How to setup the Turtle Beach DX11

I've had these for over 3 months now, but i'm still not sure how the 7.1 works, is it when i press the "dolby bypass" button, or when i just leave it on the blue light underneath the bypass button?

@zReFLeX when you press the bypass button, it sets it on stereo. if u turn it on and dont touch it itll be on 7.1

@shire2108 This set will not work for the PS3, you have to buy a turtle beach headset that works with the PS3, this one is only designed for xbox

Hey, I think i might of missed it in the video, or i couldnt tell, but what setting do you use on your turtle beaches? I have 2 options: Dolby Bypass with Digital In, or do I use DD with Digital in? I tried testing out the diffrence between the two but i can't tell which version is "suround sound"

you actually just need to take the plastic off of the original cable then both the HDMI and the big original cable will fit. message me if this works

Luckily I have my common knowledge because this was a very bad tutorial. Oh and if anybody has the old xbox like me and you have a HD TV with a optical out then you can just plug that in there.

I have the x11's, buying the DSS for them, right now I use HDMI plus the rca hookups for audio with the dss I can eliminate the rca cable things and use the optical out on my tv? Really? I don't need the RCA block on plugged in on my xbox? yes I have an old elite xbox360.

also, is there a big difference frm the stereo to the surround?

The dx11 is designed for xbox 360 and works with PC...

U might wanna try other models that's designed for PS3 :)

@ThatSpunkyNinja Short=Short Circuit which means the cable might be bad, try it with a new controller see how it works.

@ThatSpunkyNinja First check your Talk Back cable to see if its connected, Is there a short in the cable? It could possibly be your controller as well.

Only two of the led lights are tuned on for me. I can't say that the headphones are picking up footsteps. Is there anything I'm doing wrong?

@thegem29 there should only be 2 leds on, and it depends what game your playing, COD: Black Ops isnt too good for listening to footsteps.

@FreakishXPhaze depending on which xbox you have, with the new black xbox 360 this is very simple to setup, there is a fiber optic cable that connects to the black box to the xbox 360. it is usb powered.It will not interfear with the AV cables (HDMI)
