This is such a beautiful game and I noticed its flaws but no game is ever perfect really, like take Uncharted 2 for example, BEST graphics for any game to date, BEST story-line and game-play is fucking amazing, not to mention the Multi-player, but Uncharted still had flaws even though there were few, it still had flaws. Same with Epic games like AC, FF13, Ninja Gaiden, etc.
Overall though this game is very soothing, the environments are stunning and I may buy this game and do it fully :) x
@somerandomkrn, I do prefer the 360 for shooters, but why would I pick up a PS3 when the games that are more popular are the shooters, just like the 360? Games like Folklore are few and far between...on the PS3. But I don't just prefer the 360 for the shooters, it's also XBLA and the 360's app section-XBLIG.
I prefer the Xbox 360 but I had a chance to play a lot of this game and it's a masterpiece. If more people would've bought this game, it would've set the tone for the PS3 and people wouldn't be spending there money on shooters.

Plus reviews (IGN may have given it 9/10 but its metacritic score is like 75...do the math) and pre-hype (well lack of) didn't do it justice, plus ps3 exclusives seemed to be everyone's punchbags at the time. If this game had been released a couple of years later it would have done way better.

I love how Keats and Ellen has two completely different combat styles. Keats is more offensive rushdown focused with all his destruction moves and Ellen is more defensive and strategic with all her charm/status moves. Fun game. Definitely play this.
i love this game, its got the collecting aspect which is alway good (like pokemon but not as many) the fighting not only takes skill but you have to be smart in knowing what creature is best in each fight. and the art work is so great that at time you just want to stop and stare at the sorroundings. six axis is used as a gimmic but it doesnt ruin the game ( just wish it had trophies) also if they release a 2nd one im gonna have an heart attack from exitement.
@tonyp1928 I would thumbs up, but I don't say that. Take Kingdoms of Amalur or Skyrim for example. They are really working on the fantasy type games now. I think you should look out for other upcoming fantasy games that I consider looking into. In general, I would recommend a nice well done fantasy game. It gives the power of a whole to world for the players to explore. What I consider boring, are probably games out there like Spore Hero for Wii that failed giving out its best fantasy gameplay.

It was this review that made me hunt down this gmae. I enjoyed playing the game it has a great gameplay system and a excellent story. seriously the wanting to find out what happens literley forces u to continue playing. i personly didnt mind the six-axis usage its a big hard to get use to at first but after a while it becomes second nature, when u see an id pop up u will atomaticly just flick the controller without knowing. overall solid game not a classic but u will enjoy playing it.
@TehPure its up to u, its better to play alternate them to understand the story, but eventually ull need ellen to get to a certain point for keats to proceed. i say play ellen first and then keats.
Although this is definitely not the best rpg out there, the ps3 seriously needs more games like this. AND they need to be better marketed so that more people are aware of such a great game!
@Crashandburn999 This game is alot better than Genji. But then Game republic fucked it up with the 6 axis controller. Its fun to yank the ID out with a flick of the controller, but after a while IT REALLY wears its charm. I just wanted to go to the settings and turn it off. It gets more annoying when you try to pull the ID out of a Boss. Thats an annoying timing sequence that will make you sweat. But still, its a very unique game in the theme and style. Thank god New PS3 games dont use 6 axis
@WallyWadeMovies : I really hate the timing absorb, especially on the Exedra id ( Keats) -I like the beat absorb. Its a love game though with great graphics and nice soundtrack. I have never been able to finish it though.

@tie011 Well, that's good then, because that's what FF is all about. It's not about the combat-system and how powerful your weapons are, it is about the stories they tell. If I wanted to play a action-filled game with no good story, I'd choose CoD MW2. However, FF is so much more than just action, you know ;)
@KnightSauro Lets be honest though, FF13 was good not great. The first 10 hours I spent running and clicking auto repeatedly. The story in the early going wasn't even that good. I had to listen to that god damn Vanille's voice and Hope's whining. Only about 2/3 of the way through did I really start to enjoy the game. FF13 was an avarage FF game.
I think COD: MW2 is the better game even story-wise. I probably enjoyed the campaign more too. I really enjoyed ff12 so I hope versus is like that.

I couldn't get into this game. When I first saw stuff, I was thinking more of Indigo Prophecy, but it wasn't. I liked the story, but the gameplay bored me :\

i loooove this game. playing it right now :) it's extremely refreshing to see the girl in this is not a teenager or a child. she's defiantly more of a young adult (like in her early 20's), which is nice. love the story line, keeps you guessing :)

It was this review that made me hunt down this gmae. I enjoyed playing the game it has a great gameplay system and a excellent story. seriously the wanting to find out what happens literley forces u to continue playing. i personly didnt mind the six-axis usage its a big hard to get use to at first but after a while it becomes second nature, when u see an id pop up u will atomaticly just flick the controller without knowing. overall solid game not a classic but u will enjoy playing it.

@Crashandburn999 This game is alot better than Genji. But then Game republic fucked it up with the 6 axis controller. Its fun to yank the ID out with a flick of the controller, but after a while IT REALLY wears its charm. I just wanted to go to the settings and turn it off. It gets more annoying when you try to pull the ID out of a Boss. Thats an annoying timing sequence that will make you sweat. But still, its a very unique game in the theme and style. Thank god New PS3 games dont use 6 axis

@WallyWadeMovies : I really hate the timing absorb, especially on the Exedra id ( Keats) -I like the beat absorb. Its a love game though with great graphics and nice soundtrack. I have never been able to finish it though.

@Chris8990123 Couldn't agree with you more, 12 was such a disappointment, played hours after hours trying to find good in the game and i finally finished it, oh how very disappointed i was, wasn't too excited with 13 but just watching game-play videos made me want to vomit and I HAD to pass on the game. I'm just hoping Versus XIII does the franchise justice

@tie011 Well, that's good then, because that's what FF is all about. It's not about the combat-system and how powerful your weapons are, it is about the stories they tell. If I wanted to play a action-filled game with no good story, I'd choose CoD MW2. However, FF is so much more than just action, you know ;)

@KnightSauro Lets be honest though, FF13 was good not great. The first 10 hours I spent running and clicking auto repeatedly. The story in the early going wasn't even that good. I had to listen to that god damn Vanille's voice and Hope's whining. Only about 2/3 of the way through did I really start to enjoy the game. FF13 was an avarage FF game.
I think COD: MW2 is the better game even story-wise. I probably enjoyed the campaign more too. I really enjoyed ff12 so I hope versus is like that.

I played FF7 and it fucking sucked. FF8 wasnt bad, FF9 i liked, FF10 is my fav, FF7 dirge of cerberus wasnt bad, FF10-2 was crap story wise but entertaining somewhat(only played it for the ending). FF4 I liked. The others i have yet to play.
