "Asian music". The point is that epikhigh's music and especially lyrics should be seen as a broader picture as simply music with lyrical purposes of engaging with listeners to question today's societal issues. And because of that plus the literary beauty within their music, people enjoy and love their music. Not necessarily because of an "asian pride".

  • No, I'm coming from various discussions revolving around Asian music artists and the American music scene today. The initial comment that made me jump into this discussion was: "unlike most people in the u.s. and in the music indestry nowadays, he actually talks about important things..". That's a pretty commom remark found on most YouTube videos starring Asian music artists.

The way they phrase their comments makes it seem like they're taking potshots at the music scene in the US.

  • With regards to the lyrical content -- I'm not Korean. I don't know much about the Korean language, so I can't say if the translation for this particular song is accurate. By accurate, I'm talking about words and entire phrases not being touched up to make it seem more "beautiful".

I know enough Japanese to see that in some Japanese music videos and Japanese shows, some Japanese words have had their meaning altered slightly in subtitles. It makes Japanese seem more versatile than it is.

  • It's fine for you to say that there are many praise-worthy talented artists out there, which I honestly dont deny, and epik may or may not be among them(depending on your personal opinion and preferences, still it's not nice or right to put epik down especially when such negative comments can hurt epikhigh enthusiasts and stir unrest.

  • Again, in my first comment on this video, I said that Epik High was a decent music act. However, I also mentioned my belief that they're better acts [than Epik High] in the US.

So, given the fact/opinion that my comments weren't very negative (I never said they sucked or anything along those lines), then why would I be given so many thumbs down?

Epik High fans can't really believe that they know of every music act in the US, let alone the world, can they?

  • There's no such thing as a 'better act' or 'best act' in music.. especially in a genre as vast as hip hop.. it's a matter of opinion.. however, I do agree with you on the note that some of these comments are real ignorant saying shit like "better than the crap from the US" because if it wasn't for the US there'd be no hip hop in Asia in the first place, and it's not like there's no stupid shit in Asian music.. this is coming from a Korean so don't think I'm dissing the shit..

  • Sorry, I meant to reply to this a little sooner, but I got a little sidetracked.

    Anyway..

There is such thing as a "better act" because if such a distinction did not exist, then that would mean that Lil' Wayne's music is equal to Epik High's in terms of quality.

Now, if you're willing to say that, then you're truly a better person than me, but even if Epik High were rapping about how much they hate brown rice, I would still say it's better than most of Lil' Wayne's catalog.

  • that would be true if lil wayne was in the same style category as epik high.. lil wayne is pop rap bullshit.. epik high has had its pop moments.. high society was the worst album in my opinion.. but almost every other track they've put out is real shit. But i get what you're trying to say

  • I don't see why people thumbed Melodic just because he said there are better acts in the U.S.

  • What happened to mainstream rapper(S)?

Lil wayne's award count sadly overshadows Bone Thugs 'n Harmony by a landslide.

  • Bone Thungs ' n Harmony are mainstream, regardless of whether they're as "popular" as Lil' Wayne or not.

1moomed23 threw Lupe Fiasco out there and I believe he qualifies as mainstream, so that's two. Not always on point, but he has a couple of songs that could pass as "decent", message-wise, anyway.

  • Your comm
