  • @TheDiddlysquat I remember that too. My mum would only buy the 12-biscuit pack. After she bought two packets, neither of which had a card in, my dad wrote to Weetabix to complain. They sent a letter of apology and a load of cards. Ah, carefree happy days.

  • @otk999

Same thing for me, mum wrote the letter (I think she was sick of eating weetabix) they sent the entire set.

  • oh god its just got better i remember these too, hours days weeks pretendin to be dr who in a cardboard tardis, priceless, who needs the xbox when u have this an a hell of a wild imagination.

  • WOW!

  • Weetabix use to give away awesome stuff, I had these some Superman ones and fighter planes of WWII. Why don't they do this stuff any more!

  • That kid's fucked.

  • @TakeBackTheWorld TWAT!!!

  • OMG- I remember this ad! I made my parents buy loads of weetabix so I could collect the stand up figures- but they only bought the small packs which didn't have the full size board games on the back...or as many cardboard figures!

  • "19070's advert"? This is the only advert I've heard of that comes from over 17000 years in the future.

    ~Tim Prince.

  • this advert was made in the future? XD

    "19070"

  • @stevean2 the doctor is a timelord, of course it's from the future!

  • Poor little kid...he got exterminated before he could eat his weetabix... :(

  • @doctorwhoobawooba

  • Omg i wish they still made those!!! That commercialsnolder than me but im still a huge dr who fan!!!

  • looks like the darleks are pissed off because they cant eat their weetabix

  • @theseus27

  • @missblanky5 I saw them at a Doctor who convention in cardiff.

  • This takes me back...or forward lol still have the stand up figures too

  • Of course I mean the Weetabix stuff, not Dr Who...Tom Baker was amazing!!!

  • God when we were young we were content with pure shite, could you imagine kids today getting excited over that!!!

  • @tazawaza I would piss myself with excitement even though I'm a kid!

  • i had a zygon woot

  • Good grief, I remember this! I have memories of eating weetabix with hot milk in the autumn mornings with all sorts of Dr Who imagery from the packets! I'm not mad after all. Thank you!

  • Oh I remeber that promo, happy days.

  • Hey,I have just seen this video for the first time.I have all the Weetabix Dr Who games, and collected all the stand up figures as well.I wonder how much they could be worth today,as they are still in good condition.

  • lol

  • That sounds nothing like a dalek and it looks different since when do daleks hav pink plungers

    cheers, sam

  • This Dalek was actually the Planet Supreme Dalek from the Planet of the Daleks episode. It was repainted red for this advert. That is how this Dalek sounded and looked (apart from color scheme) when it was aired in the series.

  • I know that and it is NOT how it sounded, the voice on this was terrible, I have not seen footage of this dalek but I highly doubt that this is what it sounded like.

  • How can you say that this is not how this dalek sounded, if you have not seen footage of it prior to this Add?

    I have...

  • Well I DID just state that I haven't seen footage of it, also if you find some on youtube that would really help if you could let me know or send it to me etc because some footage of it would help.

  • I actually had a search for footage of this dalek for you, but the only stuff I could find were short fan flicks with CGI or toys to make up the scene, nothing from the actual episode it was in :(

  • Oh, pity, I'll take your word for it then. BTW you sound like a whovian, I'll add you as a friend. :)

  • :D Big Doctor Who fan. Ever since I was tiny :D

  • Oh good. :)

  • Am far too young to have any first-hand memories of this. Top advert, though!

"Spiders invading human minds. Use your crystals from Metebelis 3." (That wasn't difficult!)

  • Nice, Im a massive Dr Who fan and never heard of this (I am 26 tho

  • I'm 26 too and this came out 6 years before our time.

  • Do Daleks have a special telescopic spoon device with which to eat Weetabix?

  • if only T_T ( sigh )

  • Love it!

  • Fabulous! I've still got all my WHO Weetabix cards and game backs from 1977. This certainly brings back memories. I'd love to see the advert again for the Denys Fisher action figures, that'd make my day. Thanks for posting this!
