I was trippin face and i remember my friend passed out right next to me in the middle of 80000 people right after this song during schism. It was almost too intense but so amazing. I am so happy i was there.
OMG, I was so fucking close, this show was insane! It says Chicago 2016 because they were promoting the idea of having the Olympics in Chicago in 2016.
haha, after reading a comment about some guy from norway, that reminds me. there was these two guys from south africa who came all the way to chicago just to see tool. they were pretty funny too, telling the security to give out water to the south africans... best time of my life, aside from the mosh pits during rise against and the gay ass pushing
tool's my favorate band of all time... definetly one of the best things i've ever seen in my life. they sounded quite excellent, and so did everyone else at lollapalooza. they ppl who run lolla know how to pick their bands.
WOWOW what an amazing show. we waited till right after rise against and made our way to the near front and waited an hour and we had an awesome view the whole time. and i will say that aside from the huge rush durring the first song it was a rather polite crowd of ppl. So mashing but i could really enjoy the show with my girlfriend with out tryed to keep her from being trampled the whole time. and we were Close!
I was front row until i felt the effects of food poisoning and had to get crowd surfed out at the end of rise against....god im still depressed about it...
Man, no water for 4 hrs, had to crowd surf out during forty six and two and stood on the stairs for the rest of the show, sad story man. Fighting my way to the front since the beginning of the rise against show :(
man i was in the front row and it was a MADHOUSE.you couldnt even tell after a while whether you were getting wetter from sweating or the water the bodyguards would pour over you
this is true... i didnt even want wet half the time in the front but it juts happened because the water would go backwards instead of forward where they threw it..amazing show
I was in THE FUCKING FRONT ROW for this! Like, right in front of Adam! I can't stop freaking out about how awesome this was... and of course because it was a jumping/moshing hellhouse in there I couldn't get any pix or make a vid :P
i get mad shivers thinking about this nite..
5:47 at the very end danny rolls the double bass...so INSANE..he did that once the whole tour...

Pan of the Chicago skyline in back was key. To know that they blasted their vibes out into the city is beautiful.

The name of this song is "Forty Six & 2."
Both are off the album "Ænima" (spelled differently than the song).

There is seldom moshing at tool concerts. It was probably the metal head idiots who were there to see the other bands doing that.
LittleEmoBoy001 2 years ago
Yeah the moshing kinda sucked id rather listen to the music then get punched and kicked around, oh well the show still ruled.
