Defenders are constantly told to take the oppositions QB out the game. If these dirty hits aren't flagged, there will be more of them and there won't be many QBs left !

I don.t believe you, because a person with real life experience would acknowledge that the head happens to be located right between the shoulder pads, and your target is moving at full speed, and doing his job by being as deceptive as possible about where he will be in space when you two make contact. One who played at the D1 level would not require this explanation.

Playing as a sport, all players are equal, but as a business, the most valuable assets are protected, whether fair or unfair to the sport.

I play for K-State and I know what its like getting hit helmet to helmet on the practice field. The suspension was right because how would you feel if you got hit in the head and not be able to move? I've been down that road in high school.

I don't think thats a cheap shot. I mean sure, its a QUARTERBACK but they're still football players. Helmet to helmet contact happen all the time and its going to happen no matter the rules. I don't like helmet to helmet contact much but if that happen to a lineman or linebacker, it won't be noticed.

But you have to realize. Quarterbacks and kickers don't work out like all the other players. They're not as strong, and are more susceptible to injury than other players. that's why they're protected more.

good point on boldin, but that was when the play was too boldin and the contact was incidental. ryan was away from the play and showed no indication of going after the ball carrier when he got popped.

lol, so basically, ur saying that a team has stolen the wildcat? did someone steal the west coast offense? or the wishbone formation? formations are built to be used, and if used correctly, than why are you arguing the point? the reason arkansas used it so well was cuz it was in college. the nfl is much faster and the fact that the dolphins get 4-6 yards most of the time means it's succesful.
