I'm with you.  They are more cleaner and give a more modern look with a clearer, up to date audio ending.

This was one of the later seasons (pre-1988) that they used a larger (and different font) for the closing credits.

Wow. I've never seen that version of the Bagdasarian logo before. Syndicated reruns of seasons 1-5 used this logo, but with the words "PRODUCED BY" on top.

God bless Junior channel for airing all episodes of AATC in their original form (even though they're in German).

Hopefully true and legitimate DVD releases will do the same, but in English, as well as other audio tracks.
