Thank you so much this video helped so much! I am getting a new horse in a couple weeks, shes only 3 and i dont think she has ever been loaded before, and shes my first horse so i have never loaded before, this video was a great walkthrough!
can i just say that i absolutly adore this woman. shes so lovely and soft spoken. she really makes you feel like your both on the same page and shes not at all patronising....
Is there a reason the white lead rope was left attached to the horse's halter? It seems to me like it would just be easier to take it off entirely instead of leaving it clipped to the halter and then tucking it into the bars of the divider.
@jayellesee i believe that its there so that way she could settle him easier if he was getting to hyper & when she opens up the trailer door, undoes the gate thing xD i can't think of the name of it,then she has something to hang on to & she doesn't have 2 put 1 on later
@kikiza123 if my first tip didnt work: if u get a realy long lead rope attach it to the headcollar/halter and stand at the top of the ramp at the side tap the leadrpe slighty, not pulling just that it encourages the horse to walk on, then the horse may walk on up to the top of the trailer if he/she refuses to go in the trailer and starts pulling or rearing do not worry stay carm and safe, stand your ground and donot move, keeping this positive and carm energy may make the horse cure . :)
my horse wont load at all my first time trying to load her she got in i forgot to put up the front bar up and she went right through the escape door for the person to get out of scared the crap outta me since i was in front of her
my pony has been refusing alot lately to go in our trailer. She never used to and has not had any bad experiances in the trailer, no matter how calm i stay she just stands there and wont move to go in to it
As you load her into the float get a friend or family member to tap her on the rump with a crop/whip to keep her walking up into it. And if that doesnt work offer her food. (:
my horse can't stand any pressure on the back of his head. so when we go to load in the traler he stops and wont go in. if i put pressure he wiggs out backwards. I get nervous about his hooves by my head.
ok so tomarrow i have to leave for camp and i cant get my horse in. and if i cant get her in i cant go 2 camp so any advice she put in 2 feet thats it i need help asap
if u attach it 2 the bars n the horse rears it could break its neck so never do dat just take it of n always attach the lead rope to twiling so if it gets in a state it doesnt break it neck remeber dat everyone x
