PS3 is clearly the better choice- I get Halo and Gears of War, arguably the two best shooters out there, I don't have to worry about my account being hacked every other month, and the online play is by far superior in terms of servers/best connection among consoles. with a plethora of great multiplayer choices. Hats off to Sony, long live the PlayStation!

If leaving you PS3 on constantly in an enclosed entertainment system, yes the PS3 does over heat. Mine actually used to over heat, beep, then eject the game and shut off. Yes, the bluetooth is a better technology than the xbox headset, therefore since any bluetooth can be used, it makes the PS better. Xbox does not utilize this bluetooth technology therefore xbox is inferior to PS. That is all. And as for the same design, maybe you should look at the xbox and xbox 360 controllers, there is also no difference

@swaggedouttanoh I amsorry for jumping in on this conversation but as a game designer and hardware repair, the specs for the ps3 are better. I own all three major systems and the capabilities of the ps3 are better. I am not saying the xbox is bad, on the contrary, it is an extremely good system and the software is great(i mean it is microsoft) i took great care of my xbox(vacummed, dry towel, kept out of dust) and it got the infamous RROD. Overall, from my point of vii say ps3 but it is close.

Every network is hackable if you have the right tools and knowledge, and enough time. The only way to create an "unhackable network" is to create one that is impossible for a user (that means the one "using" the device connected to the network) to interact with it, which by the way would make the network useless because no device would ever be able to connect to it.
@fatlinexxx The network got hacked for 24 hours. Then sony took down the network to reprogram the whole security system. The reason it was hacked in the first place was because Sony traced all the ip addresses who had visited George Hotz's (PS3 custom firmware creator) website. Anonymous hacked the network as a threat to Sony because they bricked all the ps3s with custom firmware. Anonymous have hacked the CIA I don't see why Sony or Microsoft would be a challenge.
@tovarspin1 Halo is a kick ass singeplayer game. So is Gears, Also Assassin's Creed. I could go on about more and more. Just because PSN has 3-5 exclusive games that are good doesn't mean it's entire system is awesome. Plus only like two of those have multiplayer, whereas XBox exclusives have multiplayer.

If leaving you PS3 on constantly in an enclosed entertainment system, yes the PS3 does over heat. Mine actually used to over heat, beep, then eject the game and shut off. I didn't know what the hell it was doing so I got freaked out. Now it is sitting in an open entertainment system has never been turned off unless my 6 yr old turns it off, which is about twice a month

As for games, there are very few exclusives anymore, so that would mean any game you can buy on xbox, I can buy on PS. And don't forget that xbox live has been hacked too. PS3 has deals where you can get free games also. But the headsets, I don't even use the Sony one, I use a plantronics bluetooth, why, because ANY bluetooth is compatible with PS3.

@swaggedouttanoh Brother in law of mine decided we would test the theory and throw his 360 controller and it broke as soon as it hit the wall. Yes, the bluetooth is a better technology than the xbox headset, therefore since any bluetooth can be used, it makes the PS better. Xbox does not utilize this bluetooth technology therefore xbox is inferior to PS. That is all. And as for the same design, maybe you should look at the xbox and xbox 360 controllers, there is also no difference

@swaggedouttanoh because they are made to be cheap, they break, they get rrod all the time, and they charge too much for them.Compared to what the cost to produce, and long run they do actually cost more than the PS3, to get all the options on the 360 that the xbox has you will be spending 3x as more than the actual cost. @swaggedouttanoh I amsorry for jumping in on this conversation but as a game designer and hardware repair, the specs for the ps3 are better. I own all three major systems and the capabilities of the ps3 are better. I am not saying the xbox is bad, on the contrary, it is an extremely good system and the software is great(i mean it is microsoft) i took great care of my xbox(vacummed, dry towel, kept out of dust) and it got the infamous RROD. Overall, from my point of vii say ps3 but it is close.

The only way to create an "unhackable network" is to create one that is impossible for a user (that means the one "using" the device connected to the network) to interact with it, which by the way would make the network useless because no device would ever be able to connect to it.

@fatlinexxx The network got hacked for 24 hours. Then sony took down the network to reprogram the whole security system. The reason it was hacked in the first place was because Sony traced all the ip addresses who had visited George Hotz's (PS3 custom firmware creator) website. Anonymous hacked the network as a threat to Sony because they bricked all the ps3s with custom firmware. Anonymous have hacked the CIA I don't see why Sony or Microsoft would be a challenge.
