Alexandria is the female equivolent of Alexander and it's easier on the tongue to say, the Asking part was thrown in bc there was already a band called Alexandria. But they chose the name because at one point, Alexander controlled the known world and everyone knew who he was and AA wants to do the same, but through their music.
