This is a myth that has been perpetuated by the left wing nuts. We are there because of 9-11-2001, a day that will live in infamy as much as 12-7-1941. At least the Japs had the courage to pick on a military target and not civilians.
Yes, Bush admits mistakes were made. In all wars mistakes are made. I hope you remember that when you claim we are there for oil only. Oil never entered in to the mix. It was strictly retaliation and defense.
@AviationguyAlex Retaliation for what?!? 911? Iraq had nothing to do with 911, Iraq was a secular country, Saddam hated Al-Quada and killed terrorists on his turf! As for defence, defending against what?!? All these WMDs had never had! You talk so much rubbish
What I found most interesting was learning that man is not a rational creature
Marie Antoinette, an Austrian princess, was executed for the sins of Rothschild, who at the time had bankrupted France by building the worlds most opulent castle for himself in France
Do the history books mention that Rothschild was responsible for the poverty of the nation or the princess who had no role in government?
Lee Harvey Oswald? Osama Bin Laden?
IN all cases, a cartel of banking oligarchs did it!
Catchy song. Can´t figure out why that guy playing the Telecaster makes me want to drink a huge glass of beer. Maybe just use a pitcher for the glass ? Nice singing too.
It is a joke, this fucking war is rediculous and the only fucking reason were in it is because Bush is a retard and NOTHING ELSE got it? Ok good lol anyways I thought it was hillarious, does that bother you? THEN GOOD! =)
I have a political statement to make: President Obama, please undo all of the horrible crimes that the Bush Administration has perpetrated on the American Public and the World so we can start slogging out of the deep muddy before the water is over our heads. Please sir, I beg of you. I would like to hold my head high again, in my lifetime.
But seriously, Sergi762, this song wasn't a political statement. I wrote it at the beginning of the war and way too early to even have a statement. I had fun writing it, it reflected the public mood at the time, and I hope it's fun to y'all even now.
BTW, everything the Riders do is a drinking song, even the stuff that's not. :o)
Personally Jan I LOVED the song and I think you should make ANOTHER just to piss these assholes off XD make one about these assholes, oh and speaking of alcohol BRING ME SOME!!!!!
Thanks you two for having the courage to put something out there during this age of hatred, lies and vitriol coming from "the other side". Great work with electric and the words...Ya'all have a lot to work with and am so glad you shared your ideas, commitment, and musician-ship with us.
Thanks, pissontheroof. The banjo is most prominents in the intro, the bridge (the bridge being the part that goes "we ran past the Kurds and we ran past the Shiites..."), the intro into the bridge, the ending solo and the outro.

Truth'll burn your heart out - burnin' Bush kind of stuff. How about 1 vote if you live here, 2 if you're born here, 4 if you served 4+ yr. and 8 for combat? Truth - now *that's* funny - but, we can (and better) be creative. BTW: I love this song, video and perfomance. Truth out.
I think freedom and liberty are what they're fighting for (cynics might say oil :), not any particular system. Beside, this country was founded as a limited republic. Democracy tends towards the cruel, brutal, rash and stupid..., just like what we have now.

these people would protect Adolph Hitler. they worry about a iraqi civilian getting caught in an explosion, but what of the people being tortured & killed, the people fed into the shredder alive, the rape squads, the mass graves? these are not innocent people. we will have to fight them sometime, do we wait till they are able to fight on our level? if the Nazis' had been wiped out in 1935 10 million people could have been saved. Europe would not had needed to be completely destroyed & rebuilt.
our men our doing great i know i'm in the army i'm infentry i been over to iraq 3 times afganistan twice so all i can say to people who htink were doing nothing is fuck off and learn somthing by joing the army.
Amen, soldier. As a Nam-era vet, I took even worse crap from the left. (Kerry thought we'd forget?!) Still, most of my friends are liberals and though they oppose our current strategy (wrongly, I believe), they honor your service, commitment and professionalism. (And any that don't can take a flying f**k!) As to enlisting: Would you want these jerks (mostly cowards anyhow) covering your back? (I guess you could put them out on point. ;) In my perfect world, only the vets get to vote.
@ringer904 We're not having a go at the troops, we're attacking the politicians for sending them there. I think you're the one who needs to learn also, basic english would be a good start.
Thanks, Carl. When I write a parody, I try to use as much of the original as possible. It wasn't easy working Gulf of Mexico into a song about Iraq. :^)
we did scare them home now it's teriost who will glady die for there gos there god call them tokill us who they belive are infendels and then they will kill them selves the quran says if you kill a infidel(christan, jewsh, buddise)the can go to heavan and have a mansion with seventy to rooms and one vrgin in each room.
Thanks, lentamentalisk. Note that this song was written at the beginning of the Iraq war, and reflects the general views at the time - the giddy optimism of the administration and the press. Alas, none of this turned out to be true, except that we couldn't win without killing their civilians. Hell, we can't even break even without killing their civilians.
Contrast this with my song "Execution Row (Postcards of the Hanging)" on this channel, written 4 years later and much more sober.
Our boys are doing a lot more good than you and many other people even realize, yet few people ever notice. You like so many others, have been watching our propaganda media too much.

With time, events have retrospectively imbued the song with rorschach-like messages, but there was none intended or detected when written.
oh lol it sounded like you were pro war.."time make the wise look like fools and the fools wise"..time changes r words..oh and my friends call me bond...james bond(jk)
Nobody's PRO WAR, SC or JB ole buddy. Think about this--if everyone had your point of view, we would all be speaking German, Japanese, or Italian now and at the mercy of the Nazis. That what you want?
You should read your history a little better. If the Japanese had not attacked Pearl Harbor, the United States never would have gone in to WW2.
The nazis were highly regarded in the US, before the Japanese attack. Try checking out JFKs fathers stand on the nazis, at that time, and you will know what I mean.
And you should really read up on history, like about how it was the US oil embargo on Japan that provoked Perl Harbor. So if the US had not interfered in the lifes of other it would not have been attacked in the first place. Now, is that something that could be applied to 9/11? But I guess that the you-know-whos just had to have their war somehow...
Check out a more sombre song I wrote about an American soldier who survives Vietnam, only to lose his son in Iraq. When you open the video, you can view the lyrics by clicking on "more" to the right of the screen.
I visited your channel, nubbie1944. Your words: "Nonsense will not be tolerate..., or other stupid thing will be deleted...." Seems that you like to give it out, but you can't take it. I call that hypocracy.
Bravo bulbheadmyass for your "liberal" editorial policy! (and that's no shit...)
This song is a good example of how Bill Clinton fooled alot of people about the weapons he said that was in Iraq. Even Bush said he had been fooled- after killing nearly 100,000 Iraq women and children.
this is a great video, the cutting truth of the lyrics and the video cartoon is spot on...love the relaxed studio style... no 'pop' stars here, just great musicians and great heart!
I have one in these charts too, as do many others.
Greta to know there are so many intelligent creative and honest people, we are tyhe many6!
Anyone ever played the game Risk? Popular board game that came out in the late 70's. The goal is world domination. Odds seem to be in favor for he who takes over the Persian Gulf area at the beginning of the game.
One would hope as a species we'd move beyond the goal of 'world domination' at some point in time. Tolstoy said it was the will of the French people that raised up an Napolean. (...but I still dig playing RISK).
Embarrassing at the very least, KeepCountryReal. This song was written at the beginning of the Iraq war -- four years earlier than "Execution Row," and it, like Ex-Row, reflects the sentiment at that time.
Alas, in retrospect, the only part of this song that turned out to come true was that we couldn't "win" without killing their civilians. Hell, we can't even break even.
You guys are incredible. These are so well done, just amazing. Wicked guitar, and vocals and your lyrics are just right on. So glad to have caught these, I agree with adelfred, you should cut an album, s☺☺☺ g☺☺☺d!
Thanks, HerkMeck. This tune was written at the beginning of the war and reflects the general feeling at the time. In retrospect, the only part that turned out to be true was that we couldn't "win" without killing their civilians.
Thanks, Bruce. The theme "The Battle of Florida" in 2000 has lots of potential. Your parodies are brilliant and hilarious, and I'd love to hear that one.
Hi Jan, Cool, thanks.I temped between jobs in the '90s at WSGR making copies and coding docs. for litigation, reported to a paralegal named John, um, forgot his last name, same last name as one of your main litigators, I think. I also did a parody of Battle of N.O. in 2000 (archived in Dec. 2007 on their site if you'd want to listen): "The Battle of Florida."
Not bad at all.

What was the cause of the War of 1812?
Answer: Rothschild!
He said if we pulled out the Federal Reserve Bank he would send Brit troops - And he did!
And what did ole' Andrew Jackson spend his 2 terms fighting?
Answer: the Rothschilds and other bankers who had installed a Federal Reserve Bank into the USA!

Great song!

Anyone ever played the game Risk? Popular board game that came out in the late 70's. The goal is world domination. Odds seem to be in favor for he who takes over the Persian Gulf area at the beginning of the game.
stonedrolling 4 years ago
One would hope as a species we'd move beyond the goal of 'world domination' at some point in time. Tolstoy said it was the will of the French people that raised up an Napolean. (...but I still dig playing RISK).

While I love the song, and appreciate the lyrics, it is kind of embarrassing to think about how there was nothing ever found :(. 5 stars nonetheless!
KeepCountryReal 4 years ago
Embarrassing at the very least, KeepCountryReal. This song was written at the beginning of the Iraq war -- four years earlier than "Execution Row," and it, like Ex-Row, reflects the sentiment at that time.
Alas, in retrospect, the only part of this song that turned out to come true was that we couldn't "win" without killing their civilians. Hell, we can't even break even.

Your parodies are brilliant and hilarious, and I'd love to hear that one.
bulbheadmyass 4 years ago
Hi Jan, Cool, thanks.I temped between jobs in the '90s at WSGR making copies and coding docs. for litigation, reported to a paralegal named John, um, forgot his last name, same last name as one of your main litigators, I think. I also did a parody of Battle of N.O. in 2000 (archived in Dec. 2007 on their site if you'd want to listen): "The Battle of Florida."
cheers,
Bruce (Loose Bruce Kerr)
