  • Daaaaaaaaaymmmn girl got some moves! Super jealous! It's beautiful!!

  • I bet she's awesome in bed

  • that's the first video of tribal fusion i saw three years ago,and it was something like love at first sight <3 :')

  • Who cares about all that nonsense? Rachel Brice is probably the best bellydancer who ever lived, and will ever live. Every other belly dancer I see is a joke in comparison. A word on dancing for men though, exhibiting female empowerment thru sexuality to bring pleasure to others is natural and awesome. We women are forces of nature, as childbearing will teach you, and as long as we reciprocate that pleasure from dance, whether for men or women, that's all that matters.

  • Even when she Oakes out her belly it's still tiny lol sheesh I need a body like that lol

  • FUUUUSIOOOOON.... HA!

  • I like how

  • She is SO AMAZING! Every time I get on her video in the web - just can't stop watching, even if I've seen it before... Love her!

  • we want the all video!!! hey @trbaldreams! i think this is the time to share the rest with us.

  • I had no idea that the traditional dress was called beledi... and that they didn't dance for the sultan LOL Ha ha, who knew

  • @RockyMountainHighCO Well...the WOMEN didn't... :)

  • I just wanted to add the comment that Belly Dancing was also done to aid in child birth. Girls who are trained in Belly Dancing tend to have an easier time because belly dancing tones the muscles required in labor. In fact, in my family belly dancing has always been taught by the older ladies to the young girls for this reason. Yes it is beautiful, yes guys enjoy watching it, but it most likely was not done for male viewing pleasure when it was first practiced. Congrats to guys who do it too

  • You're right thinking that it wasn't done for male viewing pleasure. It really wasn't. Women only danced for and with women as a social event and, as you said, to aid in child birth. Women dancing in front of men has always been looked down on very strongly, in all cultures, if you think about it. Which is why they had men bellydance for festivals and in venues with largely male audiences. In Turkey, these men were called köçekler. I do too much reading on this.

  • Anyone know the name of that song? I love it.

  • Estoy haciendo lo curso Serpentine e estoy amando mucho.

  • wow! thats amazing! makes me wan to do belly dance again.

  • perfect

  • woow :)

  • Rachel is mix of type of dance, not only oriental, but she's going someting very oriental : she feels the music and traduce it.

  • You guys arguing down there are idiots for internet fighting! (LuanLegacy told me to say this lol)

  • The woman is amazingly sic....

  • I absolutely love rachel brice, best belly dancer ever

  • I am SO happy to see here some well~educated comments & answers! I get so tired of having to explain all of the above to everyone ~ it's exhausting!!! Thank You!

  • since you seem to have trouble let me explain AGAIN: you said it was stripping, but it was created as a SOCIALIZING EVENT FOR WOMEN it was how they stayed in touch and made friends, stop sidestepping the issue with abstract tangents. As for difficulty level, clearly you've never tried to belly dance for any amount of time. Everything requires practice, so are you saying that nothing matters or should be appreciated?

Sorry, but i think you're being extraordinarily arrogant and ignorant.

  • @XxBlackWolfHeartxX hahahahaha! Oh jesus mercy, you are one funny fucker. So what it is a socializing event that doesn't make it okay. If three people socialized with each other by snorting cocaine does that make it okay. I'm sure you would be familiar with that since can't come up with a logical retort. You wanna talk practice punk, try practicing coming up with a better response to peoples comment. I think you are extraordinarily retarded.

    Your welcome.

  • @chroniclesofhensley oh for the love of god, you're missing the point on purpose, and im really done dealing with you. have fun being miserably angry and judgmental.

  • @XxBlackWolfHeartxX hahahahahahahahaha!!! Take that asshole. I won this!!

    Your welcome.

  • @chroniclesofhensley you are an imbecilic idiot, and yes im aware that's redundant, but you deserve it. And now i really must move on to the rest of my life. ciao

  • Comment removed

  • @chroniclesofhensley while it's fine to have your own opinion, before you start spouting crap in public 1) do some fucking research, belly dancing was created by women for women and not for male attention. 2) i dare you to try and pull off those moves, you have no idea the muscle control required. 3) to me football is just chasing a fake pigskin, but that doesn't mean it doesn't take a lot of dedication and practice. i can respect that part. belly dancing is the same, so kindly shut up.

  • @chroniclesofhensley sadly, you must be one of these "men" who believes that this dance is done for your benefit. Umm honey, go back to fixing something, spitting or dergating women as you mysoginists like to do. ANY dance is going to take practice and skill and to compare dance to snorting cocaine is EXTREMELY declasse. I do believe you can't be any older than 23-25 because only young men are ignorant enough to think they know everything. Stay in school, young man.

  • @sexxysixxy knock 'em out girl!

  • @sexxysixxy oh there are plenty of gross old men out there...

  • @sexxysixxy Woot! :) Loving me some sexxysixxy right now!! :)

  • @chroniclesofhensley obviously you're very closed minded, and i bet you have no life to think of something else rather than attacking dance forms,

  • meh...I prefer cabaret style over the tribal fusion. She's still good tho.

  • Ok they are on grecian and roman bowls and on mount Vesuvious villages below them all on the older paintings. On the walls especally the bath houses. The decorations are "normal" interesting that the more things change the more they remain the same.

  • this is not a belly dance. this a bull shit

  • @golbahar123 YOU are a bull shit! Poop on you!

  • These moves are so beautiful you can see them painted on the walls of old villages before the Roman Empire.

  • @ClairaGEagleHawk

Specifically where, please? I am an "armchair" Egyptologist. As a Roman, I am interested!!!

  • tayyara

  • such a fan

makes me sad to see "NBC Playboy club" as the sponsored video linked to this? surely those are randomly assigned???

  • perfect

  • ESPETACULAR SOU SUA FÃ

  • Love her jewelry

  • hot momma

  • This video is too short! T.T

  • this is amazing. she is honestly my mentor. I have a video odd my very first performance on here. it was choreographed as a dirty, but my partner quit on me last minute, so some of the moves (like the kicks, and chorus) look a little one-sided and empty. sorry for that, but any and all comments/feedback/critique/suggestions are very appreciated! I dance with a very tribal style, this is just a pip dance for my partner. more, and better to come. just search Erica Mars. im the first vid.

  • if someone knows the name of the song please tell me, its been stuck in my head since I first heard it. Usually I know arabic, balkan belly dance music but this song is incredible unlike anything i heard.

  • @tainor89 The Song is "Tayyara" by "Ensemble Mizmar Baladi"

  • She sure went to a lot of trouble getting herself dolled up for this. Too bad they only allowed us a minute of it. Bastards.

    Fantastic stuff.

  • Anyone know the song, please? :)

  • @TheInnerSanctuary Song: Tayyara by Musicians of Nile

  • @angeletuty - THANK you! They have some awesome songs on Amazon MP3.

  • so enchanting and awesommeee yeah..

  • Wow, she's amazing. Her movements are like water!

  • wow so exotic

  • not that it matters anymore, but this video was taken by gina grandi

  • Absolutely friggin' totally sick! Just gorgeous...

  • If smoke could dance it would look like this. This dancer is extremely gifted.

  • the sad part of this is that this must be the greatest belly dancing performance ever and we only get 1 min of it

  • harıka raks edıyor muzikse bı başka süperrrrr:)

  • This chick is amazing, he body is just absolutely FLEXIBLE. She has to be half-snake or something. LOL

  • 88 people are retarded who don't like this!!!!

  • justice party will rescue Britain.

  • With due respect to other forms of dance, I think bellydance is the most expressive as far as female body is concerned.

The ancient people of the World had an idea or two about beauty and charm that I think we ought to go back to.

One can see in this dance the subtle imitation of a snake. This is particulary important because the sanke is the symbol of charm and ..."sneakiness." Remember Adam, Eve, Apple and Sanke?

    Sensuality is bellydance.

  • her arm movements are the best i have ever seen!

  • Why is Dita Von Teese more popular than Rachel Brice? She doesn't have a third of Rachel's talent.

  • @RinnyRin69

mh, i think you can´t compare dita and rachel. dita does show burlesque and rachel is a tribal fusion bellydancer, thats different.

  • @carocaneat50eggs

Maybe. But as a big Dita fan, I'm starting to believe Rachel is better. Even if the dances are different, Rachel's appears to take more skill. It's more complex. Dita just takes her clothes off, maybe walks on pointe for a little while and plays in a martini glass by splashing water around. After watching Rachel, Dita is underwhelming.

  • @MissArielMarie

    thats right :D

but i think burlesque is a great artform, too.

(i don´t know much about it, i´m only a tribal fusion bellydancer ;D)

  • how is this possible? in the old country wouldn't she have been required to cover up and have only her eyes and ankles shown?

  • @izlude2 no my good sir. allow me to explain. belly dance back in time was performed for 2 reasons. 1 - entertainment for the sultan and 2 - ...fertility. Today it's a form of art ;)

As Eddie Cantor put it in his movie Roman Scandals, "Keep Young And Beautiful If You Want To Be Loved." AAAh I love that song!!!

  • @lolanimations Actually, no. "Entertaining the sultan" is a myth created by Western writers.

In an affluent household, the wives were not dancers and dancers were employed mostly for weddings and banquets, not personal entertainment. Remember, men danced (and still do) too. It wasn't a bunch of women dancing for the sultan. ^__^

It would be silly to us, if people in the future though ballet dancing was a bunch of young women dancing for the pleasure of the president. Funny huh? ^__^

  • @rosereddoll You are kind of wrong on one thing: Entertaining the sultan is not entirely a myth. the sultan was a turkish/ottoman concept, and the ottoman empire was, sexually, a very free place. Not to say that debauchery ran rampant, but cabarets were never disallowed and did actually exist. The sultans did often attend such cabarets and the best performers would actually be invited to perform for the court, but only on special occassions.

  • @buddycal1 Yes, I agree, sultans were entertained, but I was replying to someone who mistakenly thought that belly dance was for the sole purpose of entertaining the sultan. ^__^ The president may see a ballet performance, but female ballet dancers don't exist to titillate the president. Nor does the president, nightly, have the prettiest ballerina dance privately for his pleasure. O__o I think we are on the same page. Professional royal performances were for special occasions. : )

  • @rosereddoll Hooray for being on the same page! :D Btw, I just thought I'd throw this out there, during those times, women did not perform in the open (meaning outdoors, like at festivals and such), only men. And because of the culture, most often if the sultan or any of the nobles wanted a "private performance" or to "take someone home", it was one of the male dancers, not the women. Fun facts! :D Idk if you knew that or not, yet, but if you didn't, now you do! ^_^ And so does everyone else.O_o

  • @buddycal1 Yep! Men and women were allowed to dance in public, then as the culture changed, only men were allowed. We're still on the same page! ^__^ That's funny! I bet Orientalist writers weren't imagining a graceful MALE dancer entertaining the sultan! Ha! I bet that would ruin their belly dancer fantasy. ^__^ I tell some dancers who feel this dance is only for women, that it's not and we have men to thank for keeping it alive when women weren't dancing in public. : )

  • @rosereddoll Well, I'm glad to be one of those men in modern times, trying to keep the tradition alive. :) You should PM me. Do you have Facebook?

  • @buddycal1 That's awesome, there are not enough male dancers! I'm not really into Facebook, I only use it periodically to talk to my sisters overseas. I'm on Youtube more. I think I saw one of your performances on your channel. -___- Ugh! I'm jealous. I don't think I'm skilled enough or confident enough to show anyone a video. *Off to practice!* ^___^

  • @rosereddoll There is every likelihood that many nobles and royalty are the only people that would have had the money for not only dancers but food, horses etc. Except for the local parties of people that do belly dancing that is.

  • @rosereddoll It's so nice to see truth expressed. :)

  • @izlude2 The modern belly dance outfit is a modern western creation. If you can find a traditional Egyptian dancer, they usually wear a beledi dress.

And remember, not all middle eastern and north African countries have a dress code (especially for performers). ^__^ And not all "belly dance countries" are Muslim. And the ones that are weren't always.

  • @rosereddoll actually if you watch the very beginning and early old egyptian films you can see belly dancing outfits. they've been around for a long time, but yes, some wore beledi dresses. not all.

  • @paniuroczy Yeah, movies influenced the rise of the outfit. Particularly western movies, whose images were repeated in other countries. The sparkly bra and skirt did not originate in the middle east, though. You're right they have been around for a long time though, but considering how old these styles of dance are, I find the advent of cinema to be "modern".

  • @rosereddoll true. I like this cabaret style better. although, I believe that few of the early outfits showed some belly, like the beledi dress whose opening went down to the belly. I may be wrong though. thank you for sharing, it's very interesting.

  • @paniuroczy The bra-style costume originated in Turkey, not Egypt. Fun fact!

  • @buddycal1 right, I know that, but it's been around for a long time.

  • @paniuroczy Oh, indeed. I wasn't jumping you at all. :) I was just throwing that out there for the heck of it. ^_^

  • @buddycal1 no no, it's fine. thanks though, it's very interesting

  • strange evil looking people.

  • @kludge11 Take your trolling elsewhere. XP

  • Dear Ms. Brice :

You look positively radiant in white! I have noticed that your hands are very expressive and beautiful! Keep it up you are in my prayers .

    Blessing to you :

    MFPDMD

  • subscribe meee!!! Bellydance Videos every week! ONLINE LESSONS

  • snake lady. fucking beautiful

  • She moves like a snake...I am entranced.

  • Well now. if everyone danced the same dance all the time, it would be pretty damn boring, would it not? personally i find the earthy old world village styles of tribal fusion (hence tribe) has more definition in the body isolations. many dancers will find it more challenging. i love how each song can have a new interpretation, especially when fusing in other styles and dances. my favorites, flemenco and romani gypsy

  • How does she do that thing where it looks like she impregnates herself? It is stunning!

  • @urbanburglary It's called an ab roll. All it is is pushing your stomach out and then sucking it back in. One of the easiest belly dance moves to master actually.

  • SICK!!

  • SICK!

  • the first time i ever watched belly dancing was on tv, and wqed was showing a few clips of belly dance superstars and i remember seeing Rachel Brice doing her tribal fusion, and i remember feeling awed. soon after i found out that they are coming near where i live, and now i can't wait, and i'm saving up my money to buy a couple tickets to see the show =)

  • @aztequedeor you're a fag

  • wonderful!!

  • This is what belly dance should be. Expressive, technically complex yet beautifully graceful. Too bad this clip wasn't longer

  • I've been looking for the song playing ever since I found the video and finally found it!! Look it up on youtube as "Ensemble Mizmar Baladi - Tayyara". :D

  • @AeternalEnigma

THKS FOR THE TRACK...WAS LOOKING FOR IT A VERYYYYYY LONG TIME!!!!

  • Oh by far!! I agree 100%!!! YOu see the controll she has! I saw the girls on America's got talent and was like "NO WAY! YOU have to see this woman to know how a belly dance can look compaired to the others. This woman is AMAZING!!! Either way I'm voting Prince Poppycock on that show.

  • @wundumrun

Sadie and Kaya(?) were on AGT however sadie is at the same skill level as Rachel both amazing both apart of belly dance superstars. Kaya on the other hand....

  • Rachel DIVAA

  • incredible, she has so much control

  • I cnt stop thinking about the intestines and...other body parts inside the torso lool.

  • @vishal676 It is interesting that you have noticed this. Belly dance aids in digestion, can improve tonus of GI tract, increases blood flow to those areas. Especially good for PMS relief. Externally, when danced frequently, strengthens your torso's core muscles. Like your own muscular girdle.

Remember Bruce Lee talked of his "iron shirt"? Same thing.

  • No hay palabras para describir a esta mujer tan tan buena en el bellydance!!!!!!!

  • Her face is just as beautiful as her dance, what a nice smile.

  • I LOVE RACHEL, SHE THE BEST TRIBAL BELLY DANCE WITH ME :)

  • Awesome dancing, music and costume! Anyone found out what the music is?

  • I bet half the people making the tribal noises live in LA or some shit.....lol.....posing..

  • @jay4457 rachel comes from LA lol, well spotted.

  • She really is an amazing dancer :) I just love her sooo much!

I'm a belly dancer myself and at the moment I'm trying to do some shimmy and ribcage movement at the same time, such as she does... but it's soo hard.. really amazing ;)

  • ripped...no fucking belly....

  • Whats the name of the song?

  • @AkaOniRai word, this shit is so trippy when high

  • CRANK ITTTTT!!!

  • I wonder how long it takes her to put that costume and accessory's on..

  • Love her :)

  • That's incredible! How in the heck does she get her belly to MOVE like that?!

  • @Masterfoot I've learned to do it, it's a secret...

  • soooo snakyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • the fact that i can see her ribs kept distracting me...IMO dancers should have a little more meat on the bones, it makes the moves more sensual. kinda hard to bellydance with no belly, lol.

  • Very nice!

    Thank you!

    Ana

  • She is just amazing.....this lady ...poetry in motion, I'd call it.

  • I'm looking for this song. Do you know what is the title?

  • Amazing. She makes it seem so effortless, her stomach looks like liquid....Rachel Brice is a legend!!!

  • breathtaking

  • u just cant imagine how it is difficult to move your belly like while shaking your hips

  • hhhmm puuurriittttttyyyy!!!

  • Beautiful!

  • Tayyara~ Musicians of the Nile

  • If only it didn't cut!!

  • what is the name of this song in this video ?

  • as far as Didem and Rachel..its TWO different types of belly dancing. They are both GREAT in their area of expertise.

  • i need to know,.......where i can found this music!!!

  • freaking awesome

  • Some people wrote that she ´s is best at all, not really.. u will change your opinion if u watch this here ....../watch?v=0G6Kp_I8WNU or another video of her

  • Comment removed

  • @Can10ful I don't think it can be compared. Yours is a Turkish belly dancer, and Rachel Brice does tribal belly dance. Every country has a different way of dancing, and tribal isn't even traditional BD and is not danced in the same way exactly. And in art, some people are touched by this artist, some other by that artist. That doesn't mean one is better than the other. But I do like Rachel Brice better.

  • that was completely captivating!

  • petits cours : ceci est du tribal une des nombreuses danses orientales!!!

  • oh my god i fucking love rachel brice! best tribal dancer ever, no question about it! she is the bomb.

  • mm... le hace falta màs estilizar sus ondulaciones en abdomen!!! ... pero... realmente sus tecnicas vienen màs de egipto... que de arabia, turquìa o libano.. asì que sì lo vemos por ese lado... està bien.... :)

  • @TAYEMT Tienes idea de quien estas hablando???

  • @bozenkkirshav

    yeah, right! would not do

Such comments did I not know what I mean! :)

  • asi es...thebest of the best....rachel sin duda :):D

  • La perfection de la tribal fusion !!!!!!!!!!!

  • @tammiejo

You're right about some of the traditional stuff being a little lame. Or just kinda, you know, too old. And I do like a lot of the new tribal stuff. I just try and keep my dance as pure as possible.

  • hi!!! HEY,..YOU KNOW THE NAME OF THE MUSIC OF THIS VIDEO?

  • oh God its so perfect doing moving her body....

  • I would definitely incourage everyone to practise their freedom and right of dance, worship, and cult or religion. In this place we can watch the excellence of the open mind in its true workings. Brice ROX!!

  • The subtlety in isolations sometimes escape the attention of the less than observant observers. They see long hair and twirling as a form of dance. FINE, but that is not the same as the art of belly dance. In other words, rock on!.. Rachel Brice!!! Your dance is far superior to many twirling twits!!!

  • thats why i love this stuff. In this short attention span society it is nice to have to focus on the little things

  • @ANNIEPANNIES I agreed with you until you insulted. I love Rachel Brice, but her style is different than traditional belly dance. She does tribal or tribal fusion, which is an American invention. So it's different than traditional belly dance.
