There are NO historical models -none- that prove austerity = growth. Forget Keynesian...forget Austrian. Focus on specific, non-ideological reactionary dogma. @moseybear If you think the fiscal stimulus ended the Great Depression then it is highly doubtful you have ever read a history book. Ever heard of the Depression of 1921? Probably not, most people haven't. Know why? Because the government did nothing, it corrected itself and it was over in less than a year. Instead of doing the same thing in 1929 the government meddled and initiated programs and fiscal stimulus. They did everything wrong and prolonged it by more than 15 years.
