  • Why no Stacks ?

  • @Cod4m4 dont you see, theyre coming out the bottom

  • Like a boss.

  • Nice truck

  • Nice sweat pants, did you give up already?

  • @Ry4nH4m1ll i dont understand what this comment meant.

  • Truck sounds awesome with those duals angled toward to the ground, and those racks and toolboxes look great

  • @nignag088 youbetter shut up

  • starts up every time.

  • nice

  • FUCKIN SWEET

  • Just bought an 92 cummins turbo with 5.9 dually 250

  • I'm up in north Canada and this is not what cold is called

  • how big of a lift is on the truck

  • What is the amazing thing with this?

It ain't even close to being cold...

15 degrees or so? Fahrenheit or Celsius? No matter what that is you should at least get under 35 C before it gets interesting, no offence at all but I find it not anything close to being a cold start, sorry.

  • what all do you have done to this truck and how high is the lift and what size tires. do the tires rub?

  • 15F = -12C. My 6.5 chevy will start at that. No big or deal or anything

  • Holy crap 100K+ views on cold start up vid? nice!

  • Ol girl started right up. First gen all the way.

  • nice truck dude!! good vid!

  • GOOD OLD CUMMINS THIS IS A NICE TRUCK MAN

  • My god that is a bitchin truck!

  • I like your exhaust. its unique

  • well, it´s a cummins, so what do you expect? Of cource it starts well!!!

  • Nice Truck!

  • I am a ford guy and I love these trucks.... It's that dam engine. I would pay like 3500 for one of these trucks in alright shape. That's alot for a ford guy lol

  • should get electric start you dumbass! you wouldnt have to go out in your joggins and scares your neighbors your a fucking jackass. get a fucking life! check my page for some worthy videos. hopefuly you can read you dumbass! if not get some glasses and i don't like your exhaust. fuck you fuckronaut

  • love the exhaust set up

  • First generation dodges are tought to defeat.

Especially the old 12 valve cummins. I currently have a truck that my father is using for a dumptruck that happens to be a 92 d350, and it starts at 15 degrees without a hitch, without a spit or sputter. We don't use any type of block heaters or anything, just the stock heater, and we sure as hell don't have to plug it. It's a tough truck. Infact, we're going to put a new turbo on it tomorrow. The old turbo has had it, and barely spools up anymore.

  • i love my first gen. 3 below zero cranked right up with one snap of my glow plugs. anybody elses first gen rattle a lot when its cold?

  • I like how you walk up to start it and then walk back so nonchalant lol

  • 0:26-0:30 fuck yeah, this is my truck.

  • will u sell it?

  • Damn nice truck, Those older dodges with cummins turbo diesel are my all time favorite trucks

  • To the people that like this vid, great. To the haters, whatever. I have 2 cummins trucks, a 90 w350 that is bone stock, and this one that's cranked up pretty good. In cold weather, even with the grid heaters, the 90 fires once and dies. Starts on the 2nd try every time. I don't know why this one starts faster, just that it does.

  • @goldrushparts could you make a vid of the 90 cummins please?

  • nice vid

  • nice rig,

  • sweet truck

  • I like the Kootenai county plates!

  • You fuckwit bogan

  • crisp start. my engine needs a little work, starts slower than that, but it still starts. even last year @ -17.

  • @shrankm..... Cummins don't have glow plugs they have a grid heater system instead

  • good ol 12 valve. start every time in the cold

  • Sweet Dodge and I also like the dual exhaust

  • never seen dual side exhaust like that, i like it. nice truck

  • Wicked nice first gen

  • only real men can appreciate a diesel truck.

nice sounding diesel you got there.

  • Nice looking truck! Sounds great too

  • nice man, diesels last forever

  • @armynavyguy go fuck yourself clown. FIND A BETTER SPORT, LIKE KNITTING YOU DINK WIZARD.

  • @bradenn Did he kill your dog or something? Wow, angry much?

  • could you show the exaust system please

  • love the sound of that man

  • @armynavyguy fag you dont deserve a truck like that

  • Nice truck! i've been looking for a 1st gen just like that. those old cummins are the best. i got an 85 power ram and i just pump the gas once and turn the key and it starts right up in the dead winter, (gas 318 carb).

  • holy shit some of you people gross me out, if you dont like the video then dont comment on it saying you dont like it, click on one you do like next time, half you people on youtube dont own or ever even drove a cummins so why bother telling someone that owns one hes wrong,..ps nice truck dude

  • @armynavyguy Why do you idiots keep clicking on it? Was I misleading in the title? Were you expecting some race footage or a mud bog? Personally, if I didn't want to see a video of a truck starting, I wouldn't watch one with this title. Nuff said.

  • cold start and you don't wait for glow plugs? awesome!! lol

  • @schrankm these trucks are direct injection motors that do not require glow plugs therefore there is no prechamber

  • @50sChevyKING that's news to me, first dodge cummins i've seen with no glow plugs

  • @50sChevyKING All modern diesel engines use direct injection, it has nothing to do with glow plug function. Glow plugs are used to warm the combustion chambers to aid in ignition when ambient air is very cold. Since diesels ignite the fuel mixture by compression heat, they're more susceptible to cold weather than engines using electrical ignition. The Cummins uses grid heaters in their intake pipe, which warm the incoming air when needed. This is why they don't need glow plugs.

  • @schrankm No glow plugs in that Cummins, it has dual grid heaters.

Regardless, the best way to make your diesel last is to plug in the block heater when its cold out. The forged pistons they use in diesel engines, are much denser than cast pistons found in gas engines. They're more susceptible to thermal expansion. For this reason, the engine builders have to allow more piston to cylinder clearance. If very cold, forged pistons really rattle around in the cylinder bores. It's not a good thing.

  • Why do people make videos of them starting their trucks when its cold outside? I just dont get it

  • 100 above, 10 below....wait for the light to go out and my 02 Duramax fires instantly as if nothing were up. Powerstrokes have hydraulic injectors and the thick oil in cold complicates starting. But SO WHAT??? Thats the natuer of the beast. Oh...and my 1992 Dodge D250 Cummins starts this easy in the cold as well. Many later model diesels do. Its not worth noting.

  • wow cold starts arent that big of a deal

  • that is a baddddd bitch take off them mudflaps tho

  • umm... no grids no plug in at 15F no start... well eventually yeah but not that fast. 15C would be a more logical reason it started that quick... but personally im saying that it was started before. hell at 15F our 99 ram with the grid takes 3 times that long to start.... it turns over about 4 times and its alive. that didnt turn over twice and it was started. somethings not adding up

  • Truck wasn't started since night before. 1st gens generally start quicker than the trucks with computers. They don't have to wait for the ecu to receive a signal from sensors, just inject fuel & start.

  • This is true i have a 90 VE cummins and it starts amazingly well no matter what the temperature. The ksb helps to get the timing in the right spot where a p pump you cannot change the timing once its set

  • @goldrushparts early 2nd gens didn't have computers for the engines as well, only the 24 valved engines do

  • @goldrushparts i believe it, my buddies 93 chevy with a 6.5 and a mechanical pump does the same thing...it blows my mind...we're all pre-heatin our 7.3s and 5.9s and he's already idling

  • If I may add, the VE pumps on the 1st gen cummins (such as this one) starts up with the fuel delivery maxed, which will aid in cold starting. I myself HAD a 1992 D250 dually with a cummins, and it too would fire right up in 15-20F degree cold weather with almost no hesitation and no grid heaters (bad relay). I sold it and recently bought a 96 Dodge 3500 that has the p7100 pump that does not start with the fuel delivery maxed, so I usually give it a little fuel to aid in cold weather starting.

  • @TBWdracula2003 dodge had a good starter on there cars and trucks my dads new yorker when it was tuned righ ust to start that fast in the cold weather mind you it was gas but still i think its as cold as he said it was he just had a good starter

  • @TBWdracula2003 yea theres no way at 15F that that cummins would start that fast. I mean i love cummins, dont get me wrong, but only on one try....hmmmm

  • @TBWdracula2003 my first gen starts like that every time too. They have a small heater in the air intake that runs for about 5 seconds. I touch the starter and its running.

  • @bigdogbandal he says theres no grid heater. so that theory is out the window.

  • @TBWdracula2003 Its a 12v, probably has something to do with it.

  • @gtrxxfiendxx alright if you say so. every 12 valve ive seen takes about 3 times that long to start WITH a grid heater. fresh broke-in rebuild or not.

  • @TBWdracula2003 If your 99 takes 3 cycles at 15F to start the truck then I would start wondering if it has lost compression. I have a 00 3500 that is basically stock except for an Edge Attitude / Juice and AirDog 150 and it starts with one cycle. On occasion around -10*F or below it will fire roughly and die, without the block heater. I just turn the key on and wait for the grid heater to kick off once more and start the truck with a little throttle, keeping the rpms around 1200rpm.

  • @kstinson i didnt say it took 3 cycles to start, i said it takes 3 times as long as to start as the dodge in the video did.

  • What is the amazing thing with this?

It ain't even close to being cold...

15 degrees or so? Fahrenheit or Celsius? No matter what that is you should at least get under 35 C before it gets interesting, no offence at all but I find it not anything close to being a cold start, sorry.

  • @TBWdracula2003 my 96 ram 1500 with the 360 started up this morning at -5 just like it was 80 degrees out. take care of your trucks and theyll take care of you.

  • @MrMicas101 really? you're comparing a gasser to a non preheated diesel? do some research on how hard it is to start a non preheated diesel engine in the cold. i can see if this pickup in the video was already warm and or plugged in MAYBE it might start this easily.

  • @TBWdracula2003 your a dumbass bro. do some research? i obviously dont have to do research if you got a non preheated truck about two inches above in this video starting up on one cycle, i dont have to do research if you can just watch this video and its obviously not hard if you got a truck startin up like that^^^^.

and your a dumbass dude, the description say "no plug ins". so just because you prolly got a powerjoke or a duracrap, doesnt mean you gotta hate on a dodge

  • @MrMicas101 first off, i dont have a PSD or a DMAX, i have a detroit. and no diesel known to man is going to start that easy if its not plugged in or not pre-heated. you're believing a video on youtube, which you have no knowledge to what happened prior to the video. look at other video's of non pre-heated 12 valves starting up. they dont start for shit. what would make this truck any different?

  • @TBWdracula2003 my 99 ram cummins starts like this truck when its --15 out. allways has since i bought it 6 years ago. and i have seen other that wont at all. i think it comes down to the fuel additive you use.

  • @blownutsmyass without footage its fiction. i honestly doubt that you have a 99 cummins that starts in the first rotation of the crank at -15. the one sitting out side the my door right now with a grid heater takes atleast 10-15 revolutions to start.

  • @TBWdracula2003 its not that cold out any more to make that video or i would. but really what it sounds like is your a jelus ford or chevy fagget trying to knock on the cummins. and if you do have that truck you say you do it probly wont start that fast because the dumb fuck!! behind the wheel dont know how to take care of a diesel in the winter and should go buy a gaser like all the other dumbasses do.

  • @blownutsmyass ok first off. if you're going to insult me use decent english. second, if you're going to insult me, do it to my face.

  • @TBWdracula2003 drive your stupid ass over here id be glade to. little tuff guy thats just gona hide behind a computer screen any how.

  • @blownutsmyass you're the one hiding behind a god damn computer. calling me a faggot and a fucking dumbass. you think you're the tough ass.

  • @TBWdracula2003 hows that? i sent you a a place and time to show up so i could say it to your stupid faggaet ass ford loving face. your just anether troll and dont own any dodges with cummins engine. you in fact have a big POS ford. you forget people can see your uploaded videos? what a pussy ass dumbfuck that needs to get a life and stop being jelus. just to prove i gave you that info here it is again Relentless dyno day April 16th 2011 in

    Houston TX BE THERE PUSSY!!!

  • From looking at the ground it doesn't appear to be 15F I'll give you 15C. At 15f the snow would be crispy and the ground frozen. Stil I know my truck would start at 15F without plug in. (92 dodge cummins)

  • Hey, thanks. The high that week was 20 degrees.... F. Are your grids hooked up? Doesn't really matter, I was just bored so took this vid.

  • @goldrushparts @ 15c there would be no snow! 0c is freezing temp, 15c is a cool summer night! seriously!!!

  • @radoliz2 maybe you should be a weather man then drive around the sweet news vans they have

  • @Snickmorder Ya! The power of the microphone draws big bucks! I'd be in the house of the kings then, for sure!...lol

  • @radoliz2 this guy probably can kick your ass. and he has a nice lifted 1st gen. so shut up

  • @xXFmxKingXx Look, I wasn't trying to make trouble. I was taking into account that the ground looked wet. There was no thermo meter reading shown proving the ambient temp!!!??? So, BACK OFF!... I also have a beautiful 1992 dodge with 180,000 miles, and it too would start at 15F as he claims without a plug in. He doesn't look like a guy who would be violent towards me, in any way about my comment. You might, though! LOL :)

  • want...

  • god I miss the old school dodge ram pre-94 body style

  • what kind of exaust is that it looks sick i would love it on my 1st gen

  • really nice truck cummens all the way everything else sucks !!

  • redneck wheels

  • how big is the exaust

  • Where'd you get that dual exhaust or is it custom made?

  • What size em rubbers?

  • Awesome truck! 359 inline 6 Cummins Diesel!

  • thats no cold start try that again here in michigian lol

  • Only if I re-install the grid heater and plug in the block heater. Otherwise I think the extent of my "cold" start would be a click.

  • i like your pipes, yhe look good along with the truck. cummins all day

  • I'm getting a 1992 4x4 Cummins tommorow to acompany my 2001 6Spd H.O. 4x4 Long bed The lift on your truck is perfect. And Yeah Cummins Rule!!! Check out my Cummins 4BT Scout vids.

  • that is an awesome truck. i'm searching for an extended cab 1st gen right now.

  • There pretty hard to find, and there usually pretty beat up

  • What brand lift you got on it man?

  • Skyjacker. They are the only ones I know of that sell a lift for the 1st gen Cummins trucks. You can have springs made (I hear National Spring makes a great product) but it will cost you a lot more.

  • @goldrushparts what size of lift is on that bud i got a 93 cummins long box extended cab i want to lift and what size of tires... what is the biggest tires you could get on that puppy

  • This is direct injected, it doesn't need no pre-heating.

  • You're a moron.
