  • Gilda, I do not see how you have used encaustic all these years. The idea of HEAT, hot plates, and heat guns, freaks me out for some reason. Your color palette is so different now. Come to think of it, mine is too. I remember using earthy tones back in the day. My stuff looks like it circus paint now!! LOL Isn't it funny how we learn over time. You have learned beeswax yellows. I stopped using varathane because it does the same thing. Wonderful vid!! (((hugs))))

  • Hey Gilda - Love your new stuff! .... And thank you so much for taking the time to shoot and post all of your videos. The fact is, that whenever I get low or stale with my art; I watch 'your' videos and they always get me going again. On my stuff. It would be true to say that your work inspires me to do mine. So 'Thank You' for being you Gilda!

  • Gilda!! I'm so thrilled to see another Studio Update!! Look at all that luscious chewy stuff of yours! Really interesting to see more of the old stuff. And dad on the poetry piece was great. And so full of info re process as usual. I LOVE THESE STUDIO UPDATES. I've favorited all of them. Soooo inspiring. Love the new pieces. The stenciling adds an interesting dimension. This is my idea of heaven. Truly. Now I'm going to re-watch with another cup of tea and freeze on particular works. Yay!
