Problem with the Sartso jeans is that they are useless in a crash, CE abrasion testing gets them at 1.4 seconds of abrasion resistance compared to the Draggin's 4.4 seconds or in CE approval territory with good leather.
@TheDangermouse007 I'm still disappointed as to how my draggin's managed to get a hole in them from not a lot of use. The denim feels a lot thinner and there's not provision for amour in the jeans I had. Can you link me the findings to the test, since my jeans were fine after 2 offs at 10-20mph, so I'm solely relying on empirical evidence to substantiate my findings - it's pretty subjective as a result
Nice vid, thanks for the review. What's your opinion on Hood Jeans? Seems like these Sartso's might be better, given the lower price and inserts for armor. I think Hood just have a velcro strip in the knees for armor. Thoughts?
In summer, leathers will be totally stuffy! When I used to commute from Barnet to TCR in summer, I would prefer to wear jeans since when I chose to ride in with my 1 piece, it just totally sucked.
What's your opinion on kevlar jeans vs leathers? Just starting to ride and wondering what I should get. I'll only been commuting round London. Hein Gericke leathers cost the same amount as the Sartso jeans.
They'll be fine. I'm a 32 in most jeans sizes, and this fits true to size. They will fit loosely around your hips and remain comfortable. They won't slide down if you forget to wear a belt.
I've been wearing them for 2 weeks now without washing! BUT they don't smell! I'm going to have to put up with the draggins next week when I go to work... This is VERY comfortable to wear as a day in, day out pair of jeans!
