  • I dunno what could possibly be wrong with me but I really find these kinds of old, classic romantic comedies a whole lot more charming than the contemporary ones.

  • @sabvilla Yea that is true..."more charming", maybe because it was a different era? This movie came out in 1939, which BTW, is often cited as "Hollywood's Greatest Year". You have Gone With the Wind, The Wizard of Oz, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, etc & more. I'd hate to be an Oscar judge in a year like that/with so mnay great movies.

  • I do not get the appeal of Melvyn Douglas. If I ran Hollywood in those days all leading men would be as handsome as Robert Taylor & Clark Gable.

  • 2 people vant to be alone

  • "Garbo LAUGHS!!" LOL

  • amazing woman :)

  • Garbo was great in comedic roles.

  • she has such a delightful laugh

  • @MorinoMashio - Say that again?

  • Oh, cool! Some of the scenes are different cuts than the ones used in the film (there are slight variations, which if you have seen "Ninotchka" 100 times are so, you'll totally see!) Thanks for posting! :)

  • I agree with Lilith "You're very talkative" is wonderful! hahahaha

And her face... she's all serious all the that. That is until Léon is sprawled on the floor, than she's laughing out loud! hahaha

The trailer was very true to the movie. I like it. Didn't try to make it something it wasn't.

The only tears I had watching this movie was tears of laughter!

  • I love the "You're very talkative" of Garbo. This is one of my favourite films.

  • I love Greta Garbo!

    Thank you so much.
