  • Great comedy sketch. A pretty good satire of many things Star Trek. Jim Carrey does the best Kirk I jave ever seen! LOL... Come get some Catspit~! ☠

  • by reading the comments i see you ignorant bastards had nothing better to do but turn a comedy sketch into something racial ..point is white people should just accept the fact slavery happened and it was wrong and inhumane ..and black people should get over it..it happened it cant be undone..so stop complaining ..im sick of seeing racial comments every time i decide to comment on a video..like wtf.Sooverit.com

  • "Would you like to buy some incense?"

OH NO! They're actually...door to door salesmen!

    :O

  • Its a comedy skit but apparently it requires an objective knowledge of history to appreciate.

  • The Nation of Islam are kind of an embarassment.

  • @Shadowdancer21b Please go into details with your racist insults. Qualify how the NOI are an embarrassment.

  • @kybelian It's not racist to be embarrassed by extremists. I think the NOI are short-sighted and misguided, is all. Also a bit too prone to rhetoric. I also appreciate you eloquence, by the way.

  • What does Jim Carrey yell at the end of this sketch?

  • @MrRamses80 I'm pretty sure he said Farrakhan

  • No offense, but the black people in this sketch just messed up star trek. And that's how black people that are too serious about their race can mess things up. And no I am not a racist, but some black people still care about what happened to them about 50 years ago and why should they? equality is now happening in fact it happened a long time ago and most black people these days that are still not over what happened have not even lived in the 50s. So get over it and like white people.

  • @stherianthrope and white people like black people, even though many white people either tolerate or like black people already.

  • @stherianthrope No Offense is usually a prologue to an Offensive statement of which you have proven true.

Whites like you want all to forgive and forget while you continue to live off the legacy of those past injustices.

And Whites never forget a slight as your history proves. Whats 50 years? Or course not all White people feel as you do, just those who say 'No Offense' and 'I am not a racist.'

  • @kybelian I'm not a racist but you are one dumb nigger if I ever saw one. You won't give me any kind of guilt trip because your people were too underdeveloped to fend off a couple of slavers. We're talking generations. I don't plan to be held accountable for the wrong doings of my ancestors. Your ancestors got owned in every sense of the word. Are you mad at them? FYI, if we go back a bit, your ancestors are my ancestors, that makes us one big family. Accept it or die unhappy.

  • @Meurglys33 Fuck you snow monkey I hope you burn. you do have to own up for your ancetors and you will pay. your people are murders and tricksters and that's how you beat us. your from the caves and was savages. your whole history is a lie. you stole everything from the black man. you will pay soon though. the makes of man kind are black, and Negroes are the children of the Most High God. watch.

  • @Meurglys33 And use that N word in person and get your mouth taken off. you bitch ass burning in the sun, lice in your hair wet dog. your from a black man you albino cave monkey. your family kept blacks down for centrys and you do owe bitch.

  • jc @ 1:57 lolololol

  • Funny is, Sulu never got woman ...because he didn't want'em :)

  • a little too stupid and black powerish....

  • @tewkewl you do know that In Living Colour was originally for Black People only right?

  • @leetfeetman no. it was not. it was for a broader audience than that. it brought black culture more into the main stream though. you didn't notice the whites and asian guy in the cast?

  • @tewkewl no no i mean like before the show even started @.@ like when the show was just a concept.. and idea... sorry if i have typos my keyboard is acting up =.= but yah before the show even started it was originally only for blacks... havent you noticed that the first season Jim carrey s the only white guy? then later on they start to bring in more other races?

  • Hey mister you can't come in here and talk to me like that! Hahahaha Jim Carrey at his finest.

  • Pretty funny stuff. Although Kirk would have simply engaged Farrakhan in a fistfight.

  • OMG!!! Wow!!! ;)

  • I think now Sulu would want to get with Silvia... 's chef!

  • FARRAKHAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!

  • After empancipating the crew the first thing Farrakhan does is make Uhuru place a call and get reservations...

    Equality much?

  • bEAN pie, my bra tha...LOL

  • Jim Carey is awesome in the skit.

  • Hahaha one of the best Kirk impressions.

  • Didn't Farrakhan actually say that he was abducted by aliens sometime in the late 80's/early 90's...hmmm....

  • Sulu with a woman? Illogical.

  • Possibly the best "In Living Color" skit, and certainly one of the best Star Trek parodies. Both the Kirk and Farrakhan impressions were spot on, and I damn near pissed myself laughing.

    Thanks for posting.

  • haha Bean pie my brotha?

  • @kkoloftt Thats Wesley Snipes way before he was famous!

  • This is so true. Kirk is like the least qualified person on that ship, yet he runs everything! Spock should be Captain, Sulu should bang somebody, and Uhura should do more than just be a sexy secretary (cant she speak a whole bunch of languages?) Well was definitely a Hollywood show!

  • @Wardfolio Scotty should be the captain, since he always proved he was better at that than as chief engineer in the original series. He also demonstrates his intelligence in this skit by staying below decks and out of the way, LOL.

But, aside from that, I totally agree with you.

  • @Wardfolio just Balance of Terror would be enough to prove Kirk's worth as captain, but other episodes have proved it as well.

I think Spock just prefers his science duties, TBH.

  • @Wardfolio But James T Kirk is the Ultra White Man who is able to hold all the pieces together. Spock is the confused half-breed who serves White colonialists even against his own people (he is rejected because he's a half-breed) Uhura and Nurse Chapel are typical female servants of Male Supremacy. Chekov shows Russian inclusion and submission to American supremacy. Sulu is the subdued Japanese. All of this had to fit White Male Supremacy themes of the time or it wouldnt have aired

  • Notice how they still get bossed around in the end.

  • @BibboTheFirst lol At least the Asian guy gets laid!

  • Spok...Are you out of your vulcan mind?!

  • Wow, you had to watch this (20 year old skit) to figure out Shatner talked like that? :-/

  • Google Translation: ''Got divorced only fourteen clearly told was a hostile climate. Documents are incomplete about today TOBACCO CONTROL SYSTEM. Simple.

Constrained. Something about intergalactic approval sir. Constrained. Japanese in terms of. Well what are you. At a former calypso singer kept them. Who later became a leader of the twentieth century african-american religious sect. Known as the nation's of his life. Led by submits it. Do you have a problem. etc...'' ROFL

  • Jim Carrey does a really good imitation of Kirk!

  • 1:53

The back of your nappy wig.

    In living color was GREAT.

There were some very talented actors on the show.

  • lol i just realised Uhura IS just a secretary in spaaaaace! lol

  • i loved 'in living colour' when i was a kid

  • I dont understand the parody. The characters in TOS doesent move like that at all. Or talk like that.

This is like taking normal movements + normal speech and talking and moving waird and calling it a parody, even thought they havent been exaggerating anything becaus there was nothing to exaggerate to begin with.

  • @faquarl08 Thats because you have no sense of humor. You spend more time looking for parody than watching Jim be funny. You have no life.

  • Are u sarcastic? I just dont think this is funny. But after the first time i watched this, I started noticing that Shatner kinda talks a bit waird. But it is still boring.

  • @faquarl08 thats because...you suck as a person...and wouldn't know a joke if...it busted your balls with a hammer.

  • "answer me this question!" lol

  • I wanna do the nasty!

  • lmao

  • 2:41-3:00 OMG I literally got out of my chair and ran out of my room laughing.

  • this is too funny! in living color was legendary!

  • HAHAHA Jim carrey is so funny! He's so good as kirk!

    "Who? Are you?" lol

  • the funniest parts is when jim carrey talks also

  • famous faces

  • My favorite part is 3:18

  • @galvaton10000 so true

  • The Wrath of Farrakhan!

  • haaahaa

  • You're occasional chocolate fantasy XD fuckin funny shit

  • bean pie my brother?

  • Haha that was amazing. It was actually in good taste too, unlike so many Star Trek parodies.

  • im a lil trekish, so i'll point this out: Uhara in the series was 2nd in line to captain after Spock

  • @LeonardoHuizar She was a lieutenant. You still had a couple of Lieutenant Commanders on board. McCoy, Scotty. They would have been up after Spock, who was a Commander. Guess the trekkie gets in the blood. ;)

  • Yeah but its the Doctor, and the head of engineering, Uhura is way more qualified since she can already speak several alien languages. I also dont get why its making Kirk look like a racist since he bangs every interspecies girls in the known alpha quadrant and doesnt exacty hide the fact. Also it Spock in the series was the only Vulcan in starfleet, and logically speaking do vulcans care if they lead an Earth Ship since they already have their own fleet

  • @LeonardoHuizar

Scotty was always left in command when Kirk and Spock were off the ship or indisposed. Uhura was never left in command to my knowledge. Sulu was once or twice as well. Uhura wouldn't have had the experience or command chops necessary to fill the role of captain.

  • SPOCK are you out of you "Volcan mind"???

    lol

  • See the model of the Enterprise they're using? That was a 1977 design by Ralph McQuarry, the man responsible for the STAR WARS look, for the Enterprise "refit" of the proposed Star Trek II TV series, which eventually morphed into ST: The Motion Picture in '79. Thank God they decided to stick with Matt Jeffries' basic design instead. (On the other hand, if you can find an unassembled example of that kit today, it's probably worth a lot of money as a collector's item!)

  • this show was hot back in the day

  • FARRAKHAAAAN!

  • @biped19 Go To Your Room!

  • hilarious. Jim Carrey at his best!

  • O'Hura was hot!!

  • spoc are you out of your volcon mind

  • "Can't ya see it's discrimination?!" I LOVE THAT GUY. ....WHOEVER HE IS.

And where the hell is McCoy in all this?

  • Yes, brilliant in many ways! Warp factor 5 my horny Asian brother! I remember seeing this for the firs time, still brill!

  • Spock, are you out of your Vulkin mind?

  • This is so brilliant, in many ways.

  • When you remembber a comedy sketch for 15 years you know its funny! Doesnt that thing in Ohuru's ear look like a bluetooth? "My Nubian Sister!"

  • "I'm also a better a director than you."

    OUCH!

  • wow that sucks....

  • spelling fail its spock

  • sponk are u out of ur folcan mind?! 3:35

  • Well then my horny Asain brother, warp factor five.

Too funny. One of the best ILC skits.

  • This is one of all time favorite skits, only samurai delicatessen is better.

  • poop

  • Farrakhan takes over the whole ship! lol. He is very persuasive.

  • Have guys ever see the then unknown Jennifer Lopez as one of the Fly Girls dancers in the show's opening credits?

  • ...Vulcan mind....vulcan.....

  • When that asian guy said he wanted to do the nasty his smile was so cute I always orgasmed.

  • this truly is amazing n i still love star trek

  • Err i thought sulus gay

  • this was made long before sulu came out of the closet

  • @vonfeltz68

if you watch season 1, episode 1 of TOS, we see Sulu hanging with a chick in a room tending to his flowers.

  • @vonfeltz68 that would explain why sulu came out of the closet he took all the girls

  • The actor is gay NOT the character.

  • Back when I saw this I knew who Farrakhan was but didn't get the Jeffersons joke until years later.

  • i learned a new racist term....pieface

  • Wow, I was excited to see Jim Carrey doing Shatner's Kirk and was not disappointed, but man the In Living Color slant to the whole Trek parody was the best part! Those jokes were way off base, and oh so freakin funny! And I see Minister Farrakhan joined his "Mothership" in space, lmfao that was some good stuff! Nice post!

  • And I'm also, a better director than you.

    BRILLIANT!

  • LOL...I love how jim carrey is trying to shush her about his "chocolate fantasy" at 2:12!!!!

  • XD

    LMFAO!

"All i see is the back of your nappy wig!"

  • hahaha

  • i love jim carrey

  • can you believe i have NEVER seen star trek before but im a scifi geek?!

  • You don't know what you're missing! I'm a Star Trek fan who's never seen Star Wars--until a few weeks ago, and it was the best sci-fi decision I made!

  • Until 4 weeks ago, I was the same.

someone told me they were shocked!

    So I looked into it...

Now I have all the movies XD Its really all its cracked up to be!

  • "Are you out of your fulkan mind?!

  • She is HOT man

  • At times Damon Wayans looks like he is trying not to laugh

  • He is, lol how can you not laugh around this genius comedy

  • "I am also a better director that you."

    XDDD so true....

  • "Why do you say 'we', cocoazoid?" ROFL.

I remember this skit made the FOX 'suits' a bit nervous, so they gambled and I'm glad it paid off. This was really funny. Thanks for posting.

  • "i wanna do the nasty!!!!" HAHAHAHA!!!!!!

  • Hahaha hilarious, are you out of your Vulcan mind?!

  • OMG Jim Carrey was amazing!

  • Is that Damon Wayans as Farrakhan?.

  • Yes it is.:)

  • and that's how Obama became President. True story.....logically speaking.

  • I want to do the nasty! haha

  • Captain Kirk or Regis Philbin?

  • that was great.

  • I got this on dvd. I watch it two or three times every once in a while.

  • "and 25 years of the Jeffersons in syndication!" LOLZ!

Jim Carrey is a great Kirk and he really plays up the UST with Spock! Two thumbs way way up :D

  • Star Trek TOS one of the greatest TV shows of all time, has to be the most parodied TV show of all time.

  • Occasional chocolate fantasy

  • I don't really understand the point in this (being from the old hemisphere, as they say), except the oppressed minorities taking over, which is doubly funny I guess since Star Trek was the first show to depict (not have, execs like Lucille Ball were against it, wouldn't work on US primetime in the 60s) a multinational crew of people working together for the good of all mankind. They took on good subjects, only sci-fi could do that, as it was thought of as "infantile."

  • classic. simply classic.

  • its just a skit man calm down

  • its called comedy.

  • Jim Carrey is a geniuos.

  • Carrey's Shatner was dead on. It's amazing that this show wasn't on all that long ago but no one would dare try humor like this today.

  • are you out of your.. vulcan mind!

  • Righto my horny asain bother!!!

  • show is In Living Color not SNL

  • Yes you're right, it was on IN LIVING COLOR. THANKS.

    My bad.
