I think the ruin of the Shrek series was the new secondary characters introduced. In Shrek 1 we have Donkey, who is a very funny character. Shrek 2, we get Puss in Boots, who is an awesome character. But in Shrek 3, we got Artie. Yeah, an average kid who gets bullied in school isn't funny as the other two secondary characters. In Shrek 4 we got the Ogre Resistance who were ok, but the concept was very dark.

this lost all the fun of the last three movies. it actually became a bit too serious. i still liked the last film better cause it was still fun and it still made me laugh. but of course shrek 1 is still the best! it's funny and heart warming at the same time. first time ever that the uglies get to have a happy ending in fairy tales. i was getting tired of gorgeous princesses with their perfect princes.

Here's my short review. 1. at the beginning first few minutes into the movie is great, little while after the intro it begins to be boring and irritating, it does this repeated thing over and over, i hate to say it. Less entertaining and brings more of a depression moment. 2. waste of 2 hours, it some how does not fallow the last 3 movies. 1 & 2 are the best and 3rd movie is ok. 4th movie lame.
