and one more thing.....fabric would be ideal for video editing but i dont do video editing...i do photo editing....so i prefer to use plastic such as a table cloth or shyny posterboard because it is easier to erase the background. When i edit photos with fabric the fabric particles get selected and scattered. It is very hard to see that they are still on the picture too because they are tiny.

I would not recommend colours that are not : Blue, Green or Red but as i said any colour would work...Reflective surfaces like Silk would not be good as they would make diferent shades with light.
