France played New Zealand in the Rugby World Cup Final on Sunday. Whilst I have no absolutely regrets about the result, the French played a great game and I thoroughly enjoyed hearing the The Marseillaise before the match.

@kris232ful Deal with it. If Europeans have the time and patience to learn languages besides their own, so can Americans. Most Germans speak flawless English, Many of the French do to. Other Nations in Europe also bother to learn English. I myself am studying Arabic. (Also attempting to teach myself German but that's not going as well.)

Hello, and greetings from the United States. I just want to say a few things because of a great many comments across youtube from ignorant Americans, insulting your great nation. Many people in the United States sadly are unaware that many of the great ideals our nation was founded upon came from France. (Montesquieu, with Democracy, Voltaire with freedom of thought and speech, etc,.) Lastly during WW2 your nation fought bravely against overwhelmeing odds, so don't worry!

Second of all if you think the United States or any other nation could survive on it's own against Germany during the beggining of world war 2 then you are seriously misled. France fought bravely and in contrast to common belief did not lay down arms, until Nazi Germany was annihalated. French farmers, milk men, other ordinary civilians, and former soldiers fought a war of resistance against the German Regime until the end of the war. Thank you, A "Yank"

I also respectfully disagree with your statement that only soldiers win wars. Many French soldiers from world war 2 would disagree with that statement, and so would former resistance members. In fact many nations are vanguished by the citizens of the nation they occupy in guerilla style warfare.

Many people in the United States sadly are unaware that many of the great ideals our nation was founded upon came from France. (Montesquieu, with Democracy, Voltaire with freedom of thought and speech, etc,.) Lastly during WW2 your nation fought bravely against overwhelmeing odds, so don't worry!

Second of all if you think the United States or any other nation could survive on it's own against Germany during the beggining of world war 2 then you are seriously misled. France fought bravely and in contrast to common belief did not lay down arms, until Nazi Germany was annihalated. French farmers, milk men, other ordinary civilians, and former soldiers fought a war of resistance against the German Regime until the end of the war. Thank you, A "Yank"

I also respectfully disagree with your statement that only soldiers win wars. Many French soldiers from world war 2 would disagree with that statement, and so would former resistance members. In fact many nations are vanguished by the citizens of the nation they occupy in guerilla style warfare.

France's political theorists however were the ones who started the ideas in the first place. They should be honored instead in my opinion.
