The rates of "above average" (whatever that means) people is certainly dependent on degree. Of course engineering degrees are smart but they usually are lacking in social/business skills. I've taken a couple proper IQ tests and scored rather high. But ultimately common sense is adequate in 90% of situations. I do think "average" intelligence has decreased though.

I had a 91 or so average graduating high school, and that was with extremely minimal effort. The idea that so many are failing out of public schools is both scary and unrelatable to me. It is just not that difficult. Just as you say.

I am only 19 so when I took my first one it has alot of puzzles and little things that I wasnt great at, but I have been practicing these puzzles that appear in almost every IQ test, and as I study them I learn more. People wont always get the same score, I took one when I was about 14 and I got 110, it is also very dependant on age groups

The rates of "above average" (whatever that means) people is certainly dependent on degree. Of course engineering degrees are smart but they usually are lacking in social/business skills. I've taken a couple proper IQ tests and scored rather high. But ultimately common sense is adequate in 90% of situations. I do think "average" intelligence has decreased though.

@TomJackson986 I have attention deficit. Interestingly many who have ADD do score higher than average on IQ tests and are often the more gifted students. We are bombarded with stimuli and I think this is the main cause, though it is hereditary as well.
I had a 91 or so average graduating high school, and that was with extremely minimal effort. The idea that so many are failing out of public schools is both scary and unrelatable to me. It is just not that difficult. Just as you say.

Simple as that, and like 91 is below average, the average is 100 and every IQ outcome is different depending on the age group, the averages change. So if you got a 91 out of highschool than thats actually kinda low. Im 19 and my IQ is about 130 and I know Ill get a higher score on the second one.

We needn't emphasize IQ that much anyways. That's why Forrest Gump is one of my all-time favorite movies. It's essentially a slap in the face to "normal" people who are filled with excuse after excuse. Gump was not "smart enough" to think of or make excuses, and therefore they never held him back.

@TomJackson986 And given that IQ tests are aptitude tests your first score is likely the most accurate one. IQ is not really a measurement of knowledge. In theory you cannot study for a higher a IQ tests. Many other factors attribute to differing scores and the same person can score higher, or lower, than their previous score. And IQ is NOT dependent on age. IQ tests are made for specific age groups, and therefore they are mostly transferable among different age groups.

I am only 19 so when I took my first one it has alot of puzzles and little things that I wasnt great at, but I have been practicing these puzzles that appear in almost every IQ test, and as I study them I learn more. People wont always get the same score, I took one when I was about 14 and I got 110, it is also very dependant on age groups
