  • I love this video! Where did you get you're Cimbasso from? I am thinkin about purchasing one and I was looking for some good input.

  • Wow.

I wanna Skype my Bad Bari Sax playing with you guys next Christmas Season.

It could be the first hol-E-day concert on the web!!!

    :)

  • Sorry CIMBASSO

  • WOAH! I've never seen a simbaso, it's so.... strange, but cool!

  • Thanks drdougjue. Intonation could be better yet. I was doing my best with an instrument that was somewhat unfamiliar to me, and I was lipping most of the notes to tune to McLemore - who by the way was on top most of the time. Usually the player on top would adjust to the bottom part, but as I said before in this case, the tuba part was recorded first with a click track embedded in the video. David McLemore and I are going to re-record this for YouTube as time permits. Thanks for your input.

  • This recording makes good illustrations for music teachers. It can be used to illustrate timbre and the sounds of conical vs cylindrical instruments. It should also be noted that the tuba was constantly tuning its note while the cimbasso did not. That is why the cimbasso does not get as good an intonation as the bass trombone and the tuba.

  • That Kalison sounds great! I'd always had the idea that all their horns were tubby (based on the DS!). How's the intonation on it?

  • @contrabassbob good!
