You gotta be kidding me. The radon that comes from vegetables (in ppm) is higher than the radon that comes from granite.

Of course, I am assuming that your vegetables are grown in soil rather than hydroponically in a controlled environment.

Please beware of videos posted by TCSRock78. They promote misinformation and he will not allow corrections to be posted. Thank God someone else has said exactly what I've been saying for months now....TCSRock78 also is involved in the sale of both granite and silestone style counter materials. Angle much?

I agree with him that there is a modicum of care that should be used when manufacturing countertops to make sure they are below a standard of some kind. He is correct that there ought to be better standards set aside by someone...who I'm not sure.

I agree that individuals cutting and processing countertops should be monitored and perhaps be required to wear some respiratory protection but there is very low risk to the end user. Abt 2500 out of 10000 people will be diagnosed with cancer without any radiation exposure above normal bkgd. An additional 3-4 MAY be diagnosed with cancer if all 10000 are exposed to 1,000,000 microrem or 1000 mrem each year for 30 years. TCSRock78 shouldn't drive if he thinks this risk level is not acceptable.
