  • So, 1) I didnt see you do it, but I have a regular snes with (wired controllers), so can you use that wireless controller with a snes? & is so, 2) WHY ARENT YOU SELLING THESE?1? or at least showing an easy way how to make them like you did.

  • Hi mate, would you consider making one and selling it to me?

  • df

  • the hex files on the site are down :( now i need to learn to compile the hex from the source he posted

  • can you conver a gamecube controller like that

  • Cool.

  • does anybody know where to find a tutorial for this???? thanks

  • The Page does not exist any more. Can I find the tutorial anywhere else?

  • Nice thing!

Is it possible to connect more than just one controller to a single receiver? Would be very nice for multiplayer gaming!

  • Cool, I want to buy one!

  • You should sell these. i would love to buy one from you

  • Hey do you think u could make a snes classic controller but with analog sticks also, cos then it would be a snes proper wireless classic controller for the nintendo wii

  • Hey Myndale, love the controllers, Props on that! Just wanted to know though, is it possible to make one work with an emulator on a laptop/desktop? Would love to use this to play some SMB3

  • how do you connect it to the wii??

  • The receiver plugs into the gamecube controller port and uses that ports protocol to communicate with the Wii.

  • So the port for the wireless transmitter is for Game Cube, does this mean that the Wireless SNES could also be used on PC through a GameCube to USB converter?

  • I agree with DaveGerm. It would be awesome if you could make a version that could use double A batteries and could connect to a PC via a wireless USB piece. There are plenty of cheap Red and Black SNES pads that you could get off Ebay to use for building prototypes.

  • you're my personal hero X)

  • you sound like old greg

  • Sweet thumbs up

  • ok sweet now how do you do it

  • yeah.... how DO you do it?

  • [Go to the web address shown at the very end. It details how to do it.]

  • will u be selling this? that would be awesome!

  • HI MARK!

  • u hold the controller wierd

  • Lol. Actually that was solely for the camera, it was very uncomfortable :)

  • freakin' sweet

  • Hi Mark ! Lmfaoo :P

  • Could this be done with a classic controller, so that you can use it to play Gamecube games wirelessly?

  • Oberonjames....the communication protocol between the classic controller and the Wiimote has been cracked, so in theory it would be possible with faster microcontroller and Wifi chips than the ones I used. Not sure if the classic has enough free space inside though...

  • If your project is awesome with NES/SNES controller, with the classic controller, will be GOD!

Try to do this with a classic controller:

    - Wireless

    - Rumble Support

    - Ability to connect to Wii-mote (like the normal Classic controller do)

    - Add the info to your webpage.

Can be do all this things?

    Good luck!

  • One word: Wavebird. Ultimate wireless IMHO.

  • Wii Classic Controller is FAR FAR FAR better than wavebird, because is smaller, is like a perfect fusion of SNES controller with N64 and GC buttons and compatible with all retro games. Mod this controller to be a GC wireless controller will excellent, because will can play all GC games with it and also the Virtual Console games. Oh, and don't having the wiimote attached in the controller!

But.. need some experimented people to do this and share to everyone.

  • Oh I know, I was simply saying that I think that for that, the Wavebird would be better. And if they would add rumble to Virtual Console games...StarFox 64 doesn't seem as fun as I remember it being without the rumble...

  • wow thats cool , good job

  • nice work man

  • You should go to china, get a warehouse, teach little asian children how to make them, then distribute them :).

Heck, I'd work for you if I got 4 free ones myself :).

  • I still love seeing this. I would get out and spend the money to make one myself, but I have no hacking or soldering knowledge at all. It probably isn't hard once you understand it, but still, I really want one of these. I'd pay you if you made me one of each, man. You could turn a project into a profit! Mail-order, anyone?

  • That is really freaking cool!!

Nice work... Now you should sell them! My solder skillz is the lame.

  • Looked at how to make your own but since I don't know anything about this it seems very hard to make one. Planning to sell if one ship over a controller?

  • What is your web page?

  • Web page is shown at the end of the video.

  • Awesome, I'm gonna have to try this.

  • well, thanks for your help. i was wondering cuz i have 2 broken n64 controllers and i for 1 think there were a lot of gd n64 games, some having already been released for virtual console, such as starfox 64. i dont kno too much about electronix, so if u did do teh bluetooth thing i would heavily appreciate it.

  • would this work with an n64 controller?

  • No, the wireless packet used by this controller contains 12 data bits, 1 per button. The N64 controller needs many more, and the wifi chips I used would have a hard time sending packets fast enough. I might consider a bluetooth version if enough good games for the N64 are released on Virtual Console, that would allow all controller types to be supported.

  • you should make the wireless reciver the wave bird reciver =] and i hope you make a how to make them =]

  • The wavebird transmitter circuitry won't fit in the original controllers, and it'd be more expensive buying one just for the receiver. The instructions to make these are at the web page shown at the end of the clip.

  • good work, mate :-)

are you willing to share the schematics or a howto-guide?

  • U should make a N64 wireless controler

  • Nice work man

  • This is nice good job. I'm going to give it my best to make one of these now :D

  • you could make a lot of money selling these.

I would definitely buy one of each

  • just one question:

How do you download the codes to the 16F84A-20 microcontroller? does it requires a lot of programing knowledge?

  • Also, when is the NES assembly for the transmiter coming up!?

  • How much was it for all the parts for the NES controller? including transmiter and reciever.

    Thx

  • this is sic

  • hopefully next we get a n64 wireless, or sega genesis wireless :D

  • wow - top stuff. so no noticeable lag? that's a briliant job.

oh, and welcome to CWA :)

  • The best Wii mod so far. Thankyou for sharing. Awesome!

  • I don't own any VC games, but this hack is quite ingenious.

You did a phenomenal job, or at least it looks so. But really, very VERY nice job!!!

  • Good work, I'm impressed.

  • Would this work on a PC? =D I want one!

  • doh. of course right after I make that post I see the address at the end of the video. I watched it twice and still didn't see it. my bad.

  • So when you said visit your website for instructions...were you planning on giving out the address somewhere?

  • Hey im only a teen and i do not have the resources for the hack myslef. Im willing to pay you if you make them for me

  • id be willing to pay upwards of 70 bucks a pop for a wireless controller for older consoles.

  • This is absolutely unbelievable. You should be crowned as the king of hardware modders.

  • I want a Nes conroller too, maybe i would get my old nes out the basement and modify it myself :P

  • pretty cool, congratulations

  • Nice!

  • I want it, wish I had the h-core skills for teh H4x0r

  • Good work !

  • Nice video!

  • Iam a PS Fan, but this work is amazing! love it!

    5*s bro!!!

  • cool

can you made one for me :p
