@AdoublesLdouble The bruins have one of my favorite modern day players in Lucic, the modern day Cam Neely! I am a sens fan myself.......mostly because it's my home town team, before I cheered for the sens I was a penguins fan, all my faovite players...ron francis, jagr, lemieux, barasso, wregget ulf etc etc.
In all fairness, and I can't totally speak for all regions of Nova Scotia, but while this is "famous" in the Maritimes, that doesn't necessarily mean that it is popular. I think in ten years I've seen one guy show up to a party with a case of Schooner and he was loudly mocked for hours. Keith's, Alpine, Moose Green and Moose Light are the dominate local macros, with the national swill like Cold Shots and Coors Light holding decent market share as well.
@countroshculla I have had three of their products thus far, one I loved, one I liked and one I thought was Meh...I know I have four more of their beers on the way here right now.
@elharlock probably going to hurt my rep in the maritimes, but I knew that it was sent more as a gag.....sort of like la chi! I had fun with it, they did as well and we hope that the viewers will but I'm sure the knob gobbling will start soon enough.
@countroshculla Nah, it isn't good isn't something any of us would want to drink but none of us other than the reverend really drink sugar fortified high gravity lagers, we decided to take a high gravity brew and have fun with it and truthfully break it down and talk about it's flavors which aren't good....but it isn't the worst thing any of us have had...to sweet though for regular drinking, but the trolls will be out in a few hours calling us morons and every other word one could think of.
Rut roh, here come the trolls! My Schooner review became one of my most popular reviews because of how big it is here, and I've been bitched out by knobs for it because I was honest, even if I still passed it.
And like fuck Maritimers only eat Seafood, I hate seafood! The big reason alot of the restaurants here carry Seafood is because the tourists(especially the ones from Ontario) love the shit.
@maddmaxstar We have learnt in our time that Ken is the almighty and is always right and we should never argue with him even when he is wrong! He knows he's been there! I hate seafood myself don't ever touch the stuff.
And I know it would get trolled, hell I get a good deal of knobs that don't get everyone can have their opinion and if they don't get the comedic "having fun" Vibe we try to do on some of these big brand macros then oh well.

And I understand the comedic angle, it's a rather generic beer, Maritime answer to a macro beer. Really, reviewers and not here to kiss ass to be in line with public opinion, we're here to show what we think and say our opinion. To some people the truth hurts when the beer they've been drinking for years gets poorly rated by people with experience. Then they want to hurt us for it.
@maddmaxstar yeah..yeah...leaf jerseys...and I know exactly what you are talking about, and fat tug is the one I was getting bitched out on because it is the best IPA in Canada and possibly the world...one of the two or three times in my time on here I didn't just let the haters bitch and responded...to which I got a basic "I'm right your wrong and thats why you have only this many views on this beer" I love the trolls though when it's them talking taste is subjective when it's you their right.
It's very famous here for sure...famous for how bad it is! I used to drink a fair amount of it years ago...but the taste has changed a lot!
