I was in Habana when they played this with the sextet...Horacio (el negro) Hernandez was about 17 and it was like this too!
I'm working on posting some of that concert.
Any cuban drummer you'll see with Gonzalo is going to be on this level. Gonzalo's music is so, so deep (and in a deeply cuban way) that his 'sidemen' are highly inspired and challenged to go to the ultimate degree.
