  • we saw this video at church on Sunday and it touched so many lifes. Thank you God for this testimony it touched and brought a lot of emotion and tears to our congregation. The last three sentences of this video are so powerful. True testimony of a man of God.

  • Glory to God for your life, Zack! whatever happen... God still God, Gos still great, and God is still good! this is another testimony that open my eyes.... God bless your wife and children.

  • Woooow...

  • Continued from my last comment. God allows Zac to have a wife and young children and then allows him to be tragically ripped away from them.WHY GOD?

  • @DeDona1 Have you read the book of Job? Testing and trying times happen, but God is the strength you can hold onto. Death isn't the end, and Zac knew that. His children will grow up knowing that their father died being the best dad he could, most people don't get that. It's a reminder that life is short, and you can get mad at God for that, or you can spend your life doing what is worth doing!!

  • @joshsh100 I have read the book of Job; many times! I am not mad at God, but am certainly disillusioned with the god that fundamentalist christianity creates. I can no longer take every word of the Bible literally because life has told me something different. You cannot have whatever you pray, you cannot receive by believing, you cannot drink poison and not be harmed(chemotherapy), Jesus can and does lose some of the ones the father gives Him. Zac clearly says he wanted to see his children grow.

  • @DeDona1 It's easy to say that what the bible says is 'disillusioned' when carried out in full. The truth is God can heal, but how can you say that His plan is less important than yours or Zac's?

Many people see troubles and blame God, though you can see through Genesis whose fault it really is.

Have you thought that maybe if we truly believe in Him we might want what He does -- others to come to Him. When our goals align I believe He will answer our prayers, unless He has other plans.

  • @joshsh100 I was a born again christian for 9 years. When I got saved, it was from reading the bible alone. I was always looking for ways to sacrifice the things that I felt were important and replace them with what God thought to be important. Many things I prayed for, like close family members being saved, never came to pass. If that is not God's will than what is? In Zac's story it is easy to stand at a distance and say "boy he had great faith, he trusted God no matter what".

  • @joshsh100 But the truth is that the Bible did not deliver on its promise. I am sorry that I have to say this. This man was given a beautiful family only to be ripped away. I have 3 daughters myself and I can say with all my heart that this man would have traded anything to see them grow. I am not doubting God's existence, but i am doubting the way we have come to understand him in the West. And according to the bible I am questioning God's fairness. The Bible should just say that Gods will be

  • @joshsh100 done alone. And not that we can possibly pray for what we want. Jesus did not attach strings when he said to believe and receive.

  • I am so sorry for Zac and his family, I guess Zac has died, leaving behind a wife and young. children! His cancer came back possibly because chemo and radiation can cause more cancer. I would like to know what God's problem is? Not only did Zac receive a false hope of being healed, He did not answer his countless prayers of being able to grow with his wife and young children. I mean if God would not heal Zac than who will He heal?! Jesus said we can have whatever we ask in His name, WHEN?!!

  • I made a tribute video of Zac and hope you don't mind as he inspired me SO much to keep my faith during my own struggle with cancer. May he rest in eternal peace and may God be with your family always...you are in my prayers every day!

  • Zac Are you happy? :)

  • I'm so sorry you're going through such a horrible illness that robs so many good people of lives that are so worth living. I lost my mom to Stage 4 ovarian CA 8 years ago. God doesn't give us cancer because of our failures. Our human condition of mortality does. God does carry us every step of the way, and He answers our prayers. When our suffering is done, He takes us home. Death can be his last gift to us. Your faith has touched so many lives! Prayers for you, your family and for peace

  • If I was diagnosed with cancer, I would treat it as a blessing, a challenge to grow in Christ and spread my love to others. It would remind me that life is short. I would love to influence others. Cancer would be a great motivation...at least to me. I can do my mission, and either stay or go home. I want to see Christ and can't wait to see Him. :) Earth is a proving ground.

  • my dad died of cancer, now my dear friend is suffering of it. Either God doesn't care or He don't have the power to heal. I asked my friend if God truly cares. Why does God look the other way and let people suffer?

  • @Godskid2009 We don't understand HIS will...I always wondered why are the good people dying and why are the bad ppl living ?Still didn't got an answer...But i never lose my faith in HIM :)and for this i'm very happy cuz if you trully belive in HIM a lot of magical things can happen ;) (to me it really happened)

  • @ElementalJaden for us Christians dying to be with Jesus is like the best thing that can happen to us. but yes, i totally know what you mean. we want those people who have great influence to stay with us longer

  • @ElementalJaden i have always had a problem with this topic your brought up. at times i lost my faith in Him because of the suffering in this world. If you have the time read the book "being disappointed in God." I was leaning on my own understanding until God used this book to open my eyes. The author is Philip Yancey. it is beautiful.

  • Phillip Yancey is a brilliant and very wise man. His books are SO insightful and a blessing to the reader.

  • When i saw this, i had tears in my eyes. Zac, you are a wonderful follower of Christ. I wish so much to be like you, you are so faithful and committed to the Lord. Our Father will bless you abundantly in heaven. You will always be in our hearts, forever and ever. You are the role model God has given us, thank you. :)

  • Zac, I know you are in heaven now with God and your pain is over but you will be missed. I hardly knew you but I know how much your friends and family loved you. Everyone prayed that you would be healed, and now you are. You will have no more pain or missed tomorrows. You are with Jesus now. God is good, and to God be the glory.

  • i just heard about Zac going to be with the lord today. So so so so sad , but at the same time its so good. No weeping no hurt or pain

No suffering You hold me now

    You hold me now

No darkness no sick or lame

No hiding You hold me now

    You hold me now

Hillsong - You Hold Me Now

  • Zac, thank you for sharing your story with us, i first saw your video when my youth group visited Boston Baptis college and it inspired us all SO much ! you are an amazing person and i pray that you do get to walk your daughter down the aisle and watch your sons become men and grow old with your wife ! God is good and i know he is doing amazing things through you !

  • @dimfichat How sad and pathetic your life must be to come here and leave a comment like that. Whether you agree with Zac's beliefs or not, he's someone who has come to terms with his situation and has found his peace. Yours are the words of a coward, hiding behind a keyboard. Regardless of what one believes, I think anyone with a shred of maturity could be happy for Zac's courage and resolve. Your words are tactless and you're an extremely poor representative for your beliefs and humanity.

  • @dimfichat, hey bro, i don't want to blast you or anything (although your words do hurt). because zac one time told me that some arguments are not worth fighting... i wouldnt try to change your beliefs with an online post. i would like to tell one thing though. the more i learn in life the more i realize that nothing is certain. it would be a good question for you to ask why you believe what you believe, then ask why to that answer, and why again... i pray my God will bless you.

  • Zac, I watched your video when your dad came to speak at Boston Baptist College this past week. You are truly an inspiration. No matter what card you were dealt, you proved that with God all things are possible. I believe you WILL live past 2011. God has great plans for you. Speaking for myself, I know you have encouraged me to follow his path to a greater extent each and every day. I will be praying for you everyday. You truly have changed me through your words. Stay strong and live for today.

  • Zac, Thanks you for sharing your video. There is alot of questions in life that we will never know the answers too. I'm a 11 yr. colon cancer survivor. My cancer has changed my life. It has brought me closer to my Heavenly Father. Stay positive, God is in control.

  • Hi Zack awesome Zack the courage & strength you have, and the love of God. You are in my prayers and your Family.

I would really like to talk with you Zack You can reach me at this PH # 952-486-8593 Love Keith Hoppe

  • My mother asked me on her deathbed why she was dieing(pancreatic cancer), because a TV preacher and others said she would be part of the last generation, that wouldn't pass, before Jesus Came Back. I still dont know why,but she told me she was doing the chemo treatments,to Jesus time to heal her,but I dont think it works that way.I pray whole heartedly Zac, but really I believe Jesus may have"gone Green" to coin a phrase, RECYCLE-to use again that which has not lost worth.Aho Peace beon U'r house

  • This video is great!Your trust in God is inspirational.I have 14 units(3 labs) and work 20-30 hours at Disneyland. I get stressed and upset. This video has shown me that God is in control of my life. God is using this "busy" schedule to test my faith. Thanks Zac for helping me realize this. Praying for you buddy.

  • @MarkG45

Who are you to say visitng a doctor is "disrupting his plan"? Putting trust in God, means putting trust in whatever he has given. Saying that a person should not use chemo, or visit a doctor is like saying, "You work an hour from your home...but don't use your car, walk." We have been given the gift of vehicles, just as He has supplied us with wonderful doctors, nurses, and medication.

I thank you Lord for Your gifts, and Your plan--which is much better than ours!

  • this changed me.

  • You're a truly powerful person, Zack. I admire your perseverance in what you believe and I wish only the best for you. I'll say a prayer for you.

  • Wonderful testimony, Zack. We will ask our church to pray for you and your family.

  • Amen, brother! You're either going to get better, or you're going to get a lot better. ...and God will walk with your wife & children all their days whether you are there or not. May God bless you with His richest blessings and may He strengthen and comfort you and all your family. Thanks for posting this.
