  • I wish I was a hobbit.

  • According to Tolkien, hobbits never cared for wars. They would never fight with each other , they were living their beautiful lives , praising the nature at the Shire. Everytime i listen to this piece , it reminds me of the chapter "Concerning Hobbits"from the fellowship of the ring where it is fully described how were hobbits living in the Shire. And then i think to myself: "Why can't we live like that, growing crops , loving each other, just like that? Do we really need all that hatred?"

  • @musicResistances Because humans can't put their differences aside. Man, I woukld love a world like that though.

  • aaaaaaaa it feels good hearing this music

i can feel it on my heart

  • Man, everytime i hear this song i feel as if im at the bag end smoking a pipe with bilbo. :)

  • Everytime I listen to this song I'm transported to The Shire :)

  • Why can't it just last forever!:(

  • A wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to....hahaha!

  • i keep saying to myself "One more time! Ok, one more time! Ok, just one time! Ok, just one more time, I promise!"

  • I would like to have this life like in lotr. Dont know why. Maybe becouse it was best movie EVER.

Story, Trilogy, Songs.. Cant describe in words... Just makes me feel happy. :)

  • Can someone please tell me, how do you DISLIKE this song? That makes completely no sense.

  • So amazing. Makes me so happy yet I feel like crying :'}

  • Never seen any of the LotR movies, but I love this song. My Latin teacher plays this soundtrack anytime we have a test. :D

  • @sangoneko1 Go watch them now.

  • Frodo : You're late.

Gandalf: A wizard is never late Frodo Baggins, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means too.

*Gandalf and Frodo start staring at eachother with a serious face then begin to laugh. Frodo jumps into Gandalfs arms.

Frodo: It's wonderful to see you Gandalf.

    I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!

  • When this plays in the films it sends shivers all around.

  • Evokes so many emotions it's ridiculous. So amazing.

  • gosh after a joint..this song sounds like heaven....:)))))

  • Top Comment......Jealousy.........<.<

  • Ah whi we dont live in that times?:(

  • :,)

  • I really want to use this music in my wedding :) its so beautiful and perfect

  • i wish to be a hobbit :D

  • the minecraft movie brought me here :)

  • such a beautiful heart-warming song =')

  • This just cheers me up so much, i want to learn how to play to recorder now! lol

    or a violin xD

  • I'm in love with this. It evokes so many emotions. Happiness because it's celebrating a time of joy and a landmark in Bilbo's life yet sadness because I know what's yet to come and that all the happiness is going to be gone soon.

  • How is it possible for three movies to be fucking perfect right down to the soundtrack? Breathtaking. Howard Shore <3

  • Am I the only one listening to this everu single time I'm in a city in any game, just buying and selling supplies and talking to people about quests and such?

Especially when I enter Whiterun... :'D

It fits so perfectly well too, I found a guide to make a char look like Aragorn in Skyrim, I found a mod on the Nexus for an armor that looks like the traveller-like armor he's using in the Fellowship of the Ring, AND I downloaded the LOTR Weapon Pack with Anduril from Steam Workshop!

    So awesome :D

  • i love it when frodo and sam are in mordor and frodo totally gives up and then this music plays as the shot switches to sam, and you know everythings going to be ok :)

  • How the hell can anyone on this earth dislike this wonderful piece of art??

Probably some 8 year old Harry Potter fans...

  • @Jeff0Hardy1Fan ...I'm confused. Why would 8 year old Harry Potter fans dislike this? And why are you implying that being an 8 year old Harry Potter fan is a bad thing?

  • @GGdahut They don't know what they're talking about. Isn't it obvious my friend? xD

  • @TragedySoldier Well, I loved these movies when I was eight - even if I covered my eyes in some of the scarier scenes - while loving Harry Potter at the same time. I guess I'm probably an exception though, I do have a giant LOTR nerd for a dad :D

  • @GGdahut It's like PS3 people and XBOX360 people.. An internet war.. i didn't intent to saying that being an 8 year old Harry Potter fan was a bad thing.. But you know what i mean, right?

  • this is soooo beautiful :3

  • Bilbo Baggins!!!!

  • It's beautiful! ^^

  • I bet some people clicked on the dislike button because there's a thing they absolutely hate about this song: It's too short.

  • to me the lord of the rings films are like saving private ryan. When you watch that movie today, you still cant believe that it was made in 1995. it will be the same for LOTR, because so much time effort and money was put into making these films the highest quality possible.

  • This movie is now "old" and should be complete crap... but the lord of the rings movies are the best movies i have ever seen and i dont thing ANYTHING will beat them in the closest 10-20 years! :D

  • @MrJimpafimpa why should it be crap?

  • :)

  • I think people should really stop comparing HP and LOTR. They are almost NOTHING alike and people are allowed to have different interests. Just because a person likes HP doesn't mean your better than them because you like LOTR. Heck, some people even like both! So people really need to stop. It's annoying.

  • Harry Potter fan: "OMG OMG OMG HARRY POTTER IS COMING OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!" LOTR fan: "Ummmmm ok?" Harry Potter fan: "OMG RON IS SOOOOO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!" LOTR fan: "Um hmm, thats thats nice..." Harry Potter fan: "OMG HARRY POTTER IS SO MUCH BETTER THEN LOTR" LOTR fan: *sighs* "Ummm actu..." Harry Potter fan: "OMGOMGOMGOMG HARRY POTTER :D :D :D :D :D" LOTR fan: "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Harry Potter fan: *Dies* Moral of the story: GODAMMIT SHUT THE HELL UP ABOUT HARRY POTTER
  • @guything8 I Love Harry potter and LOTR....WHy cant people just admit both are AMAZING well written-Worlds?

  • @esquiloassasino IKR!!!!!! Both are amazing dream worlds!!!!

  • @guything8 I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, but I love Lord of The Rings so much. Harry Potter is closer to my heart, but I do agree some of the fans are like that. Don't be harsh, there are some more intelligent HP fans who do appreciate LOTR and enjoy it a lot. Its just that the fans you describe are louder :)

  • @Bookcrazy17 I love them both. I love imagination and things that bring magic to my heart.

  • A very beautiful piece of music, and a very beautiful film

  • best movie EVER !!!!!!!!

  • This song makes me feel warm inside :D

  • @guything8 same here, it feels sooo much "coming home"

  • Do u remember the taste of strawberries Mr. Frodo?

  • I can't believe this video has only been viewed 2 million times while stupid music videos by Justin Bieber have been viewed more than a billion times...COME ON PEOPLE!!!!!

  • Fireworks Gandalf! :)

  • this song is like tom bombadil that is protecting you <3

  • Hobbits <3

  • Came here because of a Minecraft Machinima because they played this soundtrack

  • Just went to the symphony last night. It was an orgasm to my ears XD

  • This song is so relaxing.... I WANT AN ELVISH BROOCH AND SIT IN FRONT OF MY COMPUTER AND LISTEN TO THIS ALL DAY

  • I live in the farmlands of Norway. During the summer my hometown looks alot like the shire. And i have a house on the top of a hill in the middle of the village. I listen to this track every summer while sitting in my back yard looking over the village.

  • @yaunux So jealous of you! :(

  • @yaunux change life with me

  • @yaunux Now i know where I will live in the future :D

  • @yaunux your on youtube! film it :)

  • @yaunux you are very lucky! it must be beautiful there

  • @yaunux Epic.

  • maybe it is the shire ;)

  • @yaunux lucky....

  • @yaunux i wish i could do the same =). Hope your days bring fortune.

  • @yaunux hayya norga :D i think thats how you say it.

  • @yaunux Heldi du e da :)

  • @yaunux Greatest YouTube comment ever.

  • @yaunux Going to Trondheim this summer, can't wait to go back!

  • @yaunux You should film the view of the village, and put this music as the soundtrack :)

  • @yaunux what's the name of your village?

  • HAPPY TEARS

  • This song always makes me happy! :)

  • sebivisti, I agree, I would rather read lord of the rings, than any other book. Cant say how good was this trilogy, Il say it like this: Unique, masterpiece and better than all other stuff in the earth.

But this is my medication for my living, I havent been sick for ages. :) Fans, you must watch hobbit coming this year.

  • Those damn dusts in my eyes again...

  • the 51 dislikes are just jealous orcs

  • I want to see the hobbit so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait, I live this song so much, damn, can never go wrong when listening to this masterpiece!!!!!!!

  • omj i have to listen to this wen im doing school work

  • This song and all LOTR songs make me almost cry and want soo bad to live in that time :X

  • Why can't I live in Middle-Earth? *Cries*

  • @Mahseiah No. because I am too. 3

  • I wish I lived in a hobbit hole.

  • is it bad that I'm in love with Frodo Baggins?

  • @Mahseiah

Nope, I would be aswell except for the fact that he reminds me of myself, and that would be very vain and odd if I were in love with myself....

  • @Mahseiah So is Sam ;)

  • By Far the best Soundtrack in any movie. Each song explains itself in a certain way. Howard Shore should go down in history, along with Hans Zimmer.

  • Thumbs up if you listend to this like 7 times.

  • @RsCupid not 7, infinite

  • i know its two different things, but this song reminds me of walking through Ordon Village in Twilight princess

  • Listening to this makes you wonder why there aren't more good people in the world... Makes you wish you could live in a place without war, without worrying about what comes next, a place where you can enjoy life.... The Shire

  • does anyone know the name of the soundtrack that is this song but with words?

  • they should make another LOTR movie about the scouring of the shire, one of the most essential chapters of the whole book

  • im from the future! i am in 2012!

  • i will never stop listening to this

  • hard to believe that they started filming this 13 years ago

  • @MJRiley878 feels like yesterday

  • @MJRiley878 I was 5 when they started filming!

  • <3

  • this is just amazing cant even described it words how do i feel when i listen this! :'))

  • I think if of my dreams in life is to walk through the Netherlands with this song playing around me. So beautiful.

  • hobbits really are remarkable creatures :)

  • love

  • THEIR TAKING THE HOBBITS TO ISENGARD!!

    XD

  • how does he flicker the flute like that?

  • The moment when you realise that after listening to this, you would like nothing more then to watch lord of the rings, and I shall do so ... catch you all in 12 or so hours!

  • Epic movie with an epic score! I just watched “Good for Nothing” a brilliant modern western that has a wonderful score by John Psathas and was coincidentally filmed in New Zealand. The film will definitely be recognized for its original sound and plot. youtube . com/watch?v=gRYZNCVeZDY

  • I love this music, I become a Hobbit just by sitting in front of my computer screen with this playing. Close your eyes and you can hear the birds singing in the trees, the rivers and streams running through a field and children playing. you can feel the long grass gently touch your legs. you can see your hole in Hobbiton, and you can see Frodo riding in a cart with Gandalf The Grey.

I love this song! Thank you so much!

  • @LoverofHistory *The Shire, I think you mean

  • @RoganH10ATF

I mean both. The Shire and Hobbiton inside of the Shire where Bag End is located. :)

  • @LoverofHistory Beatifull words, brother.

  • @gamef4n

Thank you, I thought your words below were great too. :)

  • @LoverofHistory Bro, your comment is now in 9Gag. Did you know that? :P

  • @Yoshpanda

    Ha ha yeah :p

  • <3

  • At the start of this music I always get tears in my eyes. Its amazing what this music does to you. Thumb up!

  • Where did they say they were taking the hobbits to? ;D

  • @MisticWays I think... it was Isengard :D:D

THEY'RE TAKING THE HOBBITS TO ISENGARD !

the hobbits, the hobbits , the hobbits !

  • This book is....amazing, I just read it in my English class for the 100th time, I remember as a little kid my dad would read a little bit every night before I went to sleep with me, his anniversary edition book is so awesome :P great book

    ..again

  • go to Scotland set a journey there its a wilder adventure so you can be like those hobbits im back on the road to Scotland in July

  • I wish there would have been an unlimited replay button. I hate that i have to keep returning to YouTube just for pressing the replay button. btw LOTR is my favourite triology i have read the books 3 times each and have watched the movies 11 time each... Just can't get enough of the most fanstastic story ever known to man kind :)

  • @Gnilson5 Type 'repeat' in the url before ".com". Enjoy :)

  • Lord of the rings truly changed my ways of looking at things. How strong u are doesn't depend on how u look, a people will unite in times of trouble. And in the end the fight will be worth all the trouble and all the pain.

  • I love this soundtrack 3

  • One does not simply stop in the middle of this song

  • I dont understand why Lord of the Rings is never read in school.

There is not a book in the world that changed me more!

    <3

  • @sebivisti Because reading it in school would take the enjoyment out of it, thats what i think personally.

  • @sebivisti My School did, but the class was litteraly only Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, and we got to create stuff from the series and use it as projects :D! Best class of my life and I will miss it like how I will miss the first time Reading the Hobbit, and all the Lotr books... Such a fun adventure from both ends... and now we look forward to the Hobbit in theaters... Sorry for long response but I have so much to type out and who cares... It's about lord of the rings... Smile

  • @sebivisti Im in 8th grade and I chose The Hobbit to read as a school work. Best book so far, I have the Lord of the Rings collection at home, but I wanted to read Silmarillion first (but don't have money atm and it's only for sale in english, and my dad told me I could only read in english when I have better marks in portuguese - can't wait!)

  • @sebivisti Despite it being the best book I've ever read, it's too long to be practical to read in a class in the space of a school term.

  • @DevourTheGods true

  • @DevourTheGods all the people says: oooh books are better, books are better, yeah, yeah.Yeah they are AMAZING but a book can´t give a master piece like this song or images like in this movie. But BOTH ARE AMAZING ANYWAY!

  • @sebivisti It´s not reading in school because it´s too good for schools

  • @sebivisti Oh my gosh... "Lord of The Rings" (both the movies and the books) got me through the worst time of my life. Whenever I start to feel like I did back then, I go back to Hobbiton in my mind. And I feel happy again.

  • @sebivisti Don't you know it has to be the most bland book in existence to be a high school read?

  • @sebivisti I know right?

    Also LOTR > Twilight.

    Every.Fucking.Time.

  • @sebivisti Jokes on you! I read the Hobbit when I was 11. I started reading LOTR around the age of 14

  • @sebivisti to high of a reading level for most highschool students. At least in big schools where 1/2 the people are retarded

  • @sebivisti

Its because LOTR is not that a mature text, dont get me wrong I love it literally more than anyone in the world belive me; I have ever read his other texts set in Middle Earth; "Children of Hurin", "Unfinished Tales" ect ect.. (You cant truly be a LOTR fan without reading these btw), texts such as "To Kill a Mocking Bird" or "Bladerunner" are far me literally advanced and complex and are more of a challange than study LOTR

  • @TheGus619 I completely disagree, I may not have read the last one but I am an avid reader, in 7th grade soon to go into 8th and I haven't read any book more complex then this (series) And I am a true LOTR fan, it doesn't matter what you have, it matters about the heart and willingness to love this series as much as me. When I get the money, I'm getting all of Tolkien's books in hardcover. :) Just because you have an opinion, doesn't mean others won't be hurt by what you say. Thanks.

  • @sebivisti You know what I got to read in school my senior year? Ender's Game. I asked my teacher if we could read LOTR instead. Her response? "Well, we're going to read EG first, so LOTR seems THAT MUCH MORE AWESOME by comparison when we read it." "8D"

  • @sebivisti - Our High School offers a Tolkien's class to Juniors and Seniors and it's always a full class each and every year. Faith in mankind: Restored.

  • @sebivisti I read it in my 9th grade English class cause my teacher was a huge nerd. Everyone thought the book was lame just because it was an assigned book. Not me!! Oh and did I mention my teacher was an extremely hot roller derby girl too? lol mmm nom nom nom

  • @sebivisti I know, this is by far some of the best literature out there.

  • @sebivisti its too long for the course and the language is to difficult for most younger people 12/13 to understand .but it would be great !

  • @StephenDoyle50 Actually I read it at that age and I understood it perfectly well. But it should definitely be read college maybe

  • @fallenangel8889 ok but it is way to long for the school year considering all the other things you have to get through as well ! maybe college yeah

  • chooooooooon

  • swietne

  • THIS HAD BETTER BE IN THE HOBBIT
