@bro5b They aired in 2004 during the World Series and the Olympics. My dad lives in TX and he saw them (just the "Bump" one maybe) but mostly during those two sporting events.

Sadly the name Corvette was not derived from an American source. Corvette's were a class of ships in the Royal British Navy in the 1940's. They were small and fast, and that's were the car got it's name. .

Did you know that "corvette" is an Old French word, derived from the Middle Dutch word "corf".

Well your right and your wrong. The Corvette class of ship was originally brought about by the British but it was also manufactured by Canada and the Corvette "label" of ships has been around since sailing ships. I believe the U.S probably had their own Corvette class of ships, but who knows what actual Corvette they named it after.
