needless to say God really frowns on this and getting into the occult especially unsaved is a way to get demon possessed.and a person that is saved has no business doing this, after all how can the light have fellowship with the darkness?
Nabukuduriuzhur, thanks for answering karaaghijlar. But, I think you missed what I had said. God no longer spoke to Saul either directly to him or through a prophet, so Saul went to a medium to intercede? Why would Saul believe a medium could help unless Saul had an inclination in that direction. Was Saul possessing a demon?
Jesus Christ has returned. I AM. I have started to open the 7TH SEAL. (OPERATION LIGHTING.) You are encouraged to review them. I have also published a Judeo/Christian version of the Qu'ran. (OPERATION FIRESTORM.) -

Hal may have possibly made a mistake. This is a stretch to say that Samuel was a demon conjured up through Necromancy. This is not what it says in the bible. Hal chose this lesson to pimp his book. If the bible says that Samuel arose, then that is the absolute truth. God used the situation to tell King Saul what was to come. Saul took his own life by falling onto his sword.
@vikingsquid Hal did not make a mistake. He said that SAMUEL actually appeared to saul, where usually when someone wants to bring someone back from the dead, like in a seance or whatever, it would actually be a demon, which is one of the fallen angels who followed satan, pretending to be the person who has departed from this world. That is what this witch was expecting to happen, as usual, but God made it so SAMUEL would actually appear to Saul...... Listen to the video again...........
@pepsiprincess48033 Sorry princess, I watched the video again and at 5:01 Hal says the Lord brought Saul back from the dead. That was a mistake. As far as your reply about fallen angels; from what scripture do you discern this? In the book of Jude at verse 6, it clearly states " And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation' he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day". The demons can not possibly be those fallen.
"Sounds like a witch hunt coming from you" try 'LISTEN - really LISTEN!' @ 5:12+ you will hear him correct himself, and mention the name 'Samuel'. Who do you say the 'demons' are? the departed: lawyers, politicians, & bankers? LOL
WoW! I didn't realize that authoring a book to spread the Word of GOD, and to further GOD's Kingdom was 'pimping'? Why are you watching these videos? surely not to spread GOD's Word? Hal Lindsey has been preaching & teaching & Yes! writing books to; teach, instruct, and inform. "In your life you've done what?"
@acbatcat Just forget about it. Just because Hal has been teaching, does not make him perfect. Nor does it mean that he is teaching correctly. Necromancy from first Samuel is in FACT, a stretch. The bible is not a fallacy to make summations of innuendo. Hal made a mistake. His teaching here is questionable.
@Daphdong1 tell me in what verse does the bible say she is a witch? In the King James it says woman of familiar spirits. In the Hebrew manuscript it says Kaw-sam which translates to DIVINE (word 7080, Strong's). I stand by what I have said.
@vikingsquid The dictionary? My question is still unanswered. What verse is the word WITCH used? I am not defending the DARK ARTS, I am defending the TRUTH.
God really frowns on false teaching. Judgment begins at the altar, as it is written.
@acbatcat What does it matter what I have done in my lifetime? I am a biblical apologist. I search out false doctrine and expose it as UNTRUE. Anytime somebody suggests in a video that you buy their book, that is PIMPING
@vikingsquid You have a real job ahead of you. Are you familiar with the works of Bart Ehrman? I took a shortcut many years ago and discounted the whole book as being the work of Constantine.
Are you saying that Saul was the demon...If there's no profit for a demon to cast out a demon, then how could Saul use a medium/demon to get results? Would Matthew 8:28-33 parallel 1Samuel 28:8-21?
@karaaghijlar@karaaghijlar ?? Saul was the demon?? Hal misspoke because the text says Samuel was brought up. The Witch of Endor story does not involve the casting out of demons, but rather the speech with. We're not sure exactly what happened, either. Was it a demon that portrayed samuel? Was it actually Samuel? Was an angel sent to judge saul and give him one last chance to repent? We don't know what happened and the Bible doesn't give us that detail.
Hal looks great for his age here (81).

1.witch from the dictionary

2.

3.
a person who uses a divining rod; dowser.
Medium
a person through whom the spirits of the dead are alleged to be able to contact the living.
needless to say these are black arts and they have a lot more in common than you think

As faithfill, everything is detailed in the bible. Cross-reference each story and it's possible to get the correct answer...always!

@vikingsquid No actually Hal is correct. The bible states that she was a witch. It describes accurately what happened.
Now you can chose what to believe. The bible was wrong in this instance? Or is your interpretation wrong?
Personally I would take the bible 's account. The bible has been proven through prophecy over and over again.

Yeah, think Hal misspoke when he said Saul had died.
Seems like Saul may have been looking for some encouraging words from the witch
and God spoke!!! Guess his plan backfired.
