  • I found out that Usher sampled this song on his song "Mars Vs Venus"

  • I have a generational shock.... when young people speaks of electronic music, they mean eletro-dance. when I think about electronic music, I think on this.

It was the age of Gerson kingsley, Walter Carlos, Vangelis and many others that began a road of music exploration that I miss.

  • thank you so much

  • many of you frown on hiphops lack of originality in composition. and frankly im disillusioned with it for half a decade now, so its not my thing, but i have to give hip hop respect for putting me onto all the music it has sampled, i found Tomita because of a song by Talib Kweli. that is all.

  • Thanks so much for sharing this. When I was a 10 year old I began to pay attention to electronic music, there was three musicians that I still listen and remember: Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis and Isao Tomita. Thanks again!

  • Dilla

  • Tomita, Isao [Japan] - Snowflakes Are Dancing (electronic music) - 1974 - "Tomita's first album, electrified the Japanese public and even translated to an American classical audience. Nominated for four Grammys." NOTE: I had a friend that was a Classical music snob, he played piano, that said "This is the only electronic interpretation of Claude DeBussy that I like."

  • I bought this record I think in the late 70's. Sure Wish I could find it. Thanks for the post. Love it.

  • Fascinante instrumentación para esos que pensaban que los instrumentos electrónicos eran frios e inexpresivos, siempre sera uno de mis favoritos en mi colección de discos

  • Analoggy goodness, ahh. This should really be listened to on vinyl.

  • This album was and IS absolute magic. So much of the "polyphony" here created by Tomita was done one painstaking note at a time... before polyphonic synths. Amazingly brilliant!!!! Great post and great photo. ~Kennedi KIng

  • Tomita was ahead of his time.

  • Hudba mého srdce. Takový je Isao Tomita.

  • I had this on a cassette tape in the early 90's. I later bought the CD version a couple years ago.

    I always enjoyed this album.

  • This is my type of music, I use to have this record it's the best

  • still have this album from the 70's and nothing to play it on, great to hear it again. Remember my dad even liked it and he was an out and out classical buff.

  • You CAN buy the album in iTunes! Well worth having!

  • MattAlexan, thanks I might just do that

  • get a turntable for your albums while you're at it! ;) Or, if you want to give your LPs to someone who has a turntable, let me know ;)

  • @MattAlexan Wow.... I've been told for years it's obsolete!! That's nice info....thanks!! ~Kennedi King

  • Gracias por compartir el album

  • Wow. This brings back memories. My first all synth album. Thank you for posting this.
