As much as I like what Snape did for Harry - lets be honest - he did it for Lily. If Harry had no relation to Lily, he couldn't care less about Harry, he would have protected Lily's child, whoever it was, because he betrayed her and wanted to repay her - its nothing to do with Harry.
Question. Do you think Snape felt attracted to Harry in some way because of Lily's eyes? In the first movie, the way he looks at him and the last movie when he says Look at me..You have your mother's eyes, also in his memories, Dumbledore says He has her eyes, Severus and then Snape looked up really fast. I think Snarry existed one way or another.
@Schokokekzzii1 she didn't go with severus because one day he was getting picked on by James. He grew so outraged he accidentally took it out on Lily.He called her a mudblood-a terrible slur to muggleborn witches/wizards (like calling a black person teh "N" word").Ever since then, she had the misconception that he didn't really like her and thought she had no chance with him.So she settled for 2nd best.It was mentioned in the book and movie.
@BlueFlowwer Do you not remember all the times he picked on Severus and made his life pretty much a living hell??? I do like James, I really do, but I do feel that he was not mature as u think he was. Him, Sirius, Remus, and Peter. All four picked on poor Severus. It may be ur opinion but many of us believe Sev didn't deserve to die, and we are glad Harry did him such an honor to remember him.
@BlueFlowwer No it certainly does not justify Snape picking on students, but in my eyes I look at it from a diff POV. I think he was a fair teacher, beause many picked on Slytherins for simly being Slytherin. Like I SAID I do like James and Siriis and Remus, and I believe that James did grow up, but I still say Snape deserves an honor. WOuld YOU be able to live his life, watching over the progeny of your love and hate, being reminded of your past, of your mistakes?
@BlueFlowwer Eh I guess that's how u see it but many see him as a hero. I've been on his side since the beginning, and I think it was more when he called her Mudblood that destroyed their friendship. But then, I think Lily should have forgiven him when he apologized to her.
@BlueFlowwer No, he never did show any remorse to calling others mudblood, but Severus is Severus. I guess he wouldn't be who he is without his opinions, or his past mistakes. But either way, I guess you won't change your opinion, but I won't change mine either. I think Sevvy is the best, (of course he's only ONE of my favorites, i don't have a top fav) and you don;t.

@JessicaHayes02 it doesn't matter that they didn't deserved it. those men meant much to harry. that's why he did it. it's not like you'll have to name your children to one of them...
Snape died a death he didn't deserve. It should be mentioned that he came from a farily disadvantaged background in contrast to James. Despite that, Snape did the right thing getting no recognition whatsoever for it. James had a loving family by the sounds of it and still couldn't be a nice guy (at 17 when he should have known better he was still being a jerk to Snape)
I don't know what either of them saw in Lily but Snape deserved love, just because of what he did for Harry.
Great video. I just want to say this "to change and to improve are two different things" James changed his behaviour for Lily, he didn't actually improve it. In regards to the Prince's Tale, was it year 6 or 7, that SNape referred to Hermione as a mudblood, either way, I don't personally feel as if either learnt their lesson in being nice. BUT SNape spent the rest of his life fighting the Dark Arts basically anonymously all the meanwhile being hated by everybody.
Lily has been making ecxuses fotr Snape for years, not wanting to lose
the first friend she had. But then Snape, after being helped by Lily slaps a "mudblood" straight in her face as thanks. Their relationship where already
on rocky grunds and they where going different ways, Lily to oppose LV and Snape to join him. That rasical slur where the final straw and Lily ended their relationship because she couldn`t lie to herself anymore about Snape being a good guy!
@SareksGirl, witches and wizards have to hide their true nature all the time or risk having their powers taken from them, or even being thrown into Azkban(worse than any muggle prison because it destroys your spirit thoroughly) so have you ever considered what a hideous police-state gone crazy they live under? I don't think Voldemort was a good guy but I can see why some witches and wizards, especially those bullied by their own kind, might want to turn the tables on muggle dominance.
However I am fully aware that Snape`s action in the later life is admirable and I where moved to tears when I read The Prince`s Tale. He is an complex character that is very brave. However I still stand by that Snape lost his chance with Lily when he got so close with the future death eathers and in the end calling Lily a mudblood. It is a moving thing that he protected Harry though all
these years. But Lily/Snape would never have worked in the end.
Snape truly is my hero. However it killed me when he died. And I absolutely lost it when he said, "You have your mother's eyes." Why couldn't Lily just forgive him? I would've.
@BlueFlowwer Indeed, he did call her a mudblood, and it was wrong of him to do so. But he tried to make up for it. I mean, he waited outside the Gryffindor common room all night so that he could apologize to her. He even got down on his knees and begged her to forgive him. Now to me, that's romantic, and i would've forgiven him.
@BlueFlowwer Ah yes, the death eaters. I feel that his time with them could have been nonexistent if Lily had forgiven him. You see, if she had forgiven him, they could have eventually fallen in love where Severus, hoping not to lose Lily again, would have left his Death Eater friends for her. Just think about it.............Harry could have been Snape's child. Sends a chill down your spine, doesn't it? : )
@BlueFlowwer He got down on his knees. What's not sincere about that? He literally sacrificed what dignity he had left and begged for her forgiveness, but loving Lily suddenly turned cold hearted and wouldn't give him a second chance. I'm not denying that Snape wasn't a villian at some point because he was, hence Alan Rickman's fine acting, but you're stating that he wasn't a hero at all. I'm stating that his villanry could've been bypassed if Lily would've forgiven him.
@BlueFlowwer Snape made some bad choices in his life. Everyone has at some point, but do we automatically label them as villians? A perfect example would be criminals. Many spend long years in jail remembering their mistakes. Very few, like Severus, regret what they've done and turn their lives around. Others, like Lucius, remain rebellious, and never learn from their mistakes. and yes, Snape was selfish for just wanting Lily alive, but at least he did something, other than nothing at all.
Respond to this video...He left the group when he discovered what Voldemort was going to do b/c he LOVED her, and yes, there were difficult choices to make: save Lily, the woman he loved, or save a child that wasn't even his? It's like asking a police officer to choose between saving his partner or saving an innocent citizen. He followed his heart, and chose what he thought was right. And Dumbledore found his choice disgusting, but if you recall, Dumbledore wasn't exactly a saint either.
@BlueFlowwer Dumbledore sacrificed his own sister, and he called Snape disgusting? What a hypocrite. As for the child being sacrificed? If you think about it historically, this is not surprising. If you recall the biblical story of Abraham and Isaac
God gave Abraham the difficult task of taking his son Isaac to the land of Moriah and setting him on fire. Wanting to prove his obedience to God, Abraham to his son to the mountain the next morning, where he tied his son up and laid him on the wood.
@BlueFlowwer Just before he was about to slice his own son's throat, an angel reached out and stopped him. He had proven his obedience, and therefore, his son could live. Dumbledore could've stopped the slaughter of a precious lamb and her family. He had the Elder wand! He could've defeated Voldemort and saved innocent people from dying a horrible death. And he wouldn't just b/c the prophecy said so. Who's the selfish one now?
@BlueFlowwer In my opinion, Snape is a hero b/c he helped Harry in many ways. For example: His counter curse saved Harry from falling off his broom in the second book, and his patronus lead Harry to the sword of Gryffindor in the lake. Would Harry really have found it on his own? Probably not. Therefore, I believe Snape is an angel in the dark. So you keep on believing that Snape is a villan, and I'll keep believing that he's a hero b/c I know that nothing we say will change the other's mind.
@BlueFlowwer She made excuses for him? I do not recall this. I remember that she stuck up for him when he was teased by James, which also reminds me that James wasn't any better than Snape, and yet, she gave him a second chance and ended up marrying him. She gave no second chance to Snape, therefore, he joined Voldemort's crew b/c he basically had nowhere else to go. No one else to turn to. I agree that the idea of Snape/Lily would not have worked in Rowling's writing.
@BlueFlowwer Snape is the type that lives a lonely life, and a hard life at that. And everyone knows that these books contain life lessons to them. The fact that Lily didn't forgive him is just one of them. Even Snape states it himself.............."Life isn't fair." However deep in my heart, I think Snape and Lily could've worked. I know it's a weird combination. One light, caring, and happy. The other dark and melancholy. But have you ever heard the saying "Opposites attract?"
@BlueFlowwer But I respect your opinion on the matter and thank you for this conversation. I see where you're coming from on the whole Snape/Lily thing not going to work, but deep down I wished it could've been b/c Lord knows Snape deserved some happiness. Oh! The joining Voldemort thing? My theory is that he was pressured by his peers, Lucius mainly. But that's just me.
@SareksGirl Snape calling Lily mudblood at school where the last straw. He had been
hanging around death eather jrs for many years and they where heading into opposite
directions. All these years he had said that being muggleborn where nothing wrong. Then
when their friendship where on a rocky grund, she comes to defend him from James. She even called James an arrogant toerag. How do Snape thanks her for that?
@BlueFlowwer Oh that is right. He throws the most rasical slur in the wizarding world
straight in her face. Lily who has been making excuses or him for years and thought of him as a friend when no one else did, gets a "mudblood" from him. That has to be the worst backstab I have ever read. Then outside
the G commonroom, she tells him that "He can`t wait to join Voldemort, can he"? Snape doesn`t deny it. Lily then asks why she is the only exception to him?
@BlueFlowwer Lily wasn`t taking Snape calling other muggleborns mudblood except
her. She doesn`t want to sacrifice her character and dignity by still hanging out with someone that considers every other one from her backgrund subhuman. Lily has no obligation to stand by Snape like that. She doesn`t want to get dragged down with him. Snape is the one that should have changed his opinion, not Lily. She doesn`t have to save a person that dosn`t wants to be saved in the first place!
@BlueFlowwer Now I have explained my side over and over again. I am a Slytherin by heart, but I also believe that ALL can be forgiven. If I were Lily, I would've forgiven him, b/c we all know that he was heading down a bad path, and she could've helped him. But it doesn't make a difference now b/c they're both dead and gone so maybe now she can forgive him in paradise. No character is labeled as either bad or good. JK Rowling said it her self. All of her characters have a difficult past.
@BlueFlowwer He had just got his pants pulled down in front of the entire school thanks to James so yeah, he's going to be a little ticked off, and he didn't want to seem like a pussy when a girl defended him. He had to save what little dignity he had left. You have to see it his way. If he would've allowed a Gryffindor to stand up for him, not only would he be made fun of by the Gryffindors but also the Slytherins, which would leave him with absolutely no friends. He'd have Lily.
@BlueFlowwer But Lily didn't even care about him when they got older. She may have defended him, but if she had been successful, he would've followed her around like a lost puppy and she wouldn't have cared. She didn't give a damn about him. Yeah, she called James an arrogant toerag, but who did she end up marrying in the end? I believe the name is James Potter, who according to her, was no better than Snape. Snape made a mistake, and he APOLOGIZED for it, and Lily told him to save his breath.
@BlueFlowwer Her friends didn't understand why she even talked to him. I still believe he was peer pressured by other Slytherins. People act differently with certain groups. And apparently, Snape's time with Voldemort became an advantage, playing a triple agent and all. If you saw the last movie, you would catch the double meaning of the elder wand when Voldemort was talking with Snape. To quote Voldemort, "The wand resists me, b/c I am not it's true master."
@BlueFlowwer LOL!!!!! You didn't win. I typed the Voldemort argument late at night. Hell, I'm just getting started. : ) Let's debate for the rest of our lives!! Now...........The only reason snape bullied Harry was b/c Harry was the spitting image of James, who was Snape's bully throughout his years at Hogwarts. Do you have any idea how much pain is bottled up inside of that man? Or do you share no sympathy for someone who was the victim of bullying? Usually children who are bullied have........
@BlueFlowwer ..........a tendency to push away help from loved ones. Again, Snape wanting to save what little dignity he had left by pushing away Lily's help, or insulting her. I don't deny that he insulted her; I confess that I've insulted my friends before, but they eventually got over it. The problem w/ Lily? She made other more "popular" friends, and totally forgot about her very first in the wizarding world. So she ended up with the better man. Big deal. He just repented his sins B 4 Snape.
@BlueFlowwer so what? Snape dabbled in the dark arts. He was just a teen who was curious about something bad, and then was supported by his Slytherin peers that it was something good. Read between the lines. Lily DID have more popular friends who didn't approve of Snape so basically, Lily was ending the relationship anyway. The whole mudblood thing was the perfect excuse to end it. Where do you thing he learned the word anyway? From Lucius perhaps? Exactly where Draco heard it from.
@BlueFlowwer And so you believe that Lily chose the better man by being w/ James and not Snape. Well then that's her loss. There was no doubt that Snape loved her, or can the book prove me wrong on that? In fact in the movie, I'm surprised that Snape didn't kick the dead James as he walked through the house to find Lily. I certainly wouldn't blame him if he had though. And the part where he's holding Lily's dead body? Tear jerker.
@BlueFlowwer Back on to the mudblood thing. You have to keep in mind that Lily is 15 at the time so she's probably going through puberty, PMSing, and having some emotional problems so any little thing could tick her off. The huge fact that Snape called her a mudblood puts him on her s*** list for life. And I may get off topic a little only because I'm sensing that you still believe Snape is the villain. Maybe. But this villain found his core and helped protect her son.
@BlueFlowwer Indeed, we have been arguing for a very long time, and it's quite obvious that we have different opinions that aren't going to change. It's useless to continue an unending battle. *relieved sigh* So I'll return to my videos and fanfiction, dreaming about what life would've been like if they had been together. Your arguments were clear and logical, and I see your points. But I just can't bring myself to think the same way. I'd rather make a HP friend than an enemy. Good day to you!^^
@BlueFlowwer Ah yes, the death eaters. : )
I love what you wrote in your descriptions box. I'm writing a poem about Snape and I hope to make it into a video and upload it to here on youtube when it's done.
Anyone who watched the third movie had to know that Snape wasn't a bad guy. Seriously, what bad guy throws himself in front of three kids to keep them from getting bitten by a werewolf? Especially since he already had that run-in with Lupin's wolf form, he had to be scared out of his wits, but he was still willing to sacrifice himself for them.
ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS, EVEN THE WORDS, "AVADA KEDAVRA!"
i love snape and harry i think if snape had lived he and harry would have got along , He needede to give harry a chance and harry needed to give snape a chance to . harry was more like his mum then dad ( thank god )
@14xxlittleangelxx14 yeah for sure, James was such a douche in the memories... he was more of a slytherin than a gryffindor type of person considering he bullied snape around..
@Italianboy225 If James were to be a slytherin, he would become the next voldemort in line, Harry can just kick the asshole straight to the kingdom of Snape
I do agree that Harry is a bit stupid, especially compared to his mother and Snape. But you have to remember that he's only a kid, he's not going to know everything. Despite Snape being a hero and selfless when it matters the most, he's a bully.....taking his frustrations out on those who can't do anything back. But he's a great character because it shows that even the "greatest" of us are still human, still have their issues that they haven't overcome.
Amazing vid :D Perfectly composed :) And Snape/Lily bond never died he did everything he did for her :) He hated Harry only 'couse of his looks but deep inside he knew he was like his mother and tried to surpress his affection for his :)
Putting himself in danger like that he always protected everyone :( A double spy :( His life in constant danger ;(
I really like this video since personally I LOVE Snape. Even before the Death Hallow told us the whole story of Snape, I believe that Snape must be some good guy. Nice capture of the expressions of Snape. Feel pity for him and Lily. >_<
@thejurassicman More then likely the idiots who do that, have only watched the movies. Even if that was the case, the movies had more hints (albeit subtle ones) that snape was good.
Wonderful vid! I loved Snape from the very beginning, always feeling the love and dedication behind his cold mask. I'm really glad he turned out to be the hero I couldn't have even imagined...

@AddictedxToxLIFE So that justisifies Snape picking
on his students as an adult? I have given evidence that James
grew up from his bullying ways and fought for justice, and won Lily

Remus didn't pick on him, btw, that was James and Sirius doing.

Snape truly is my hero. However it killed me when he died. And I absolutely lost it when he said, "You have your mother's eyes." Why couldn't Lily just forgive him? I would've.
SareksGirl 6 months ago
@SareksGirl Really, he called her a mudblood and every muggleborn there where,
Lily dropped him was a good thing.
BlueFlowwer 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer Indeed, he did call her a mudblood, and it was wrong of him to do so. But he tried to make up for it. I mean, he waited outside the Gryffindor common room all night so that he could apologize to her. He even got down on his knees and begged her to forgive him. Now to me, that's romantic, and i would've forgiven him.
SareksGirl 4 months ago
@SareksGirl and then he went along with the death eaters and didn`t care a nift wheter or not
her baby boy was murdered, yes truly a hero...
BlueFlowwer 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer Have you even read the books?
Aldrea2006 4 months ago
@Aldrea2006 Do you think that I would be saying this
without having arguments that backed it up from the book? Read The Prince`s Tale again...
BlueFlowwer 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer Ah yes, the death eaters. I feel that his time with them could have been nonexistent if Lily had forgiven him. You see, if she had forgiven him, they could have eventually fallen in love where Severus, hoping not to lose Lily again, would have left his Death Eater friends for her. Just think about it.............Harry could have been Snape's child. Sends a chill down your spine, doesn't it? : )
SareksGirl 4 months ago
@SareksGirl If he had been serene with his appology then he
would not have joined the Voldemort and co in the first place, he only
came back when it was Lilys life on the line, her being heartbroken about her husband and
BABY didn`t matter. Even Dumbledore thought that he where disgusting.
Take it like this: A jewish girl in early 1930s is friend with a boy who has nazisic thoughts
and he drawn to them even it he liked her. In the end he is about to join SS what does she do then?
BlueFlowwer 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer He got down on his knees. What's not sincere about that? He literally sacrificed what dignity he had left and begged for her forgiveness, but loving Lily suddenly turned cold hearted and wouldn't give him a second chance. I'm not denying that Snape wasn't a villian at some point because he was, hence Alan Rickman's fine acting, but you're stating that he wasn't a hero at all. I'm stating that his villanry could've been bypassed if Lily would've forgiven him.
SareksGirl 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer Snape made some bad choices in his life. Everyone has at some point, but do we automatically label them as villians? A perfect example would be criminals. Many spend long years in jail remembering their mistakes. Very few, like Severus, regret what they've done and turn their lives around. Others, like Lucius, remain rebellious, and never learn from their mistakes. and yes, Snape was selfish for just wanting Lily alive, but at least he did something, other than nothing at all.
SareksGirl 4 months ago
Respond to this video...He left the group when he discovered what Voldemort was going to do b/c he LOVED her, and yes, there were difficult choices to make: save Lily, the woman he loved, or save a child that wasn't even his? It's like asking a police officer to choose between saving his partner or saving an innocent citizen. He followed his heart, and chose what he thought was right. And Dumbledore found his choice disgusting, but if you recall, Dumbledore wasn't exactly a saint either.
SareksGirl 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer Dumbledore sacrificed his own sister, and he called Snape disgusting? What a hypocrite. As for the child being sacrificed? If you think about it historically, this is not surprising. If you recall the biblical story of Abraham and Isaac
God gave Abraham the difficult task of taking his son Isaac to the land of Moriah and setting him on fire. Wanting to prove his obedience to God, Abraham to his son to the mountain the next morning, where he tied his son up and laid him on the wood.
SareksGirl 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer Just before he was about to slice his own son's throat, an angel reached out and stopped him. He had proven his obedience, and therefore, his son could live. Dumbledore could've stopped the slaughter of a precious lamb and her family. He had the Elder wand! He could've defeated Voldemort and saved innocent people from dying a horrible death. And he wouldn't just b/c the prophecy said so. Who's the selfish one now?
SareksGirl 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer In my opinion, Snape is a hero b/c he helped Harry in many ways. For example: His counter curse saved Harry from falling off his broom in the second book, and his patronus lead Harry to the sword of Gryffindor in the lake. Would Harry really have found it on his own? Probably not. Therefore, I believe Snape is an angel in the dark. So you keep on believing that Snape is a villan, and I'll keep believing that he's a hero b/c I know that nothing we say will change the other's mind.
SareksGirl 4 months ago in playlist Severus Snape
@SareksGirl I am not stating that Snape didn`t do good stuff in Harrys years. If you think
that way, then you are misunderstanding my posts. I am simply stating why Lily shoulden`t have
forgived him, going by the fact that she was sick of making excuses for him in school and he later joined
Voldemorts crew. I am a firm beliver that Lily/Snape is not going to work as J.K Rowling wrote them.
BlueFlowwer 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer She made excuses for him? I do not recall this. I remember that she stuck up for him when he was teased by James, which also reminds me that James wasn't any better than Snape, and yet, she gave him a second chance and ended up marrying him. She gave no second chance to Snape, therefore, he joined Voldemort's crew b/c he basically had nowhere else to go. No one else to turn to. I agree that the idea of Snape/Lily would not have worked in Rowling's writing.
SareksGirl 4 months ago
@SareksGirl Like I have said, go read The Prince`s tale
BlueFlowwer 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer I have read The Prince's Tale. I've also seen the last movie five times so I'm well aware of Snape's past.
SareksGirl 4 months ago
@SareksGirl Then why do you aks? Read Snapes worst memory. She pointed out to James
what he could change and he did last year. James where willing to change for Lily and grow up.
Snape didn`t. Besides that James hated the dark arts and had no hatred for muggleborn.
SNAPE JOINED A TERROISM ORGANISATION THAT MURDERED PEOPLE FROM LILYS BACKGROUND!
BlueFlowwer 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer Snape is the type that lives a lonely life, and a hard life at that. And everyone knows that these books contain life lessons to them. The fact that Lily didn't forgive him is just one of them. Even Snape states it himself.............."Life isn't fair." However deep in my heart, I think Snape and Lily could've worked. I know it's a weird combination. One light, caring, and happy. The other dark and melancholy. But have you ever heard the saying "Opposites attract?"
SareksGirl 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer But I respect your opinion on the matter and thank you for this conversation. I see where you're coming from on the whole Snape/Lily thing not going to work, but deep down I wished it could've been b/c Lord knows Snape deserved some happiness. Oh! The joining Voldemort thing? My theory is that he was pressured by his peers, Lucius mainly. But that's just me.
SareksGirl 4 months ago
@SareksGirl Wish if you may. Truth is that James where the better man and
Lily didn`t want to be friend with a rasistic bigot like Snape.
BlueFlowwer 4 months ago
@SareksGirl Snape calling Lily mudblood at school where the last straw. He had been
hanging around death eather jrs for many years and they where heading into opposite
directions. All these years he had said that being muggleborn where nothing wrong. Then
when their friendship where on a rocky grund, she comes to defend him from James. She even called James an arrogant toerag. How do Snape thanks her for that?
BlueFlowwer 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer Oh that is right. He throws the most rasical slur in the wizarding world
straight in her face. Lily who has been making excuses or him for years and thought of him as a friend when no one else did, gets a "mudblood" from him. That has to be the worst backstab I have ever read. Then outside
the G commonroom, she tells him that "He can`t wait to join Voldemort, can he"? Snape doesn`t deny it. Lily then asks why she is the only exception to him?
BlueFlowwer 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer Lily wasn`t taking Snape calling other muggleborns mudblood except
her. She doesn`t want to sacrifice her character and dignity by still hanging out with someone that considers every other one from her backgrund subhuman. Lily has no obligation to stand by Snape like that. She doesn`t want to get dragged down with him. Snape is the one that should have changed his opinion, not Lily. She doesn`t have to save a person that dosn`t wants to be saved in the first place!
BlueFlowwer 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer Now I have explained my side over and over again. I am a Slytherin by heart, but I also believe that ALL can be forgiven. If I were Lily, I would've forgiven him, b/c we all know that he was heading down a bad path, and she could've helped him. But it doesn't make a difference now b/c they're both dead and gone so maybe now she can forgive him in paradise. No character is labeled as either bad or good. JK Rowling said it her self. All of her characters have a difficult past.
SareksGirl 4 months ago
@SareksGirl So have I. I have enjoyed our conversation, we both keept it civil and clear.
I know we stand on diffrent sides, just wanted to say that Lily shouldn`t have forgived him and it is
Snapes fault for losing the friendship. Well in the end James took her words to heart, grew up
and Lily started to se him in a new light. So in the end, James changed and won Lily, witch Snape
did not and spended the rest of his life atoning for Lilys sake and bullied the son she died to save!
BlueFlowwer 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer He had just got his pants pulled down in front of the entire school thanks to James so yeah, he's going to be a little ticked off, and he didn't want to seem like a pussy when a girl defended him. He had to save what little dignity he had left. You have to see it his way. If he would've allowed a Gryffindor to stand up for him, not only would he be made fun of by the Gryffindors but also the Slytherins, which would leave him with absolutely no friends. He'd have Lily.
SareksGirl 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer But Lily didn't even care about him when they got older. She may have defended him, but if she had been successful, he would've followed her around like a lost puppy and she wouldn't have cared. She didn't give a damn about him. Yeah, she called James an arrogant toerag, but who did she end up marrying in the end? I believe the name is James Potter, who according to her, was no better than Snape. Snape made a mistake, and he APOLOGIZED for it, and Lily told him to save his breath.
SareksGirl 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer Her friends didn't understand why she even talked to him. I still believe he was peer pressured by other Slytherins. People act differently with certain groups. And apparently, Snape's time with Voldemort became an advantage, playing a triple agent and all. If you saw the last movie, you would catch the double meaning of the elder wand when Voldemort was talking with Snape. To quote Voldemort, "The wand resists me, b/c I am not it's true master."
SareksGirl 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer Snape replies, "The wand answers to you, and you alone."
Voldemort: "Does it?"
Voldemort's not stupid. He knows that Dumbledore will always be Snape's true master.
SareksGirl 4 months ago
@SareksGirl Eh, WTF? What Voldemort meant was that since he
belives Snape has killed dumbledore the elder vand master is Snape. You are taking
a event from the book that has NOTHING to do with what we are discussing. I guess
I won then since you can`t hold a valid agruments anymore. HAHAH!
BlueFlowwer 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer LOL!!!!! You didn't win. I typed the Voldemort argument late at night. Hell, I'm just getting started. : ) Let's debate for the rest of our lives!! Now...........The only reason snape bullied Harry was b/c Harry was the spitting image of James, who was Snape's bully throughout his years at Hogwarts. Do you have any idea how much pain is bottled up inside of that man? Or do you share no sympathy for someone who was the victim of bullying? Usually children who are bullied have........
SareksGirl 4 months ago in playlist Severus Snape
@BlueFlowwer ..........a tendency to push away help from loved ones. Again, Snape wanting to save what little dignity he had left by pushing away Lily's help, or insulting her. I don't deny that he insulted her; I confess that I've insulted my friends before, but they eventually got over it. The problem w/ Lily? She made other more "popular" friends, and totally forgot about her very first in the wizarding world. So she ended up with the better man. Big deal. He just repented his sins B 4 Snape.
SareksGirl 4 months ago in playlist Severus Snape
@SareksGirl She did not. Snape put a strain on their friendship by turning to
dark arts. It where his fault that he lost a chanse to their relationship to go any further. She defended
him for years. Does Lily need to put up with everything Snape does?
BlueFlowwer 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer so what? Snape dabbled in the dark arts. He was just a teen who was curious about something bad, and then was supported by his Slytherin peers that it was something good. Read between the lines. Lily DID have more popular friends who didn't approve of Snape so basically, Lily was ending the relationship anyway. The whole mudblood thing was the perfect excuse to end it. Where do you thing he learned the word anyway? From Lucius perhaps? Exactly where Draco heard it from.
SareksGirl 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer And so you believe that Lily chose the better man by being w/ James and not Snape. Well then that's her loss. There was no doubt that Snape loved her, or can the book prove me wrong on that? In fact in the movie, I'm surprised that Snape didn't kick the dead James as he walked through the house to find Lily. I certainly wouldn't blame him if he had though. And the part where he's holding Lily's dead body? Tear jerker.
SareksGirl 4 months ago in playlist Severus Snape
@BlueFlowwer Back on to the mudblood thing. You have to keep in mind that Lily is 15 at the time so she's probably going through puberty, PMSing, and having some emotional problems so any little thing could tick her off. The huge fact that Snape called her a mudblood puts him on her s*** list for life. And I may get off topic a little only because I'm sensing that you still believe Snape is the villain. Maybe. But this villain found his core and helped protect her son.
SareksGirl 4 months ago in playlist Severus Snape
@SareksGirl No you have to keep in mind that Snape has been drawn to the dark arts for a
long while, being close to some death eathers jr and joked when they used those arts
on one of Lilys housemates, Mary McDonald witch Snape laughts away and says that it where
just some harmless stuff. You alse have to keep in mind that those boys thougth of muggle-borns including
Lily sub-human and Snape where to join them.
BlueFlowwer 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer Besides, I guess I'm biased since I'm a Slytherin by heart, right? *evil smirk*
SareksGirl 4 months ago
@SareksGirl Dear Merlin...three pages of argument and we still keep going like this.
Well I am finished now here. I guess that you have your opinion and I have mine. FYI I have
read "between the lines" and I am not the only one who shares this view.
Seems that the majority of Lily/Snape shippers resides here and in fanficts. Well farewell then.
BlueFlowwer 4 months ago
@BlueFlowwer Indeed, we have been arguing for a very long time, and it's quite obvious that we have different opinions that aren't going to change. It's useless to continue an unending battle. *relieved sigh* So I'll return to my videos and fanfiction, dreaming about what life would've been like if they had been together. Your arguments were clear and logical, and I see your points. But I just can't bring myself to think the same way. I'd rather make a HP friend than an enemy. Good day to you!^^
