@kelleyminor I'm so glad it helped you. Your post reallu touched me and my husband. I hope your daughters' surgeries went well. I know how hard it is. It never gets easier. My husband and I cried everytime they took her away for surgery, but it helps knowing that she is in good hands.

I'm 23 and i was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate also ive had over 10 surgeries to fix it, i know how it is and the tech these days is incredible! the video is wonderful and your daughter is gorgeous. congrats

Hi im a mother of three boys one who was born with a cleft lip and palate I wanted to know if she had to have bone graphing done? My sons has had six surgeries so far and he is 5.

@mzcashmere87 Hi, she will have a bone graph in 1-2 years. They are waiting for certain adult teeth to grow in first. They will remove some bones from her hip, crush them, then fill in her gumlines with them. My daughter had 2 surgeries by the age of 1. She had three last year. She will be 7 this summer. She will also eventually have jaw surgery and other cosmetics performed when she is in high school.
