  • War Elephant is actually my favorite dish-washing album of all time, and not because of Dirty Dishes. I love that song but I skip it when washing dishes because that would be trite ; /

  • ew.. you only rinsed the cups

  • lol this is sweet. stop withall the captain obvious comments!

  • Does "a responsible adult who does her own dishes" let them pile two feet above the sink before washing them?

  • those are some clean dishes

  • Chido!!!!!!!!!!

  • Screw Smurfthumper, just sayin. This video made me smile when i was all sorts of bummed. Thank you for this bit of wonderful.

  • thats alot of fucking dishes.

  • Not once did I see you use soap but damn this is a great song.

  • this song reminds me of the summer time with good friends.

    ohhh memories :)

  • annoys me how people are questioning how you decide to wash up, shows how fucked up the people of the west are ;(

  • @zakflannal yeah we are totally fucked because we question a person's dish washing technique, haha

  • I'll excuse this blatant waste of both water and bandwidth because the song is awesome.

  • douche

  • Just letting the water run. Thanks for being green!

  • douche

  • go away

  • the water gets recycled besides she was using it

  • wow, you were really bored one day..

  • That chef's knife pointing blade up in the cutlery section is a recipe for a serious cut.

  • damn you really let that shit pile up...

  • douche

  • I own the same dish drain. Mine is blue.

  • weirdly, i have much such a similar video of myself-- ahh extra time and self- watching...

  • LOL...what if she dl'd the song and it was labeled "dirty dishes" instead of "Art Isn't Real"?

  • thats a lot of dishes :\ i think you need to switch to biodegradable dinnerware

  • love this video. thank you.

  • I'm with Smurf. Why didn't you use Dirty Dishes? lol.

  • are you really washing those?

    dont see any soap hahaha.

  • Am I the only one amused that you didn't choose to wash dishes to Deer Tick's "Dirty Dishes"?

  • i feel stupid when i smile

  • You are wasting water.

  • no u

  • o rly?

  • Put the soap in a brush and never fill the sink.

Only have 2 plates wash as needed.

    Great song

  • She let the dishes build up too much to put hot soapy water in the sink. Just like I do. Deer Tick rules.

  • I don't even get the whole "fill the sink with water" thing. Am I supposed to rinse the dishes in dirty water? No thanks.

  • Unenvironmental American waste of resources, leave the tap running for every dish? You slack bastard.

  • Ok, Are you not enjoying the mass consumption of coal just to type your ignorant response like the rest of us Americans and billions around the globe? Are you so self righteous because your food comes from an organic farm that's 4000 miles away or because you have a solar panel on your house that was assembled in China and made from petroleum products and silcon from around the globe? Don't get on some high horse just because you think your solving climate change by washing dishes a certain way.

  • First off, I think adamersia was making a joke.

Secondly, who's on the "high horse?" Don't try and turn the tables with information that you, yourself, are guilty of. That, my friend, makes you look stupid.

By the way, what does having products made "around the globe" have anything to do with wasting resources? We fix the energy and fuel problems and we can trade with whoever we want, however we want.

  • You should remember to take the costs of transportation into account.

  • I don't know whether ahamersia was making a joke a or not. There is nothing to indicate that he/she was, therefore I can only take it for face value. You not understanding how global trade relates to wasting resources makes you look stupid.

  • Haha, expectable answer from you. You missunderstand me. I'm not naive in thinking that global trade is simply free or without consequence.

My point was that there are things we can do about it, but we don't. If we fix those problems, we can trade with anyone we want. Seems like we (as corporations) only give a shit if it's worth it to us by some form of payback.

Oh, that and the fact that you were fairly hypocritical in your statement.

    That is all.

  • why are you guys trippin about stuff like this on these comments?

there are always things to be done

but most of it will never happen

because like you said about people only caring about payback

thats all the majority of people companies or big countries will care about

    its a mean old world

  • @wingnut420

LOL I got to agree with you.

  • You're wasting water.. Put hot soapy water in the sink.

  • Well done

  • no soapy water in the sink?

  • Nope. Just doing the dishes.

  • Great song.

Am I supposed contemplate the connection between the lyrics and mundane chores like the dishes? What gives?
