The Arab tell Hauptmann Dietrich "He has seconds to decided". It is right before Hauptmann Dietrich exits the building. That is the one you are talking about right?
More should be known of the great all American exploits in the desert campaign. The war was going nowhere, and then two star Patton came in with his Rat Patrol and sorted out Rommel. yreher
Do you have fascination with the World War II era? From your words it sounds like it. Or are you a history buff? From what I understand about Patton, he read a book Rommel wrote on warfare. So Patton was well prepare to go up against Rommel. Not to mention, Patton was a great planner in warfare even though he had some issues with some of his men.
I am interested in WW2, as I think that it has shaped the thinking of modern day nations. Also, I like to get to the truth, rather than listen to propaganda. The American generals including Patton were well read in military strategy. My father's cousin was in WW2, and even wrote a paper on strategy before he left. The US leadership was superb. Mind you, Americans knew the danger and importance of war, having gone through so much. Other countries, like England had never really experienced war.
I am facsinated with the WW2 period also. I do agree it shaped the way our modern day nations think. I think the reason the U.S. knew the danger and importance is because we fought for our freedom and fought to keep it. "Freedom isn't free." as the saying goes. I am curious however why you think the other countries have never really experienced war. It seems to me they had. I am thinking about England against Scotland, The Crusades, Bonaparte, and WW1. (Along those lines)
It is because all these wars you mention, WW1, Scotland, the Crusades, Bonaparte and WW1 were never fought on English soil. America knows war. Washington was burnt to the ground. There was the American Civil War, the War of Independence, the Indian Wars, all fought on American soil. The English can never understand this suffereing.
I understand now what you were getting at. You are right there. England did experience the bombing of their cities from Germany but wasn't actually invaded by Germany. But part of England was invaded by the Romans. So one can say they have some experience there even though it is ancient history parsay.
It is true that England was invaded by the Romans. However, that was too long ago, and not in their consciene. They have had it too good for too long and have become cocky. Tha English are also not "straight shooters" like the American people.
I am talking about the English in general. Natrurally the government people are the worst. Some English are truthful and honest, but not many. It is in their culture to trick and manipulate people. This should always be recognized.
I can see in our (U.S.) history where we have been manipulate by the British but that is mostly in the French and Indian Wars, the Revolutionary War, and the War of 1812. I know during the two world wars, Britain tried to talk us in to getting involved but we wouldn't. It took a tradgety to get us involve in those two wars. I think with the Iraq War, we were the ones to get others involved with us. I am curious why you think that. I might have missed something in history.
I wish somebody had REAL episodes of the show. Not sure why people want to put crappy music to good, classic video.

read the lips of the actor dressed up like an Arab Sheik during the last few seconds of the video. Right before he explodes himself.

You are right about it was too long ago. Are you meaning the government of England in your third sentence?
