  • The fact is enough research hasn't been done on Stevia, which is why it can't be sold as a sweetener and has to be labeled as a "dietary supplement'. The only version of stevia commercially available as a sweetener isn't steviosol, its rebaudioside a, a purified component of stevia. Steviosol when processed by the gut processes it into steviol which if not passed out of the body can cause birth defects, damage sperm production, and it is a carcinogen.

  • "Lo and behold"

Do you have any peer reviewed scientific studies or just personal anecdotes?

"Aspartame has been linked to neurological disorders"

Put up or shut up. Citations or you're lying.

"The Absence of Genotoxicity of Sucralose" Brusick D., et al. "Food Chem Toxicol" 2010 Nov, 48 (11) 3067-72.

A study on rats fed only Splenda from fetus to adulthood showing no adverse side effects.

There are also issues with a byproduct of stevioside poisoning kidneys, birth defects, etc.
